Thank you both for another lovely video to enjoy! I loved it when your mum brought out Lavender’s Blue - it’s one of my favourite nursery rhyme collections because of the beautiful illustrations, although I only came across it as a grown up (and couldn’t resist it!). Nursery rhymes were such a big part of my young childhood, we had Janet and Anne Grahame Johnstone’s collections which have gorgeous pictures, and Richard Scarry’s Mother Goose. I also have The World of Thrush Green, another favourite. I visited Haworth long ago and I remember it was the gloomiest day with torrential rain, but it really added to the moody atmosphere! The Swiss roll looks delicious and Donna made it look so easy to roll! I must try making it soon!
I’m so happy to see you and Donna back Miranda🙌🏽😊. You were well missed. I’m glad you recovered from the vaccine reaction. It’s unfortunate you had to suffer so for protection against this horrid COVID 😶. That Swiss roll cake looks delish. I may try it with chocolate filling for my hubby!😋 Looking forward to your future vlogs😊😊
I'm happy to see Miranda feeling better and Donna joining in for a tea read. I'm also glad that you are modifying the summer program so you don't have to work quite so hard. We all have to take care of ourselves, putting our health as a priority. The Swiss Roll looks delicious, and I enjoyed the discussion of books and authors. Hope you both are able to enjoy the warm weather. Welcome back!
It was lovely to have you both back. For me, Haworth was amazing and so heartrending in equal measure and I am very much looking forward to visiting again albeit vicariously. Fingers crossed for you indeed!
You will enjoy the Bronte Museum and feel very close to the family as you walk round. I hope you get the full experience - I've been myself 3 times over the years and have never tired of going there. Into the Tangled Bank has been added to my wish list - and thank you for doing the little insert when you flick through the pages of a book. Such a great idea.
Delighted to see you both back baking up a treat. Watching this video with my lunch is such a beautiful start to the weekend. I'm so happy to see you are feeling better, you got an awful dose poor thing. Enjoy the cake and have a great weekend. ❤️❤️
I just have to add my comment to say how happy I am that you're both back doing the videos....totally delightful! The Jane Eyre book looks like something I may need:).
welcome back, girls, so nice to have you here again! I can't wait for those new vlogs out and about :)) Thank you for adding those cut away (is that what they're called?) images of the books so we can see have a closer look. xx
It's so wonderful to see you both again. Fridays just haven't been the same. This was lovely, and I'm looking forward to hearing all about your Bronte excursion.
I hope you get to Haworth! The Bronte Pasonage is a favorite place of mine. If I am visiting family in Yorkshire, I HAVE to go to the parsonage. I have to soak up the spirit of the Bronte sisters. The Swiss roll looks delicious. I just made a Raspberry roll recently but cherry is my favorite so now you have inspired me to make one with cherry jam. Have a happy weekend!
Hello from the States in North Carolina! I’ve missed you both so much, and am happy to see you baking and sharing books together again! I would love to come along with you as you visit the Bronté museum. Fingers crossed that all goes as planned and you can share with us. Please continue to rest and care for yourself as much as you need Miranda❤️❤️
Lovely video, thanks for the chat! I am looking forward to your Howarth trip, as I am originally from a town not far from there and visited Howarth several times. If it does happen to rain it’s even better! It rained a lot in the books didn’t it. I read Wuthering Heights years ago. Such a moody , gloomy book! That was part of the appeal so the weather has to be rotten too to soak up the atmosphere 😁 If you walk from the bottom of the street up to the top and the same way going back, be careful, some of it is cobblestone and it’s pretty steep. There’s some wonderful, quirky little shops on the way which I’m sure you’ll enjoy. I look forward to seeing your vlog!
Thank you! It does add to the atmosphere, but makes it much harder to film outdoors!! Happily, we'll be able to go back many times so I'm very pleased about that 😊 xxx
I’m so pleased to see you both! The cake looks delicious and absolutely perfect💕whatever you decide to film will be very welcome. I could listen to both of you talk about anything and everything and going on trips with you would be delightful. Donna, I love your new hairstyle. Miranda, I’m so glad you’re feeling better. I was so happy when I saw this video tonight when I got home from work. You two put a smile on my face. Have a lovely weekend❤️❤️
Wonderful to see you both back; thank you for continuing with Tea Reads; it is so wholesome, as well as interesting and often educational too! I have been to the Bronte Museum several times, before my children were born, and it is very poignant and absolutely fascinating! I know you will both love it. So glad you are well again Miranda x
Welcome back, Miranda and Donna. I’m delighted that you’ll be covering more books you’ve been reading for tea reads, when you do it. And also delighted with my Swiss roll made this morning!
So Nice to see you both again. Your mom made that Swiss roll look so easy. Thank you for the recommendations and those tulips are so beautiful and the match the ones on your wall paper too. Happy gardening!
Donna your shorter hair really suits you! I'm so sorry you were so unwell after your vaccine, Miranda. I noticed you were taking a break but didn't realise it was due to illness. Very glad to see you looking so well now xx
Thank you for inserting videos showing us the books, as always a wonderful video. Statues in the garden I read it years ago and I really liked it. I'm looking forward to filming in Haworth Miranda, I've been there twice and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience, it was very special for me, enjoy it!
Loved this episode and so happy to see you back cooking and sharing your reads. I shall make the swiss roll. I have made your other bakes and my family have loved the treats and books too. Happy to see you back and in whatever format keeps you well.
The Swiss Roll looks beautiful! I read Thrush Green, for the first time, over the first May bank holiday and so enjoyed it. I have to thank both of you for recommending Miss Read. Your new plans for videos coming up sound great, will look forward to them, as always.
It’s wonderful to have you both back. I’m truly sorry Miranda to hear you had a terrible reaction to the vaccine, but glad you’re feeling a lot better. As always, I enjoyed your vlog (and your ‘Springs Books’ vlog too, posted a few days ago) 🌷
So pleased to see you both back, in whatever format. My 2 year old niece has a birthday shortly and I wasn't sure what to buy her. Now I know, a book of traditional Nursery rhymes.
Yesss!!!! and Yesss!!!! You Both are Beautiful 🥰🥰💕.... Donna makes that Swiss Roll look very easy but hmm!!! I bet I could mess it up 🤷🏾♀️(It looks delicious so I might at least try)...Miranda I hope you take us back to “THE STRIPEY BADGER BOOKSHOP” I’ve watched that particular vlog LOTS OF time the Tea Spread was Gorgeous 💕 “The Bronte Museum” sounds amazing, I googled it and m excited for that Vlog😊..they have to let you film it tell them Kiki in the US said that’s the only way she can see it 😂🥰
Haha, thanks so much, Kiki! I'd definitely love to go back to the Stripey Badger sometime soon, and there are quite a few other bookshops around that I can't wait to visit as well!! Very much hoping for some sunshine! Hope you have a lovely weekend xxx
I'm so happy to see you both again. I will watch anything you post. The cake roll looked yummy. I enjoy seeing all your book choices. Makes my day better. My very best wishes to you both. 💕📚🤗
Just lovely to see you back to health and enjoying tea reads with your wonderful mum. I went to Haworth about 2 years ago and I’m really itching to get back there and explore some more. I think we were allowed to take pictures back then but no flash photography if I remember correctly. Enjoy! Xx
So glad to have you both back!!! Donna you look so sophisticated with your hair in that style. Thank you so much Miranda for your wonderful, relaxing videos. Very much appreciated and I'm glad you are feeling better xx ( You're really not good for my bank balance though as I couldn't resist the beautiful Jane Eyre book and just ordered from Blackwell's)
Great video-- you both seem in good trim! The World of Thrush Green is such a delightful book. I would buy it for the illustrations alone! The world needs more Miss Read these days, don't you think?
Happy you are both well and back and my mouth is drooling over the cake. Made myself a cup of tea but was too tired from housecleaning to make Swiss roll but maybe tomorrow ❤️
Welcome back Lovely’s ! I really missed you both. Swiss roll looks amazing! I love your beautiful copy of Jane Eyre, it’s so beautiful! I will have start reading the Bronte books again.... I was really miffed with the Brontes after saying that Jane Austen wasn’t a great writer...Put me right off that one!!! 🤣😂🤣
It’s great to see you both! The Swiss roll looked wonderful. Whenever I’ve attempted making them, they’ve always cracked, although tasted good😀. As always, great book selections. Have a lovely weekend!
Good to see you both back! If you have time, when you go to Haworth, try to pop along to Thornton-only a few miles away-as the Bronte birthplace is here and is now a cafe. You can also go into the church where they were baptised.
Haworth is amazing. If you can, I’d really recommend staying overnight- the atmosphere is fantastic when the village empties. If not on this visit, maybe next time?
So happy to see you both back again! Hi Donna! The swiss roll looked delicious and I wanted to come and take a bite out of yours :D It's very funny because I just got this beautiful edition of Jane Eyre for Mother's Day from my son! I have the two Jane Austen editions in this series, too. They're gorgeous. Also, Thrush Green is my favorite book series, even though I love everything by Miss Read. I just posted a video sharing my Miss Read Fairacre collection, if you were interested in taking a peek: ua-cam.com/video/kBKhefD8Mcs/v-deo.html (working on sharing my other Miss Read books in another video, too). The Lavender's Blue book really interested me and I can't wait to get a copy. I'm loving children's poetry at the moment. So cheerful and fun. Have a wonderful rest of the weekend and can't wait to see more videos. Good luck on your garden, Miranda! I just started a wildflower garden and I'm crossing my fingers that everything sprouts for me. Many hugs! xoxo :D
So happy to see you both looking well and so grateful for your videos. Enjoy your upcoming adventure! 😊

Enjoying your older videos while you are taking a break.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!!!
I do love Miranda and Donna, they’re really so funny and seem so genuinely nice, they remind me of the mother and daughter from Emma by Jane Austen
Mrs & Miss Bates?! Haha, I don't think that's quite the compliment you intend, but thanks all the same! Glad you enjoy the videos xxx
Glad to see you are doing well. I too had an awful reaction to the vaccine. Interesting the wide range of symptoms. Great video. Much love from USA.
You all were missed so very much!
Part 2: I'd LOVE to see you two on The Great British Bake Off! A book people special edition, AND it involves a read too.
