Does anyone know if you change your gear ratio on your truck should you change install a torque converter with a different stall speed or does it affect your torque converter at all
I ordered the same kit 9.5 for the rear and 8.25 for the front for my 2016 Sierra Denali but I had a problem with the pinion bearings, they sent me wrong size bearings I guess
What's your opinion since you have had the gears swapped, trans tune, and the performance tune? I have a 2017 Sierra AT with the 6.2 and was curious. I have a 4" lift and 35" Ridge Graps on factory 20's. Runs good but it's not as fast as or was stock. 3.23 gears belong in a car haha
@@TheCortezChannel. absolutely man. I haven't done much for awhile since its been 90+ and somedays 100+ heat index. Hopefully this fall I'll have the truck ready to race more/more dragy runs. Really wanting to swap to LT2 manifold and get the truck on E85 still.
Yo bro I’m thinking about doing 4.10 I currently have 3.42’s 9.5” 12 bolts Would I need a tru trac ? Did you do a tru trac ? If so for what ? From my understanding, a tru track is for those guys that only burn out with one wheel lol My truck burns out with two ?
@@5.3david17 The G-80 and Yukon LSD are POSI. They use clutch packs and springs to engage. The more usage the more wear. The Eaton TrueTrac, however, is a Helical All Gear High Bias Limited slip. It will maintain its bias torque over the lifetime of the vehicle and is way better for aggressive (burn outs) and off roading applications. I have one in my 2000 GMC Yukon SLT. This things a beast, I don’t even need 4WD. The TrueTrac ate everything terrain I threw at it turn my old truck into an off road beast.
@@TheCortezChannel. thank you I have 5.3 with 3.42 gears. I hate how on some hills I have to downshift in 7th. Just bugs me. Either going 3.73 or 4.10. Have not made up my mind yet
@@daltinos1011 if you're going to commit to buying gears I'd go 4.10's. I think going to 3.73's from 3.42's won't justify the cost, especially if your truck is 4x4
Just saw this. Glad we got some new content on the truck! Thanks for the info! I want to do the same to my 3.42 gears in my LTZ Silverado.
Gears make a big difference, thanks for watching! 🤙🏼🙏🏼

Does the GM 9.5 rear end fit on a gmc sierra denali 2016 6.2L ?

4.10s are performing well. I did sacrifice a bit of rpm on the highway but nothing crazy (around 550 rpm difference) doing 80mph.
What year is your truck and which front axle gear set did you use? Having a hard time sourcing Front Set for a 2019
Do you have a link to where you purchased your gearing kits?
Ready to see them 12s on dragy!
Same here! 🤞🏼 ...I want way cooler weather though, these 95+ days kill it

@@eric6.2ltccsb yeah my buddy has the LT2 intake and likes it. If I ever cam the truck I'd go that route
@@TheCortezChannel. I'm tryna see how quick I can go even if it has to be on dragy and a 30° night, stock cam/converter etc..
@@eric6.2ltccsb when I last used the Draggy it was 50°
Best upgrade you can do on a 4x4!
Hell yeah!
@@TheCortezChannel. 1st up I on a 4x4
did it run quicker too bro? got a 17 high country l86/8l90 stock wheels and height but wouldn’t mine going with these gears to help it
Do you still have the invoice for all parts needed. I contacted ECGS but quote is a bit less. Seems like i might be missing something
I don’t sorry
That bike tho 🔥
😎🤘

I kept my G80 locker that came from factory. Everyone talks down on the G80 but it hasn't let me down. (Knock on wood)

That grass tho! 😍
how much difference does it feel cruising in 8th gear on hills on highway? Like does it keep pulling with little throttle?
Definitely feels better. Rpm's stay at 2k at 70mph so once I touch the throttle she immediately starts pulling
@TheCortezChannel what size tires you have? 33x12.5r20?

Nice tool box
How did those AAM's turn out for u?
They were wonderful! No issues at all.
Did your cruise control stop working after u regeared?
@@jayr.1523 nope, everything worked just fine after gear swap
You got a tuner?

Did you use 75w-90 for the front or 75w-85 for both front & rear ?
75w85 for both
