I like to think his "Thank you" at the end is letting him still be some kind of part of the band as a double entendre to letting the character live.

On a side note, I can't get enough of listening to the Jinjer live in Melbourne concert, especially Retrospection. Every time I listen to a song from that concert I think of you and how you missed it because you hadn't discovered Jinjer yet. Not to open an old wound because I know you hate that you missed it, but boy is it good!
