just ordered two of these a few days ago to replace my 6+ year old samsung E330 and E310 monitors. got a little nervous that I didnt make the right choice, but this review makes me feel reassured that for this price point I made the right choice, can't wait to finally join the modern era in the world of 144hz gaming
@@juliangregoryvelayo4318 yes! they still hold up very well. I'm really happy with them for the price. just be aware, the HDR feature is not that great, but you can disable HDR and it looks good. HDR is usually only good in more expensive monitors because of how much more brightness is needed for HDR. Again, Im really satisfied with these monitors and it made my gaming experience so much better. 144hz is so much smoother than the 60hz i had before.
@@mbrenneman0411 I can vouch for that. I own the monitor for a little year now. The monitor is the best bang for the buck in my opinion. Colors are awesome, viewing angles are perfect and the settings like stated in the video are very good and responsive.
I ordered the 32" LG GN650-B last week and it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I'm so excited & have been watching so many of your videos these past few weeks. I'm on ps4 until I can get my hands on a ps5 and I mainly play Fortnite.
Very nicely done bro.. liked it.. supported! The only gripe I have about this LG 27 incher is the 81 ppi density as it's running 1080p on a 27". I do mostly text editing based work. Does the texts look sharp enough for reading long hours.. or are there noticeable text pixelation that cause eye strain? Which alternative would you recommend in budget?
Will my experience be poor if I go for 27" 1080p? P.S. I've never used a 1080p monitor before (neither 24" nor 27"). The only 1080p screen I've used is my 15" laptop screen.
hey man, great review and quality of video as always. Could you help me make a decition? I'm planning on buying a new monitor and I can't decide between this 27GN650-B and 27GN6800-B, I have a 1650s but I'll get the 3070 soon. What would you recomend is the best option? Because some people say 27" should be 1440p but others say if I keep playing 1080p with the 3070 I'll run the games with better settings and I'm getting stressed for thinking which monitor should I get.
@@eliasalt2580 from my research I found that the best size for 1080p is 24" tops. If you want 27" is better if you play at 1440p. But I can't tell for sure because I've never tried 27" at 1080p
I didnt go for 27" because I was only going to get 1080p with high hz. So I went for the 24" LG 24GN600-B. Plus i felt 27" might be a little too big right on my desk
This is a solid monitor guys trust. I just got it yesterday. Only issue ive been experiencing is the screen dimms by itself. Like at random times, it’ll go dim and the it’ll go brighter. Dk if its a setting on my computer or setting on the monitor. If any of you guys could point me in the right direction to fix this imd appreciate it pls! :)

@thatfooriese I also have the PS5. Though you can't use the VRR function. It's an ok monitor for it, too. I mostly use my LG C1 48" for XSX and PS5. If you want VRR, then you'll have to source an HDM1 2.1 capability monitor.
hi, hope you can help me. i bought this monitor to use it with pc. I have a problem with warzone, there is a flickering on the edges of objects that gives me a bad visual of the game. this problem only improves by enabling DLSS. on the pc I mount nvidia 3060ti video card. please help me understand what's wrong. a thousand thanks.
I have noticed the outter lines in game look too blurry as if I was using a lower res than 1080p, might it be because I'm relatevely close to the monitor? For I know you can make the outter lines more sharper in NVIDIA panel
Hi! I really liked the review but I am still kinda confused, here is why: I have been using "Benq Ex2780q" for both editing and gaming (its a 2k monitor), I play COD WARZONE. I am quite not satisfied with In-Game performance as I have FPS issues with it. I power my pc with Gigabyte 2080 super. So, I want to buy a FHD monitor for better stable gaming since I have also started to stream which drops the FPS like 10 to 20. I have options: 1. 27GL650F ((priority), but skeptical about FHD in 27" ) 2. 24GN650 b 3. Acer Nitro QG241YS what do you say?? Thanks!!!
I'm not him, and it's already been 10 months. But every display can reach "retina" sharpness, which is the highest, if you sit far enough. Resolution still matter, since some are impractical Like my 32 inch 720p tv. Which need to be 1,90cm away to look this sharp. Although at 1,50cm looks good. 24 full HD or anything with 93ppi, like 32 1440p, is retina at 95cm away. 27inch is at 107cm away. But, if you do this simple math If you sit at 70cm away from a 24 full hd, you are only 2cm closer to his "retina point" than in the 27 inch if you sit at 80cm away. Although it's a theory, I don't have any, much less both monitors to try this. So I can't really confirm this. Although, it makes sense, doesn't? Personally, i tried putting videos with 24-27 inch in my 32 tv, and 27 is a better size. Also I liked more 24 at 60cm away. And 27 at 80-100. So I will trust this theory To make my decision. Unless another factor makes me change it. Anyway, to confirm those informations about ppi and distance you can search on Google "display distance, retina and dimension calculator" You can find a site where you can put size and resolution, doing that you will know the exactly distance where you can't see any pixel.
Thanks for this awesome rewiew! I’m actually using a 1080p 144hz monitor right now, but I’m guessing if I should upgrade to a 34 inch ultrawide. And that’s where I have a problem: A friend borrowed me his for testing, but I can’t get it to work: It doesn’t get a signal from my laptop, but the monitor is shown in windows. The weird thing is that the monitor has no problems at all to connect with the Xbox via the same hdmi cable. Any idea what’s wrong with that thing? 🥺
laptops can be kinda weird with hdmi outputs... at least in my experience when I had a laptop 6 years ago... you did have the other monitor unplugged right?
