As an Aussie I can shed some light on why they are heavy on the EDM influence. So Australia LOVES music and each capital of our states have a specific genre that is the most popular. So Melbourne, where I’m from, it’s Rock/Indie music that’s most popular. Brisbane, Queensland, surprisingly since it such a beach state has a huge heavy alternative/Screamo scene. Now both Bang Chan (who is the lead producer and song writer) and Felix, grew up in Sydney, Australia. Sydney is heavily into EDM, Drum and Bass and house music. That’s what they grew up with and which explains why Bang Chan is so good with creating beats, and the EDM influence in the songs he creates. Every single member is insanely talented and driven and I’m so happy when I see more and more people, who may have never listened to kpop in their life, not only respect Stray Kids but become legit fans 💜💜💜
