Hey! To get those wheels clamped, use 3 longer screws and tighten them down. They will clamp down, then use the shorter screws for the other holes. Then switch out the longer ones for the shorter ones! Do the screws in cross pattern and not side by side. I used the long screws from the uprights and the regular nuts. I enjoy your content! Bye!
You've done a damn good job of that RC10 mate, it looks awesome!! It was quicker than I was expecting to be honest, I don't think it needs more power. Nice one!
I saw someone post a tip for doing the front hubs was to use much longer bolts to clamp them together first. Once you have a few done up you can start fitting the normal kit bolts as per the manual and then remove the longer ones. I haven't tried it myself yet but might help. I just looked in the comments below and a few people have said it works :)
Yeah don’t really have that these days closest is a blinky class or a 17.5 brushless class or equivalent, but I’m do remember 19t stock class and in the UK 27 stocks class
I just got my RC 10 team car gold edition together. I had one issue and looked around on the forms and saw a couple other people had the same issue so be aware when you get yours. The front bearings would not go over the front axles. I tried using grease first, they just wouldn’t fit what I ended up doing was getting some fine sandpaper and lightly sanding the axles and they finally fit. Just be aware when you get your kit you might have the same issue.
Yeah those wheels are a bugger to clamp. Top tip. Soak the tyres in fairly hot water to soften em up. Then clamp them down. Makes it much easier. Don’t burn your fingers though.
Andy. that looked pretty fast for a 20 turn motor and it seemed to handle well. That location looks like it would make a great race track. Is it an old bowling green ?
Yes it surprised me as well for a 21t motor, although I did go with a bugger pinion gear as well. I was at Stanley park Blackpool on an old bowling green it’s very rarely used for bowls these days
Great kit and great video. However I wonder how you guys gather the courage to run anodised chassis without polycarbonate trays...I just got a beautiful Cougar 2 works and it would break my heart to scratch that chassis. In fact, I don't even wanna scratch the chassis skin I purchased for £20! 🤣 That might be why my favourite cars are the ones which come with a lexan tray.
Ha ha , I know what you mean David, my 40th anniversary kit has a chassis skin and I should get one for the Halsey one as well. Usually though once I’ve decided something’s gonna be used for racing I accept it gonna get scratches and scuffs ;) cheers for watching
Hi there the Jay Halsey edition isn’t limited in anyway do you should be able to get one from a hobby store. Www.insidelinemodels.com should have them in stock and you can use the 5% dis out code in the video if that helps :)

Thanks for the tip Gavin, a few people have suggested similar or using a big grunt to get it done. We shall give it another go soon. Cheers again :)

You can use soap and water on the font wheels.

Cheers Dave, yeah I thought that we’ll , wasn’t expecting much from the motor really as it was just a spare I had

Awesome car, however ive had some issues with AE's quality control as well. I had one kit with an unthreaded turnbuckle...im not joking.
Thanks for sharing not had that one luckily

I see the CC is much cheaper now. Is it harder to build? Yours looks great.
Will the kids of today know what an RC10 is?
