This is awesome! As someone who lives in Fairbanks, 100 miles north of Denali, I’ve been wondering how many tourists are coming as Denali survives in the summers with thousands of tourists from the states and around the world. The tourist industry surely thanks you guys! Alaska as a whole survives off of oil and tourism which is obviously really down right now.
It was crazy to see some of the places so empty! We're used to places like Talkeetna and enali being absolutely PACKED this time of year. We were glad to get out and help any way that we could.
Sorry your childhood home was removed. It can be a shock to return to your childhood places and see so much has changed. God bless your travels with joy and safety.
“Mountain Pass” is Broad Pass. 😉. It’s actually a dividing line. The Rivers to the South drain to Cook Inlet and to the North, the Yukon River. Great place for berry picking as well.
RVing is definitely something on our family bucket list! I still can’t get over how late the sun stays up! Wow! Can’t wait to to get to Alaska one day, and I think Cruise America might be the way we go!
We would absolutely recommend Cruise America! Their staff was great with helping us understand the RV and it was such a fun and unique way to experience Alaska!
Really looking forward to this series and seeing all around Alaska with you guys! Still really mind boggling that it’s that late and still light outside. 😂
Thank you for sharing your experiences in the beautiful State which you call home! It is breathtakingly beautiful! We have so much fun watching you and Sherri and Auburn as well since you mentioned her in one of your previous videos. We went on a Disney Cruise for 9 days to Alaska last year and it was absolutely beautiful. We want to do an RV trip on the Alcan with a caravan. We have an RV and love to travel that way as you can stop whenever you want to, eat, use the bathroom, nap and continue on. Can't wait to see more of your adventures showing us your homeland! Happy and safe travels. God bless.
The mountains are gorgeous! How amazing to still have light so late at night. We are also planning on doing a lot of RV camping in our home state, in Florida, this year, as all the covid issues are making trips outside of the state a bit challenging. Planning on Disney (of course ;) ) as well as the Kennedy Space Center and St. Augustine. It should be fun to stay in state and support the local economy. Enjoy your trip!
I think the best part is being able to stop where ever and you are safe and sound. I would love to do a RV trip across Canada and end up in Alaska. Enjoy!
Your trip looks so amazing! I’ve never been to Alaska. I have several friends who have cruised there and they love it but you’re showing us some awesome areas! Can’t wait to continue on this journey with you!! I’m lovin the way you & Sherri are livin life 🤗
So wonderful!!! When I went to Alaska with my parents (drove there from Iowa), we tent camped the entire time (except for a couple places we flew to, then stayed with friends). My husband has started looking into handicapped accessible RVs. I would LOVE to camp again! THANK YOU for taking me along on this trip! :D
I love the RV, it looks so cozy and fun!!! Wow, Alaska is gorgeous. Aww heck yeah, I love Peanut butter cup smores!!! We did that last fall when we rented a cabin on our road trip to Moab Utah, sooooo yummy!!!
This incredible!! I found your channel a few months back, and have been binging your videos. I love your content! I've been wanting to go to Alaska for a long time, and your channel has shown me so much I couldn't imagine. This RV adventure looks like so much fun!!!
We hope that one day you are able to check Alaska off the list! We definitely encourage people to visit and experience it. As great as it is on video, it’s even more amazing in person.
How cool is this trip!!!!!! LOVE it! Your commentary is awesome; Always interesting to hear about new places. The RV looks pretty cozy and my children now want to try making s’mores with Reese’s Peanut-butter cups lol WOW when you said “s’mores” and we all saw the Reese’s....instantly everyone went “that looks delicious” 😆 so ty for the snack tip and another fun and captivating vlog. Your friends from NJ Theresa and family xo 😃
So wonderful to see Alaska beyond the ports! Krispy Kreme doughnuts are best when served hot at the shop! Pro tip: avoid using the toilet on the caravan when possible.
This makes both my husband and myself want to go and visit Alaska.... Native Floridians here, have not really traveled.. but oh, how we want to see Alaska now!!!
Love it!!!! That is the same one we bought over 2 years ago. Love seeing you guys in a rv and we would love to rv Alaska some day and it is awesome to see you guys rv’ing around Alaska. You guys are awesome!! Keep it up. God speed and my you have a blessed trip.
I am beyond excited for this series!!! Is there a line forming for next summer yet??? Ya know... stay with the Leggs and tour AK with them in an RV....that could be a thing. 🤣🤣🤣
I love watching you guys and the Somers!! I was station at Ft Wainwright and I love seeing all the places I went. I miss Alaska and hopefully I can get back up there. Keep up the good work.
Sounds like alot of fun, i have always wanted to travel the world in an RV , i am really excited to see all the places y'all stop at... I also wanted to say that i found your channel from " The Somers Family " Jessica & Bert , such a lovely family & im so glad they shared your channel... Have a safe trip 💛
Just subscribed to your channel. Ordinary Adventures mentioned you all in their live stream. I was born in Alaska but left when I was 6 months old and have never been back. Looking forward to this RV series to check out Alaska ☺️
Hi Andie! Thank you so much for coming over and checking out our channel! I hope you enjoy seeing a bit more of Alaska. We try and show as much of our state as possible, so lots of different Alaska videos here! Hope you enjoy seeing them!
Such gorgeous, gorgeous scenery along the highway between Anchorage and Fairbanks. It is hard to drink it all in. I believe we ate at the Denali Brew Company while in Talkeetna. I wish we would have had more time to spend there. Our train didn't arrive until mid afternoon. By the time we got a taxi to town, many places were closed. I would have liked to visit the museum. Love history. The Mahay jet boat tour from Tslkeetna was wonderful. You guys should take it one day. Got to see some of Denali from the river.
"First of all, make a wish!..." lol love it! man those mountian views! I mean we have mountains here but they ain't nothin' compared to what you're looking at! That looks like so much fun. I wanna come next time!
This is so fun thanks for taking us along! 🤞 we’ll be travel back up there again in August. Can’t wait! For now your videos will carry us through until then.
Yeah, about $65 more per night. I guess we could fly to Alaska and explore in an RV for about the same cost as just staying in Idaho. Hmmm, now there's an idea! 😀
When I was on the Disney Dream I had to use the detachable shower head the whole cruise. I almost touched the ceiling in the shower area. There was also a rain shower head and a kitty bathtub. It was fine
Don't take this the wrong way... Wasn't looking at you all was trying to see all that beautiful scenery. 😊 I mean seriously... Its like you are in a living Thomas Kincade painting. I lived in New England as a child and went to the mountains in all the states... Never have I seen with my own eyes what you are seeing. So need to move to Alaska... 🤗
Those photos that Sherri took are amazing! The quality of light is breathtaking! Can't wait to see the rest of the trip, but, I've got to ask, what about the bugs...?
I'm so excited to see you cruising in Alaska! You must have seen the most beautiful scenery. I really wish I could go back, I remember going to some places you went to on my trip, definitely brings back memories. I have one question though, how often did you see wildlife like bear or moose on your trip? It can't be Alaska without it's wonderful wildlife. :)
We didn't see any bears unfortunately, but we saw 8 moose, Auburn saw a caribou, and we saw a few other smaller things as well. It's always fun to see wildlife when out adventuring :)
@legglife. My wife and I were looking to take our son to visit anchorage again in August but she’s terrified of the Covid regulations in Anchorage right now is it really that bad? Are there no tourists over there right now?
Good question! There definitely are tourists coming here, we're seeing more and more of that. I think people are wanting to take advantage of some of the amazing deals that exist this summer with such a slow tourist season. Make sure and check the travel requirements before coming here though. Many things are still open, but some things are choosing to stay closed this summer, but personally we think it's a great summer to visit Alaska!
Adam, how is it driving the 25 foot RV? My husband and I always talk about how cool it would be to travel in an RV across the country, but both of us are afraid to drive something that big!!! Looks like a good start to a fun trip!
Honestly, I was a little nervous at first, only because a UHaul was the biggest thing I had driven before this. However, it was super easy! The RV drove great and was super easy to use! I would highly recommend it. They do have different sizes as well.

Good question! When considering an RV rental I think it’s important to remember all of the costs it covers. You don’t have to rent a car, or pay for hotel stays (which can be very expensive in alaska), and you don’t have to eat all of your meals out at restaurants. So, I think that when you consider all of the costs it covers, it makes it much more affordable than many people think. Also, it’s such a great way to see and experience the land. The rv rental prices vary depending on location and season, but check out www.cruiseamerica.com for more detailed pricing and info.
@Irishinusa I've always wanted to rent an RV, but after you factor in the mileage fee and gas, it is super expensive. Renting a car and camping or staying in a hotel almost always ends up being cheaper.
There was one time in Delta Junction on our drive from Fairbanks when we were at a restaurant that was pretty full and as looked around and didn’t see one mask in sight! It was surreal
Dude! So awesome. My wife and I watched this together.
This is helping convince her of an Alaskan trip more and more.
Ha! Glad we’re able to help convince her of that! We definitely think Alaska is something that everyone should experience at least once.
This is awesome! They opened a Krispy Kreme in Wasilla?!? I've been under a rock!!! When I was up in Talkeenna 2 weeks ago, things were bumping.
They did! it actually just opened last month I think, so it's still VERY new! It's next to the Sonic that opened.
The mountains are gorgeous! How amazing to still have light so late at night.

LoL every time I hear the word Denali I start singing "Molly from Denali"🎶🎤 it's a cartoon on PBS that my girls love.😍❤
Yup!! We actually know people who were a part of making that show :)

We think and rv trip across Canada and into alaska sounds amazing!
That RV is so rad. What an amazing opportunity.
Right?! So cool! We had an absolutely amazing experience. So fun to see Alaska in a new way.
I will take the over the cab bed every time! Lol! That’s a really nice RV!! Stop it! Banana bread French toast?!
All the scenery is beautiful!!!!
I remember going camping with friends as a kid and they had an RV and I thought the over the cab bed was the coolest thing I had ever seen!

Its terrifying in Ak, IMHO. A lot of people do it, but it's super sketchy in some places. Cooper Landing and some.of the passes are really narrow.

Awesome!!! Question does Alaska not have mask orders??? Enjoy be safe!!!
Our case count in Alaska is fairly low so there aren't many places requiring masks. A few stores here and there, but not many.
The lack of masks on people is soooo weird...and I never dreamed I would say something like that and mean it wholeheartedly...
