The show we have all been waiting for 😂 No but in all honesty, thank you to the All Blacks for a great competitive two weeks. Only thing I want to highlight is Razor isn’t the quick fix everyone thought he would be. International rugby isn’t SR and it will take time - but I think the team, fans and pundits need to face the reality that nothing lasts forever - and that there’s no shame in going through a rebuild phase - there will be some tough losses to take a long the way but you guys will always be in the conversation. End of year tour will be very telling. All blacks could walk away with 8/14 win record in Razor’s first season and the irony is that Fozzie wasn’t even that bad. He won in SA, and came with in two points of lifting the WC - I think NZ public kinda disrespected him in that sense.
He had Richie mo. Sam whitelock and brodie. Different pool of players this. And that Victory in SA was to save fossie butt. Everything was just different. Infact i feel this team is way better.. And can become even better
Bok fan for ever here. The All Blacks are so talented and intense but something is just not clicking AT THE MOMENT..it will return. I think the problem is the AB "Bomb squad".. Rassie has changed the paradigm. The Bok Bomb squad are as important as the starting 15. They have role and they are picked for the impact they bring. Look at Kwagga for example. Leads in "Battle Stats". Super Rugby Pacifika was also a huge mistake. SA turned their backs on Super Rugby because of that and the effect is starting to tell.
To say that this a "building" All Blacks team really undermines the achievements of the likes of the Boks, Pumas, Ireland and France. While the All Blacks stagnated at the top, the other teams rose up to meet and beat them, and this is a hard pill to swallow. The All Blacks are a world class team on any day of the week, but they are no longer alone at the top, and this is great thing for the game of Rugby.
This is precisely what I came to the comments to say. The AB’s are a victim of their own high standards and success now. Every team has had to rise levels to try compete with them. And now in rugby there are 5 teams that could win against each other on any given day. All thanks to NZ
In 2017, the All Blacks hammered the Boks 57 to 0. In 2019, the Boks win the World Cup. Work hard and don't get discouraged. The All Blacks will be back.
This is the first time in a long time that I've felt confidence in what's coming and yes it's a certainty the All Black's are on their way to another great era and continuation of what has been layed before them
Exactly, we're not far off. pretty dam close actually - need experience in the last 15 with these younger guys. Bring Mounga and frizzel back, Savea to 6. Sititi, Ratima, Vai'i, Taylor, lineouts, scrum parity - all great! can't wait for Roigard too.
Gone are the days that the top teams like SA or ABs can have the type of winning streaks of the past. The top 4 to 5 teams can beat any team on their days. That’s reality & actually good for the game 😊
@@gigolicious Agree 100% with you. Boks also did not play with/lost these : Deon Fourie, Steven Kitshoff, Jean Kleyn, Franco Mostert, Trevor Nyakane, Marvin Orie, Duane Vermeulen, Faf de Klerk, André Esterhuizen, Manie Libbok, Makazole Mapimpi Damian Willemse. NZ Rebuilding??? What the hell is SA doing then. Boks to dominate next 4 years'
Sir John Kirwan is a realist. As a South African, I do not always like what he says, but he is often spot on. The All Blacks are building, and they are good! If DMac kicked two of the kicks he missed, you would have had the game in hand. South Africa will walk into the lion's den next time we play them, as will the Wallabies and the teams playing the All Blacks at the end of the year. Good luck, guys. You are still the team everyone wants to beat, and we are always honored to play you - win or lose.
As an Irish supporter, we have learned time and again and from bitter experience that you write off NZ at your peril. They are in a rebuilding stage at the moment. SA are in a great place and getting so used to winning (except against Ireland... 🙂). SA are playing great stuff and are really mixing it up. And playing in the URC, has not only lifted the competition to new heights, it gives the SA teams constant game time. It will be interesting to see in the November Internationals, how NZ react and how teams deal with SA. A bigger concern is the implosion of Australia, Joe Schmidt really has his work cut out. And yes, we, Ireland have never won a WC quarter final, but we never stop believing 🙂...it's the hope that kills us.
Ireland only ever realistically had a chance to beat the hoodoo in 2023, in 1991 whilst technically a chance, ireland were not a good side then or really ever till recently
I am South African and of course a Springbok supporter. Whilst I am delighted with the outcomes of the games, the All Blacks and their supporters must not lose heart. Their are always cycles and seasons. The ABs have lost a number of players to retirement. You have such incredible depth and no doubt you will be back with a bang. The Springboks will only ride the crest of the wave for a period of time. World Rugby needs a strong All Blacks team and you will be back with a bang. The All Blacks have been dominant for a very long time andalways a delight to watch.
All Blacks will be back much sooner than people think. They’re trying out some options and once they find the right combinations, watch out. From a SAf supporter who knows not to count out the winningest team in the history of all of sports.
South Africa trying things out to but still winning - we had a new 5,7,10,15 at ellispark last week - nz had almost 300 more caps ---------------------stop believing this rebuilding crap
Mils really led this show. Good input and thoughts, especially in calling attention to the dire state of our national competitions. It is time to call an SOS. The true impact of the lack of enthusiasm and competitiveness at the local level is only just starting to be felt, it's still another 5 years until it really smacks us in the face. Australia is in exact same position, they're just a few years down further down the road. We need major change, fast.
Can you just let us know Sir JK is ok? Please check in on him. Jeff….. don’t ever refer to the World Champions in “inverted commas” again. Pretty poor and disrespectful
Congratulation to both team the All Blacks and the Boks playing good game in both tests. This is the outcome of 2024 championships and appreciated what they have done. Every team want to win but not everyone will win the test and not every team win the World Cup. One team play well, and one team play better, and we all want to play better, and the All Black is not far to compete. The Boks is enjoying their moment now, like any other teams when they are climbing to their peak the others are declining. There's no need to finger points to players, or coaching staff, this is the starting point of a new team and the new coaching team, they need our positive support right through this journey toward the world cup. All the BEST TEAM ALL BLACKS.
I love Ireland, but I don't think we're better then the Abs tbh. I think we're close and probably on par with them a lot of the time. Its always an arm wrestle these days. I think Abs at their best probably pip Ireland at their best, which we saw at the Wc last year.
@@pmc83 The world cup isnt the be all and end all, Ireland under performed, it happens. Outside of that match Ireland have been consistently better by every other metric.
The New Zealand rugby team needs to stay positive. Just as the saying goes, "Rome was not built in a day," success in rugby-or any sport-requires time, patience, and persistence. The Springboks themselves are a great example of this. It took them several years of rebuilding, refining their game plan, and nurturing talent to get to the level they are at today, dominating world rugby. New Zealand has a proud rugby legacy, and while they may be facing challenges now, they have the talent and determination to bounce back. Setbacks are part of the journey, and learning from them is what will eventually lead them to success again. It's important that they trust the process and continue to develop as a team.
Biggest concern for NZ rugby is that the best competition they will get after this are the Aus teams in super rugby. What an insult to the 3 players who weren't brought on after they've chosen to stay in NZ to play for the ALL BLACKS. Those guys will be on the next plane to Europe.
Don't forget, the boks went through a building phase where they lost games they shouldn't have, but Rassie has always said that often you learn more from a lose than a win. More importantly, he has built incredible depth. SA rugby has never been in a better state.
One of the keys to SA success is the player depth they now have. Teams in the URC and other SA players are playing all over Europe. Coached well for sure, but player depth is key.
Player depth, as in lots of players or strong players?? What pisses me off about boks is they play to win by the skin of their ball sax. Watching Argentina fck the wallabies solid , NZ fck Argentina up return game, and SA letting Ireland drop goal their asses back into the caveman era sux.
@@SteveWarlee it seems to work in the RWC sadly so they won't move away from it. For all their talk of flashy backs they won't move that style of play for that very reason.
i was impressed with how easy the boyz picked open the bokkes rush defence. we didn't get the win but look how awesome our lads played. discipline again stuffed us but im happy with where razor and the boyz are so early in a new admin. I saw a sign in the audience said "how do you brai a kiwi, 40mins a side" i thought it was funny as ay 😆. bokkes are world champs, till '27 💪
cant agree - it looked like the bok defence was very solid and as they hit hard and fast the ABs couldnt string any clever backs moves and angles to open them up - i.e Jordan up and through. Surprised the panel didnt highlight the bok defence over these 2 tests or discuss ways ABs can get behind them effectively.
Relax everyone we are in a rebuilding stage so many players has retired so at this point we are trying to find combination and rebuild before the next world cup is not easy job for the new coaching staff to come in and look and trying to identify new talent in our country so we have plenty of time before that but for now we can lose a few games and build from there we still a strong rugby nation 💪🙌
WHAT ARE YOU REBUILDING NZ hat 300 more caps at ellispark ? Boks played with a new 5,7,10 and 15 ...... What are you rebuilding?? Is the boks also rebuilding then?
From a Bok supporter, the ABs are getting better! It's just a matter of time 😊 The lads need to gain their confidence back and take their emotions out of the game. Their supporters need to accept that there will be some losses until the squad binds together 🤷🏽♀️ Let Scott cook...
Let's be frank. Ireland did what the ABs couldn't. In that 2nd test a few weeks ago, Ireland took the lead, the Bok bench again came on and got the Boks back into the game and took the lead, and then Ireland used their bench to get back into the game to get two drop goals in the last few minutes and win the game at the death. The All Blacks can't do that. In the last 4 games, not a single point was scored in the last 20 minutes by the ABs.
All those Hansen-haters should look in the mirror and ponder whether they should have pushed for his axing in favour of Razor so vehemently. Seems he was able to do better with the ABs then Razor to date. I am sure Razor will turn it around but it just goes to show how tough it is at the highest level....
Well done Tasman Mako . This is what our game is all about. I watched my first Shield game in 79 when Auckland bet Counties in front of 50.000 supporters watching our school geography teacher Bob Lendrum.
Players not available for some reason or another, but may be returning soon: De Groot, Taukei’aho, Tuipolotu, Blackadder, Roigard, Clarke......put them on from your Replacement bench and there is your ‘bomb squad’ to finish the match.
Head Coach and Team Captain heads should get unstuck from that Crusaders Ponies behind. 3 points available, Ardie pointing to the sticks and Barrett pointing to the corner. This is not Super Rugby it's Test Rugby, and balls get cold in the last 20 minutes.
@@etienneholmes5556 he lost a world cup that should have been won considering SA were out on their feet in the final. But we had poor discipline throughout the tournament and had to play most of the final with 14 men. That goes back to the discipline standards set by the coach and that was Ian Foster. Poor.
@barneyboy2008 At least he did not break records in his first year as coach for all the wrong reasons. Please recall a time in your life when the all blacks did not score a SINGLE TRY in a game! Mate, if you do not see the red lights...
Springboks are the team to beat now. They are playing exceptional rugby and the depth that is coming is next level. Just imagine once we start playing our rugby at 90 percent, no one will be able to stop. This team is truly one of the best teams ever to play rugby.
Why aren’t we talking about the lack of depth in the first five position? We don’t have anyone to push towards the next World Cup. Mackenzie is a great impact player, Beudy will be too old in 4 years time…
@@ryanking8960 That right there is the difference between SA and NZ at the moment. You are suggesting players who could be great and we are suggesting that we no longer need Pollard. SFM was not great at the weekend after taking a bit of a knock to the leg, but the kid has a future; then you look at Manie Libbok (would most likely need an alternate goal kicker), Jordan Hendrikse, Siya Masuku and Sanele Nohamba - all could step into this side by the end of the year. And we have that kind of depth in every single position. Case in point, Ruan Nortje is our 6th best lock with 4 caps to his name and Elrigh Louw is not even the preferred 8th man at the Bulls. To beat the AB's twice in two weeks with the list of injuries we have is insane.
Which Overseas Players are currently available, physically able & wanting to play for the ABs? Do those Overseas Players have Contracts that would allow them to play in the June Internationals, the Rugby Championship & the NH/EOY Autumn Internationals? Would those Players be paid as much or even offered a Contract if they demanded to be allowed to continue playing for the ABs? I doubt it & given that the Top14 & Pro D2 have already started & the URC & Gallagher Premiership are about to start, those players would have missed all of the NH Cubs Pre-Season Training as well. The NH Clubs wouldn't sign up to it. Until the Six Nations & the Rugby Championship are in the same 'IRB Window' then things just won't work. Even then the English Clubs allow the England Players for adhoc Camps every now & again through-out the season & release the English Players to the RFU 2-3 weeks before any 'IRB Window' whereas any non English Player playing for an English Club are only allowed to be absent from their English Club, not a second before, not a second after, outside the official IRB Window. Any AB travelling back from the NH would then effectively be out of action for about 2 weeks of any AB Camp to account for the travel & Jet Lag only being allowed to travel at the start of the IRB Window & having to be back at the Club the day after the IRB Window shuts. It just wouldn't work. Seeing as so many Argentinians now ply their trade in the NH, Argentina regularly hold Camps in the NH so that the vast majority of their squad don't get Jet Lag & to appease the NH Clubs. Would/could the ABs do that? Given that negotiations/circumstances allowed Sam Cane to reappear for the ABs was a surprise but that may have been more to do with Sam's Recovery treatment & period. Would Frizell & Mounga be allowed to play for the ABs? Dunno. Would you then mind if every AB qualified player plied their trade overseas to the detriment of SR, NPC, Heartland & Grassroots Rugby? Where is the line? Should there be a line? Would an AB being trained in a NH Club, particularly a Scottish, English, Irish or Welsh Club, for however long then immediately be able to transition into the AB way/standards of playing? Being harsh & facing reality with so many NZ born, raised & coached players having already migrated of their own accord to ply their trade overseas when they could see no future in staying in NZ but to then qualify/play for the respective Country due to Heritage or Residency grounds, it could get to the point where every NZ School Kid sends their CV to Clubs around the world looking for an opportunity & best offer. It's beyond my Pay Grade how to prevent that other than to put more money into Grass Roots Rugby to keep them all in NZ. It's a bit of a 'Dog chasing their Tail' discussion but for me, NZ needs to keep players in NZ.
Two test matches of extreme intensity showing that to win at the highest level you have to play 23-man rugby. Something the Bokke have been doing for the past 6 years already. Your bench strength has to match the capability of the starting team and you have to use them early in the 2nd half to maintain that intensity otherwise you lose momentum and ultimately the game. Something that played out in both test matches. The NZ international player policy and not playing SA teams in Super Rugby have been the biggest hurdles to producing bench strength to beat a team like the Boks.
The crowds in SA were spoilt this year. Some absolute classics against Ireland and NZ. Four in a row yes, but none of these in NZ. I'm already looking forward to next year's TRC return games in the ABs backyard.
Two good matches as an AB supporter hard to take....fact is this and has been a VERY good Bok side and they are ahead of us.....period !! Anyway, we have the players, coaches and mindset to build and strengthen. Sometimes loosing hurts so much it does good.
Cane, Perenara are retiring after the TRC, so there's no point even discussing them. They won't even be in the team come the Autumn Tour, they'll be playing club rugby in Japan.
Great respect to springboks.they have built really well and they have one of the most experienced players. Love All Blacks they really played well. We need to win tests against Australia. We will back again. Great ❤ go All Blacks. ❤
Razor is finding out very quickly test match rugby is quite a few levels up from super rugby. Its no longer comparable anymore. He will need to adjust his tactics moving forward
I like what Mils said about knowing our own best team and playing it, rather than reacting to opposition selection and performance. I also feel we haven’t had the on-field leader. This last test, no one defending the line. They just went around the scrum and scored. Usually we see a halfback telling the pack what to do. I think the post-match conferences are very dull with captain and coach appearing apologetic and flat. Keep on going! It’s always a great team and wonderful players. This is the foundation and I’m sure, it can be built on. But we must claim the energy and the power of who were are, now. In the now.not emotional so much. Objective. Clear. Less soppy. Haha Regarding moving fwd and putting psychological stuff behind, I think it’s that there’s a lot of emotion being fed. It needs to be emptied out
NZR should do everything in their power to get Richie Mo back and keep Sam Cane. Our backline is shoddy and is not repaying the endless faith placed in them. I believe it's our main problem and has been demonstrated consistently through poor tactics, decision-making, kicking game and most importantly selections. Razor needs to drop Tele'a and Reece and bring back Narawa as well as either Tavatavanawai or Kini Naholo. Although a world-class wing, Rieko is not a quality centre and is averse to risk, a bad quality that plagues the entire backline. We need to invest in players that are daring, creative and aren't afraid to move the ball - the likes of Proctor and Narawa come to mind. Will Jordan is also best utilised on the wing and should always start alongside Clarke. I hope they'll give Ruben love a crack at starting at fullback in at least one of these next two tests. Beauden, if coming off the bench, could always cover for Love if things were to go south. Halfbacks are easy - TJ to be dropped soon for Roigard and Ratima/Hotham retained. Lastly, DMac should be put on notice. Even as a staunch Chiefs supporter ive never warmed to the idea of him as the ABs 10. He should be the worlds best bench player instead. So give Plummer a chance and again, NZR needs to do everything it can to get Mo'unga back in NZ. In contrast, our pack is largely performing well, evidenced by strong showings against the staunchest acid test in the Boks so not much to say other than the odd selection debate. I'm confident we are most of the way their in that regard. However would love to see Tosi and Sititi play these next two tests. I would throw a spanner in the works too and even ponder the idea of trialing Sititi as our starting no. 8, with Ardie coming off the bench.... the Boks have Malcolm Marx on their bench and he is arguably the world's best hooker. Would also go some way to maximise our bench impact. The recent performances of both Darry and Va'ai have also made me think of the posibility of being able to play Scott Barrett back at 6. I now have confidence in a locking trio of Darry, Tuipolotu and Va'ai to do the job with Josh Lord also being a lesser but servicable bench option.
As a neutral fan who loves the way the All Blacks play, I understand the team is going through a transitional phase. However, there are some glaring issues that haven’t been properly addressed since 2019. The main concern for me is player selection. The All Blacks seem to prioritize playmakers across the field, but what good are playmakers without first securing possession? The team struggles with crucial fundamentals like catching high balls from kickoffs, handling kicks from open play, and executing kick chases. How often do we see the All Blacks score, only to immediately be under pressure on their own line from the next kickoff? Robertson needs to prioritize players who can secure the ball, so the All Blacks stop relying on scraps of possession. Another weakness is leadership. In the World Cup final, the team needed just 3 points to win-any 3 points. Most top-level teams in that situation, down by a point and with good field position, would have gone for a drop goal. Similarly, in the test at Ellis Park, the All Blacks had a penalty in a very kickable spot, but opted for a lineout they ended up losing. Had they taken the 3 points, it likely would have sealed the game. Here’s the team I’d propose for the next match, with a view towards developing for the World Cup: Ethan de Groot Codie Taylor Tyrel Lomax Josh Lord Sam Darry Scott Barrett Ardie Savea Hoskins Sotutu Cortez Ratima Harry Plummer Caleb Clarke Jordie Barrett Billy Proctor Rieko Ioane Zarn Sullivan Asafo Aumua Tamaiti Williams Fletcher Newell Tupou Vaai Wallace Sititi Nick Hotham Will Jordan Beauden Barrett The key is to secure possession first-everything else will follow from that foundation.
Now SA have largely sorted out their political issues and their rugby structure, it's hard to see an AB situation of the past arising, especially with the amount of new raw talent they have coming through?
@@stuartdouglas8597 really. I still see team selections being driven by politics. That's why their best players are in the bomb squad. Kitsoff and Marx are better than their black counterparts, but only get 40 minutes.
How uncomfortable are these guys having to actually praise the Springboks? Really epitomizes how brutally arrogant the New Zealand rugby punditry really is. They're hartseer over the realization that the Boks are the definitive rugby side at the moment.
The hardest thing for them to accept is that we are also in a building phase at the moment and that we are diversifying our gameplan. The Boks are a very experienced side, but they are nowhere near they best. That will only come once we have settled in our new gamplan in two or three years.
@@Bennusan1 true, we're down 6 or 7 regulars and blooding several new guys. The culture within the team is second to none. We're going to have a fantastic mix of experienced youth and older players when 2027 comes around and we're winning while we prepare for it.
A lot of revisionism going on with Moung'a...He's as inconsistent if not worse than Dmac when kicking for goal and game management...Aaron Smith is ofcourse WORLD CLASS and LEGENDARY
It's unfourtunately a two sided debate where, if you let international players be eligible such as Mounga and Smith, super rugby would die, but if you did allow international players into the squad, the all blacks would thrive. New Zealand rugby thrives off grassroots and rugby within New Zealand, such a hard decision. I'd love to see Mounga back
They ABs are lacking attrition. This can only be attained through sustained exposure to high pressure test matches. This takes time. Take note: This is a PEAK Boks team and the ABs are clearly in the bottom of a rebuild...... and we are still very close to them.
SAFFA here: NZ should not panic, just believe in your boys. Easier said than done and the problem is NZ fans have become used to winning but unfortunately NZ are going to be victims of some very strange records, allow your team to build and recognise that you will lose fans. in 2019 no sane Sa would have believed you if you said Springboks will win the WC. Let the negative fans who want to go, go and focus on building with those who remain, our World Cup came 18 months after our lowest, low and have since gone back to back. You guys are not far off, you just need to manage expectations
Bro this is so true, we've had the pyramid scheme of pakeha at the top for so long that it's making me disheartened. Emagine how the players feel. Richie m was the greatest however the last two really have been average. I hate talking about this bs it's so unnecessary but the franchise doesn't love what the country needs , the boks understands the land they live in
Still a solid growth of performance with more younger players, many positives! Good work / effort, good behavior and good belief all have to be there to have presence under pressure and good luck to have the greatest chances of winning. AB's needs to work more on the belief!
Sir JK, my bullshit detector was on during your video segment and the detector alarm was going off non-stop. Please get back into studio we want to see you live..........and cringing....huge respect to the AB's, it was an honor to see you live, thank you.
@@Kevin-lf4xx I'm a Bok fan and I will always fear the All Blacks. Let me tell you why. When Jean de Villiers earned his 100th Springbok cap, it was against the All Blacks. The All Blacks honored JDV with a special ceremony and they even bought him a gift. I remember thinking at the time, "If these New Zealanders care so much about the Springboks and a Springbok player, how much more do the Kiwis care about rugby and their own team?" Only the Kiwis care as much about rugby as we South Africans. That's why the All Blacks will always be a team to be respected and feared. I know how serious we are about rugby and only New Zealanders can match our fanaticism.
I honestly think NZ need to let their players play anywhere. Unfortunately Super Rugby is not the best competition anymore. The players will learn a lot and bring it home. Or at least do a deal with the Japanese clubs or even get some of the south african teams involved like the cheetahs.
The old style tours which used to have midweek matches to blood new players are missed. Now you have to throw in rookies into high pressure situations to test their mettle. Robertson has been conservative in his selections and he probably now has a good idea about the strengths and weeknesses of Fozzie's generation. There is younger talent screaming to be selected and he should be brave and try out some of the new crop coming through. Big players with size and speed abound in the NPC! .
Ive heard your thoughts re the Fiji game. I haven't watched it. My inference is that AB's played with their DNA, and crushed Fiji. The DNA. Why should a team be scared of losing games after a RWC year? In my responses yesterday on social media(SM), I mentioned Rassie's fearlessness of throwing caution to the wind, knowing he HAVE to get new guys building up on experience and pressure situations, even if it means losing. He has done it since taking over. And look at it now. The players are doing things that under different circumstances they probably would've found difficulty in wanting to indeed do it. That's the spirit Rassie and co brought to their team. So they have that belief. On the other hand Razor received the pressure of Must Win😢😢 from Fossie. Imo Fossie also received a team from Shag. Did the problem start when the professor retired? Since from there things went awry? Razor inherited a bigger problem. A bunch of core players left, and was forced to build, which, imo, he's doing well. I think he should open up to the public that he's re-inventing the DNA of All Blacks rugby, and folks need to trust the process. The other problem I think is leadership. I thought Scott Barret to be a good choice, but I have 2nd thoughts. But I'm not bothered...we're ending off well this year.
I see the difference between the AB’s now and in the past, we had a 10 that was absolutely world class, always driving the play!!! But I see time after time sub standard decisions costing the team games. Can you imagine DC with two minutes to go after losing 16 of 17 contestable kick in a game then putting the ball up in the air and guess what losing the ball and the game. I am not knocking McKenzie he is a great super rugby player. I don’t see anyone talking about him being world rugby player of the year. We produce some of the best rugby players in the world, that get payed to play in another country. We are endanger of becoming like Tonga, Fiji & Samoa and being a feeder country for other teams. I am a one eyed Crusader supporter but I am not seeing ANY innovation from the couching team. 🖤
The AB's are a very strong team and played well with really good tactics. Only problem is they dont have a 23 man squad which is why they fade away at the end.
Ive said it b4 and I'll say it again, in the past, the AB's seamlessly transition with new players. Not so now. However, the margins are fine and the adjustments are very fixable! The AB's are at their best when they play heads up 15 man rugby. When your wingers are scoring tries, you're a hard team to beat. Cohesiveness in the last 15 minutes needs to button up.
The elephant in the room is the URC. South Africa leaving Super Rugby has been great for both Ireland/Scotland/Wales and for SA. NZ needs to get out of Super Rugby. Australian Rugby is completely collapsing.
I think a major issue for the AB's has been SA leaving Super Rugby. The young guys aren't facing tough opposition on a regular basis and difficult tours to SA. Having that experience of playing a physical Bulls team at Loftus etc. That being said, us Bok supporters have the utmost respect for the Black jersey and will always be uneasy before a test. Long may it continue. Agree that the AB's are lacking balance in combinations like the loose forwards and midfield.
Lots of talk about the All Blacks not scoring in the last 20 minutes of the match, but what I remember most about the dominant AB teams from the 2010's is that they were always the most deadly in the 20 minutes either side of half way - they would shred times going in and just coming out of the break. Wonder whatever happened to that?
I reckon soon we will have 5-7 marquee/top players (after spending time in NPC and Super) that can get contracts in the Northern comp, URC etc. who get selected from overseas. that way we have a strong core of the past and younger folks around them.
SIR KKERWIN taking leave after that lost 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no show humble pie... Bro just respect other teams thats all... ABs is just having a tough time now.. They will bounce back for sure.. Argentina is also getting better and better each year.. Big Springbok fan here🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
1) If Dmac kicked the penalty in front then the Blacks close out the game and the whole conversation changes. 2) The team selection is 100% Razor going forward. No risk just recogising future talent. Hes re-building the ABs and he has a visionary plan.
Guys, ABs are still a good team, and we Boks are enjoying our time in the sun. I'm sure the ABs are going to be back stronger next year. But, JK, I'm going to rewatch this when I'm having a bad day. Thanks :-)
Apologize for the sermon ... but here's another idea ... why not negotiate with SARU that NZ sends two composite schoolboy teams to Craven Week? Give Rassie a call!
Because we don't want them here. For all the years of SR where we were the underdogs, feeding but being dictated to by the Aus/NZ coalition, we were giving them teams to hone their skills against. They argue that we rarely won anything throughout the competition but that too is rubbish, given that no team from Australia or the Islands stands any realistic chance of winning a title now. Why would we want to go back to being the providers or sparring partners for them to hone their skills against?
Listening to this I think the commentators miss how good the Springboks really are. This is no ordinary team. It is not that the AB are bad, they are really really good. It is just this specific Springbok team is a once in a generation team. Not sure we will see its like again.
Fk no, so he can kick 80% of the game! He shouldn't even be an ABs, what did he do currently to be an AB. Dual 10s is the reason we're losing! Players out of position. Beauden and Jordie kick the life out of the ball along with the half back and Dmac
@@michaelkissling8432 As a Bok Fan I'm happy if you play DMAc at 10 -= whats that now 1/4 wins in RC with exciting DMAc on 10 ......how many tries saturday......0 . you will always beat aus with him at 10 but come big time teams you won't (BIG time like ARg at home)
As a S African I have watched these two sides fight it out since 1981 and SA being on top for 1 year means nothing. I’ve always predicted the outcome on the following assumptions. NZ were always 35% better but home team always had a 30% advantage. I don’t think much has changed, NZ might have dropped slightly but all 4 NZ/SA loses have been NZ away games (2 amongst all sorts of coaching drama) and everyone loses to Argentina occasionally so it so that one doesn’t count. In two years time NZ will be back on top and this will all be forgotten.
The Springboks were the leaders in World Rugby, sanctions intervened, which derailed us. Stop elevating the AB to immortal beings. The Boks will close the winning difference believe me.
So Foster was under pressure to win (at all costs). Thus, he neglected viable replacements for those two world-class locks. The new locks should have been close to settled by now.
We need a proper change of guard in the backline like we had in the frontrow going into the last world cup. Oldies like TJ and Lienert Brown have had their time and we thank them for their service but it is time to give some young talent the opportunities to prove themselves. That decision will determine if Razor will be successful or not.
The only rationale I can fathom for continuing to pick Sam Cane at 7 is some kind of mind game the coaches are playing with NZR to convince them to allow offshore selection.
He won in SA, and came with in two points of lifting the WC - I think NZ public kinda disrespected him in that sense.
good points! A deeper level of mental development is required because they're doing all the physical stuff and skills on par with other teams.

Great comment and insight my guy!
@@DAN19L85Not really. The ab's don't getaway with bending the rules since TMO's are more involved. They were never lightyears ahead of the pack.
Truth is after the autumn internationals it’s likely the ABs will be 5th in the world rankings and this wouldn’t be out of place for this team 😅
So aren't the all blacks ever allowed to go through a rebuilding phase?
They are literally rebuilding though. The other teams you mentioned have all gone through that phase as well to get where they are now.
In 2017, the All Blacks hammered the Boks 57 to 0. In 2019, the Boks win the World Cup. Work hard and don't get discouraged. The All Blacks will be back.

Gone are the days that the top teams like SA or ABs can have the type of winning streaks of the past. The top 4 to 5 teams can beat any team on their days. That’s reality & actually good for the game 😊

Hold on we missed a kick as well. That’s like saying if they had scored more tries they would have won…
Even if lynagh didnt score that try in 1991, and ireland won 18-15, we still were historically a crap team
Cullen = GOAT. From 🇿🇦
Ugh.
💯!!!
Well yes only after 1995. Till then they were behind SA. We had to rearrange up our forest folk for 25 years.

7:53 "Are Ireland better than us?" Nicely dodged question Mils!
@pmc83 take Barns out of that game and its Irelands

Yep. That's what a pregnant pause looks like. Boks 4-1 in last five games over NZ. Ireland 4-1 in last five games over the Boks.
Class shown by everyone on the show regarding the Springbok victory. Respect. Thank you.
So no change from the past really.
Player depth, as in lots of players or strong players??
What pisses me off about boks is they play to win by the skin of their ball sax. Watching Argentina fck the wallabies solid , NZ fck Argentina up return game, and SA letting Ireland drop goal their asses back into the caveman era sux.

Ireland got lucky....last second drop goal....I wouldn't read to much into that performance
Allblacks problem is they're not playing quality opposition regularly...playing weaker teams benefits weaker teams

Springboks are the team to beat now. They are playing exceptional rugby and the depth that is coming is next level. Just imagine once we start playing our rugby at 90 percent, no one will be able to stop. This team is truly one of the best teams ever to play rugby.
All Blacks were at like 40% of their true potential and both games could've gone either way.
I don't see any more depth than you had in the past. It's the old players winning the games for you.
Why aren’t we talking about the lack of depth in the first five position? We don’t have anyone to push towards the next World Cup. Mackenzie is a great impact player, Beudy will be too old in 4 years time…
That Kid from Taranaki will be a beast after a couple od super seasons. Think h8s name is Josh Jacom.
We need to get over not picking player's, playing overseas. We are struggling, when we don't need to be leaving out overseas player's.
Agreed, we already have one of the smallest pools of players to pick from why restrict the pool even more and make it worse.
Rassie won his first world cup by recalling all his over seas players. And he reaped the rewards.
No no no. You stick to that out dated rule of yours please. We will take full advantage of our new ones. Hehehe. Lekker lag Ek nou.
Only really missing Mo'unga to be honest. I think we're fine but the public just need to be patient.
Ardie off the bench sounds insane but could be a good thing to experiment with. Blackadder, Cane and Sititi to start.
@@granitesoldier7704 how about Ardie instead of cane.

Objective. Clear. Less soppy. Haha
Regarding moving fwd and putting psychological stuff behind, I think it’s that there’s a lot of emotion being fed.
Thank you (Jeff), 🎉
Well said
It was funny the guy saying get raygun (razor) out here to breakdown and explain this mess.
Here’s the team I’d propose for the next match, with a view towards developing for the World Cup:
Ethan de Groot
Codie Taylor
Tyrel Lomax
Josh Lord
Sam Darry
Scott Barrett
Ardie Savea
Hoskins Sotutu
Cortez Ratima
Harry Plummer
Caleb Clarke
Jordie Barrett
Billy Proctor
Rieko Ioane
Zarn Sullivan
Asafo Aumua
Tamaiti Williams
Fletcher Newell
Tupou Vaai
Wallace Sititi
Nick Hotham
Will Jordan
Beauden Barrett
The key is to secure possession first-everything else will follow from that foundation.
I missed this great period 10-19 so this team is doing as well as my favorite teams
I see Razor and Rassie being potentially one of the great coach battles going forward...well, even right now. Both great coaches.
Super 12 rugby yonks ago was the most fun and best rugby competition ever. To break it up was a huge mistake.
@23:19, talking about how good Ratima is while showing a clip of a dangerous high tackle on Kolbe.
Razor with the way he’s managing this AB team, is like a bull running through a fine china shop. Chaotic.
No he has to rebuild many of the longterm dominant Allblacks have retired or gone overseas.
We need to bring in overseas based player's.
You guys were harsh on Fozzie. !!
He's getting there and it will come. Soon. Watch this space.

@@sdv917 chip, much.
The hardest thing for them to accept is that we are also in a building phase at the moment and that we are diversifying our gameplan. The Boks are a very experienced side, but they are nowhere near they best. That will only come once we have settled in our new gamplan in two or three years.
@@barneyboy2008 Compated to the average entitled AB fan? Hardly...

A lot of revisionism going on with Moung'a...He's as inconsistent if not worse than Dmac when kicking for goal and game management...Aaron Smith is ofcourse WORLD CLASS and LEGENDARY
@@brianwahinya1245 Moung'a far better than Dmac, hes stronger, more pace, and better ball skills
@@klaus1292that’s funny
It's unfourtunately a two sided debate where, if you let international players be eligible such as Mounga and Smith, super rugby would die, but if you did allow international players into the squad, the all blacks would thrive. New Zealand rugby thrives off grassroots and rugby within New Zealand, such a hard decision. I'd love to see Mounga back
Lol. The best being?
We need ardie at 7, wallace 8. Scott needs to step down as captain.
Bro this is so true, we've had the pyramid scheme of pakeha at the top for so long that it's making me disheartened. Emagine how the players feel. Richie m was the greatest however the last two really have been average.
I hate talking about this bs it's so unnecessary but the franchise doesn't love what the country needs
, the boks understands the land they live in
Still a solid growth of performance with more younger players, many positives!
NZ are no longer a team to be feared. The aura is well and truly gone .
Quite evident.
People say that every time we lose
Chill out lil chicken
well the greatest Bok era ever and they struggle to put us away - I pick ABs to be better than Boks by '26
@@Kevin-lf4xx I'm a Bok fan and I will always fear the All Blacks. Let me tell you why. When Jean de Villiers earned his 100th Springbok cap, it was against the All Blacks. The All Blacks honored JDV with a special ceremony and they even bought him a gift. I remember thinking at the time, "If these New Zealanders care so much about the Springboks and a Springbok player, how much more do the Kiwis care about rugby and their own team?"
Only the Kiwis care as much about rugby as we South Africans. That's why the All Blacks will always be a team to be respected and feared. I know how serious we are about rugby and only New Zealanders can match our fanaticism.
Rieko at wing. Jordan at 15. Beauden at 10. Ardie at 7. Sititi at 8. I’m really confused by the AB team selection since Foster took over
I honestly think NZ need to let their players play anywhere. Unfortunately Super Rugby is not the best competition anymore. The players will learn a lot and bring it home. Or at least do a deal with the Japanese clubs or even get some of the south african teams involved like the cheetahs.
Wise.
''They were better than us for 80 mins '' No Jeff , for 4 tests in a row.
They weren’t better in the World Cup final……..the ABs were robbed.
Rassie is smart, Tony Brown is smart, Jerry, And all his coaching staff is getting better, come 2027, coach Tony is from NZ, ...
Big players with size and speed abound in the NPC! .
Excellent content
Early in the game we had good momentum inside their 22, Why did we settle for 3pts?
The elephant in the room is the URC. South Africa leaving Super Rugby has been great for both Ireland/Scotland/Wales and for SA. NZ needs to get out of Super Rugby. Australian Rugby is completely collapsing.
Weird that no one really addressed that in this episode
I think a major issue for the AB's has been SA leaving Super Rugby. The young guys aren't facing tough opposition on a regular basis and difficult tours to SA. Having that experience of playing a physical Bulls team at Loftus etc. That being said, us Bok supporters have the utmost respect for the Black jersey and will always be uneasy before a test. Long may it continue.
Agree that the AB's are lacking balance in combinations like the loose forwards and midfield.
How many of the AB’s coaching group have extensive international coaching experience?
Lots of talk about the All Blacks not scoring in the last 20 minutes of the match, but what I remember most about the dominant AB teams from the 2010's is that they were always the most deadly in the 20 minutes either side of half way - they would shred times going in and just coming out of the break. Wonder whatever happened to that?
I reckon soon we will have 5-7 marquee/top players (after spending time in NPC and Super) that can get contracts in the Northern comp, URC etc. who get selected from overseas. that way we have a strong core of the past and younger folks around them.
AB need a Test 23 not a Test 15. - multi position talent!
Better competitions that test the individuals -
SIR KKERWIN taking leave after that lost 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 no show humble pie... Bro just respect other teams thats all... ABs is just having a tough time now.. They will bounce back for sure.. Argentina is also getting better and better each year..

It’s all about scores on the board, if they not there the team failed. They can analyse the game until the cows come home, there’s no point.

The 2 tests are done, the rivalry continues... Go Bokke!!!
