@@roseburns2341 Here in Mayo the mountains would be a great place for them because Mayo is one of the only counties with a massive population of wild goats. We also have loads of hares and foxes which make up a great part of the golden eagles diet. The white tailed sea eagles are here Mayo but only on the massive lakes
Its such a pity that we only have ourselves to blame for ruining the landscape.. No eagles other than a sea eagle would survive in Ireland.. There's just no large prey for them.. All the forests are gone and the wile goats ect are all but gone ... You can see why they survive still in places like America.. Big enough to not be totally ruined by Humans just yet..
@@omstygomsty Sure.. But not enough to sustain birds of prey in numbers.. you'd only get complaints anyways that sheep and dogs were going missing when they become opportunistic with limited food sources..
I live in glengarriff and saw em once soaring above our school
😊
Excellent Presentation,
Amazing, would love to help in some way.
Very cool
Still on the island sept 20
of course you wont talk about the failure of the golden eagle reintroduction
Has it been a failure? How so?
@@taintabird23 the birds have no food, their being killed, no habitat and only 1 chick survived since 2013
@@taintabird23 seriously look it up and you won't find 1 article on rte about them
@@roseburns2341 Ya I seen that. The goldies in Donegal are starved. Even if they'd drop a few dead sheep up there it'd help them

Wild goats still roam the McGillicuddy Reeks mountain range and parts of Killarney National Park

That’s why it’s about reforesting. I give monthly to Reforest Nation.
It’s a obligation to do this
