      Why does he still have his Ireland place? Just to close out games? He's sooo different to our style of play that with a scrum half injury we couldn't play or style with him coming off the bench

      Do you not understand how the internet media works? the same people who write all the negative comments about Munster and OTB talking about Munster are driving more views, clicks, likes/dislikes, and OTB see in their reports that the Munster videos get the most interactions on their channel. They do more on Munster, the same fans complain and the cycle repeats. If you want them to stop talking Munster, stop watching and particularly, stop commenting, it's your own fault.

      @@barryryan14 ok. I get your point. However I don’t wish for OTB to stop talking about Munster completely. It’s just the recent narrative of will they won’t they improve over time? Van Gran, last season, no win since 2011 etc etc. It’s been discussed ad nausium at this stage. Love the OTB coverage in general.

    All tactical substitutions should be made up to 60 minutes and substitutions after 60 minutes should be injuries only. The main reason is, players are earning caps by subbing on for a minute or two when the game is virtually over.

    here's my little dream of domestic bliss: 4 irish teams, 2 scottish, 3 welsh, 7 english with an 18-game season.
    - i doubt premiership would have entertained this in the past, but beggars can't be choosers
    - the sa teams are good fun, but a more centralized league with easier travel for fans and players is better and more cost efficient. as it stands, im already more likely to watch harlequins vs saracens than bulls vs lions.
    - wales is stretched too thin on talent and england is hemorraghing money, so they merge some teams. the italian teams i don't have a solution or care for. they can all go play for nice maybe...
    - bit controversial but i think the champions cup has become silly. the format changes every year, it creates a stop/start in the domestic league that repeatedly kills momentum, many teams don't field their best, the epcr finals is awkwardly before domestic finals, now there are south african teams in the "european" cup, its based off the previous year (bath was in "champions" cup last yr and was almost winless in the premiership), and with all the talk around player welfare and the long calendar, it should be dumped. fewer games and better competition means the first team will play regularly in the domestic league making it more exciting.
    - replace champions cup a one game mega-final between the winner of top 14 and my new premiership at a fun neutral site (canary islands?). runners up can play the evening before for third place. a sort of weekend festival.
    - added bonus of making lions selection a lot more interesting
    thoughts?

    • @robhallie
      @robhallie Рік тому +3

      Can't agree. Number games doesn't add up in your league. Europe is brilliant no way that should be dropped. Italy deserve to be somewhere can't disregard growing the game. Overall it's an elitist view you have defined and that's not what the game actually needs.

    • @markc3258
      @markc3258 Рік тому +1

      Not bad
      English pride would stop this ..
      In a normal league you play home and away so that would be 30 games form your list ..
      The Italians are in the six nations ?
      If not included they would fall even further behind .
      English clubs are slowly going bankrupt.. so you never know .
      Would you add in promoting in to league ?
      Might be a closed shop otherwise ?
      Having the same finals in at the same location two nights in a row is adding to the costs for the fans so not good , hotels and flights become impossible to get at even a half decent price ..

      @@markc3258 all good questions. with games i'd have 4 divisions of 4 with home and away only in divisional matchups. so 15 games + 3 additional divisional fixtures - like urc works currently. unfortunately, i can't really think of a way that relegation would make sense. for the italians i think they'd be better served playing elsewhere than having winless seasons at zebre with half the team being imports, kinda like how the argentines are scattered throughout europe and i think are better for it. anyway all just fun musings - i think pro rugby still has a ways to go in getting their structures in order. like a domestic league where teams are based 10,000 km apart on different continents just can't be the answer...
