Bill Sparks Real stuff. As I see it, Catching with your body isn't a bad thing at all; in fact, it's actually good in some cases. Me playing WR, you have to realize that sometimes you have to catch the ball close to your body to prevent the DB from swatting your hands down. As long as that's not the only way you can catch a football there's nothing wrong with catching with your body from time to time.

Yeah, it's not a huge negative. I just know that scouts covet players who don't body catch. My point and case is Vernon Davis, the dude is the biggest body catcher in the league and has a few head scratching drops because of it.
