it's so funny that it just immediately turned into regular wordle
Hapax legomenon is a word or expression that occurs once in a context. It sparked popularity in the British quiz show university challenge after Ted Loveday got a question in it right in lightning speed as part of the gonville and Caius- Cambridge.
Scott My starter has always been Steak and then Croup, I’m not sure why but it’s always been really great so I would love if you tried it!
adieu torcs is the same but replaces k with i which is useful

It would have been awesome if they were "april" and "fools" since different variants have different word lists so maybe this one does accept April
Hey Scott! I challenge you to start your wordle with 25 unique characters leaving you with only 1 guess to guess the word. Use these words: Glent, brick, jumpy, vozhd and waqfs. These words have been tried and tested and they all work - good luck!
Tried this and now I use it all the time for octordle, it’s incredibly easy!

Have you tried a Qwordle yet? It is not a typo of Quordle that is how it's spelt. You have to guess 2 words in one Grid so you don't know which words the yellows and greens apply to

I always use touse as a starter, it works well. A follow up is use is usually something like plain

Hapax is a word that only appears once in a work of literature.
I always start dordle, quordle, and octordle with the crate, pound, slimy. It checks 15 unique, good letters, all the vowels, and all the wheel of fortune letters, so I hope you try it and find success. It got me the “pran” from prank in all greens before I even started guessing. I always start wordle with adieu to get vowels though.
P.S. I didn’t even know hapax was a word. I guessed Japan after crate, pound, slimy, so I had the “apa”. I had to google words containing apa to find my next guess because I couldn’t think of one, so props to you for getting it. My way felt like cheating, but I never would’ve gotten the answer without it.

You should try quintessential, you switch letters, and the answers can be displayed horizontally or vertically, with a given team, grey squares means its not in that row or column.
I always go worn great because it's a "great" starting word
Wow, great score! I needed 6 tries. I was familiar with the word. Words in that form can be incredibly useful in Scrabble if you want to score 50 points on your opening move.
I feel like it may have been a deliberate thing that one of the words was prank on April fools.
I think its a nice ironic joke that hapax is something that is there only once and due to its rarity: Hapax is also a hapax in the sense that it will probably only be a correct word once. Also in every wordlist every word is a hapax
