@@braysfly it has a wider POV when using the gimbal because the "Action mode" crops the video to give stabilisation. Using a gimbal you don't need to do that, also, on action mode there's a quality loss 😅

As far as I notice on a gimble u see the full picture. On action mode it takes a smaller framed and cuts out the shaking which is around that frame So technically it is stabilizing it cutting the unstable parts out and shows us the stable part
The video’s too compressed to see the results, but generally speaking a gimbal will give better picture quality since it doesn’t need to zoom in the camera. That said, action mode is built in and is cromulent for non- cinema shooting
This should be repeated to compensate for the crop that the in camera stabilisation applies. It would be interesting to see if there is a noticeable lack in clarity with comparible fields of view.
The iPhone just does what editing softwares have been able to do for ages... if you are really at the point where you are considering buying a gimbal, but you don't mind if it looks more zoomed and slightly unnatural, just use stabilisation in post-production like Premiere Pro's Warp Stabiliser. If you are not using a software that has a stabilisation feature, you probably don't need a stabiliser.
looks great, just a shame you lose like 30% of the frame cuz it has to zoom in SO MUCH to compensate for the movement It looks fantastic though for sure, but ofc nothing can beat a real gimbal. now if you wanna go next level, you can use a real gimbal AND action mode for some buttery smooth motion! haha
Well phone stabilizer isnt actually a "stabilizer". Its more like pre-prossesing using AI to crop video so it would be look stabil. Basically like using google photo to stabilize video.
