You really need to get your own show! I love your work! Outstanding advice and I love how you spread love not hate. So many people would be shaming the hairdresser that did her hair but you kept it as neutral as possible. Such genuine inspiration.

Omg this is exactly what my hair looked like! I let my dads fiancé do my hair because she’s a hair dresser and she completely botched it. I’ve never cried over my hair but I cried for a week straight. I went and got it fixed by a student at a local beauty college. She’s only 19 and SLAYED it.
How's your relationship with her (dad's fiance) now? What did your dad say?

I was in high school cosmetology for a couple years and I went to a professional hair stylist that cost me about 200-ish but at the high school I didn’t even have to pay because I was a test subject for the new learning cosmetologist and I got better and more precisely what I wanted at the school then I did at the salon.
I love how in depth he explains everything he does to his client's hair, it really helps when you are trying to learn more about it
I still remember when he only had 30K. He has always been amazing and didn’t change after fame, unlike so many others. So proud of him!

i get what he was saying but i think it’s just a dumb excuse to do whatever he wanted. which is fine!!!! he’s good at what he does! he knows what he’s doing, he knows he could’ve given her the exact color she wanted, he didn’t have to make up some excuse for why he didn’t. he wanted to do a pastel pink hair video so he did a pastel pink hair video. as a customer i would’ve been annoyed but also just happy it didn’t look awful lol
You're right. I didn't remember until I read your cmoment. Lo lol. But really just getting her to one all over shade was a miracle. Then she can go ombre or whatever once it grows some more. Probably he told her off camera or edited that the rose gold was the best option.
I think he's paying her as a model and she has no choice but idk maybe she just changed her mind
You have to take into consideration, that the video is edited. I'm sure he asked her some time in the process if it was okay.

kellster00 it will fade to golden blonde tones anyways and guy knows what he is doing. It was such a mess when she walked in and he did amazing and she has to get it toned again Anywsys to keep the shadow root etc upkeep until her own roots grow back and by then she will be due for balayage again and guy can fix it even better. Like then she can let her own roots grow out and not need the shadow root unless she wants to of course. She can then have her own hair colour fading into a lighter golden blonde which I think is what her goal is.

The novelty hair colors are awesome, but where I really have respect for Guy Tang's craftsmanship is how he's a master at correcting other hairdressers' shoddy workmanship and helping people get their dignity back from some nasty PARANORMAL HAIRTIVITY!

Julio César you’re right Julio both color their hair of course. But from my experience as a colorist I’ve only ever had women wreck their hair with horrible products. Take it as a compliment lol but both should do their research
I'm confused when you're hired as a hair model wouldn't you know that they're going to color, cut, etc your hair, however they like lol..
I love when you do these color correction videos and show all the steps involved to correct the color. Most people think that hairstylist don’t need to know shit and it’s not hard you just slap color on the hair and you’re done! So the fact that you make these videos to show everything you need to know in order to correct color I think really helps to get people to understand. Please keep up with the videos! Kerri Husa Sounds like a cool job, but on the other hand look at what the lunatics (who her modeling agency sent her to) did to her hair! You would think that someone hiring a hair model would be professional, but they essentially turned out to be toddlers who destroyed her hair. Only a miracle-worker like Guy Tang could save it, and after this she really needs at least a year-long break to let her hair regrow and recover, bless her heart! She was extremely lucky she was able to get with Guy, and I imagine this happens a majority of the time to hair models because the people hiring them are *only* interested in what it looks like for those few minutes of actual modeling; they don't care about the damage.

I absolutely love that you cover the model/Instagram issue that is dominating the modelling industry now !
I run a modelling agency and I have had clients that will ask for models Instagram before making their decision :( I purposely do not give out models Instagram as it has nothing to do with the client. it’s really sad because models that have worked so hard to improve their book are being overshadowed by those that are nowhere near as suited for the job. I feel like I would be doing a disservice to my agency if the model has been chosen just on their followers.
