I think the reason we got such excellent judging this fight was due to the fact that we also had an AI judge that sort of competed with their jobs. I'm sure the judging organization is worried about being replaced and wanted to score this one as good as they possibly could to avoid any controversy.
The AI Judge used in this was a foundation 2D model creating skeletons and tracking and analysing scoring shots using build in criteria. It is not so effective because it still cannot accurately score or relay how effective a punch was. Besides that, they must have barely started working on the software for the judge less than 6 months ago - besides serving little purpose post fight and not really explaining their criteria for such a subjective sport. There's a company called Jabbr AI which does 3D depth scans and has built their foundational AI model specifically for boxing. They have provided breakdown and stats for the first fight as well as for Dazn & TNT using their 4 cameras (in 4 corners of the ring) and simultaneous analyze the feed in real time to give you the stats. I think Jabbr is the way to go.
Fury is shite against decent boxers....wilder was not a good boxer, just a brawler who happens to have an amazingly powerful haymaker. Usyk is smart, moves and uses Fury's height and weight against him. It probably wasn't that far apart, for me fury was poor again, scared to commit and was always looking for a points finish.
The beauty of a Fury v AJ fight is that, apart from being a wonderful spectacle, a full house at Wembley and a huge clash many wanted to see for years... Is that at least one of them gets a win obviously which if a last fight is going to be a great way to bow out, while the loser has already lost at least twice now so another loss ain't going to hurt what's already a shattered legacy in regards being considered a generation GOAT. I think that fight's a win win for everyone. Huge cash-cow, an exciting fight, will be a great atmosphere, much anticipation and regardless of the fact both guys lost their last fight, they're still clearly in great shape, AJ hits like a nuke, Fury gets hit, gets up again. Alot of fighters won't accept these types of defeats regardless of what they say on camera. Fury is pretty honest, he thought he won but he didn't go on and make excuses like many fighters do. Concerning the AI judge. It all depends on how you train it.
