Instagram - AdamTheWooATW Too close for comfort connecting these flights . I was stressed I didn’t get to the second before that door closed. I love delays airlines but wish they had more direct flights. That being said I successfully made it in time for d23. Let’s do this
I've always flown Delta and they have never had direct flights. That being said they have always known when their connections are at so they will hold the plane. They knew that you had just landed and they weren't going to leave you.
One thing about Delta over the other airlines... unless there is something major going on.... they will either wait for you or make sure you get where you are going.
Yeah, adding to the other comments, Delta will almost always hold planes for you unless there is a major delay on your connecting flight. I fly them almost every week and rarely miss connections. Next time you're connecting in SLC give yourself some extra time and check out the Delta lounge there. It's probably the best one in the country.
This guy is because you fly in Delta. Try using another airline like Southwest and you be more likely to have direct flights and save your self a lot of stress. Also stop backtracking and going on so many flights close together.
Oh my God, Adam, I was visualizing you, doing the OJ run at the airport, jumping with your portfolio, and you were on the beat Adam, but you made it. It definitely pulled an O.J. Simpson there.
Thanks for including the parrots. I used to live by the Orange Circle too and love those parrots. I'm glad they're still thriving. I have a parrot as a pet.
Its 1981, I'm driving through St. Louis early evening in a cramped Plymouth Champ with a light rain and heading to Lincoln Nebraska for a family reunion, driving all the way from Jacksonville, FL. Did I mention I was with my parents? , I'm about 22 years old, and, distracted, I took a wrong turn in downtown. I'm a bit lost. My Dad wakes up and yells out "Theres Stan Musial's statue" ! I barely caught a glimpse, and got all turned around trying to get back on the interstate. Saw Stan Musial about 3 more times before getting on our way. This was way before Vacation came out, and maybe one of the reasons I love that movie so much. Take care Adam, thought I'd share my story. Maybe the more scary part was seeing relatives in Lincoln I hadnt seen in years.
First off this is now Sat AM very very AM so I want to welcome you to awesome 50s!!! Happy Birthday Adam. Glad you mad your 2nd flight I will never book my second flight that close together. All these airlines go to one of their hubs then send ya on to your destination. Have a fantastic time at d23, and a fantastic 50th Birthday today
It was so stressful to watch you walk to your next gate in SLC but I kept telling myself you must have known you were going to make it to be able to film and stop and look at things. I just love your airport and flying videos and appreciate you doing them very much!!!
That is the terminal where Planes, Trains and Automobiles was filmed for sure! (Definitely not terminal 2) I worked across the highway from the airport where they were filming several scenes at the airport exit. I saw Steve Martin and his double and John Candy filming right at the exit in front of the airport. That day huge amounts of crushed ice was dumped on the hill to make it look like winter. It was actually summer when they filmed. I walked over to the overpass on my lunch amd spoke with several of the crew, Steve Martin was doing a part where he carried a brief case and slipped down the hill over and over. Doing his own stunt work while his double relaxed in a big directors chair! Very cool to watch! Thanks for visiting St Louis! 🌟❤☀👍👍👍👍👍
Enjoy your birthday on the 10th!!!! Happy 50th!! You're such a beautiful and wonderful person!! Enjoy your time and don't worry about anything but celebrating you and doing what makes you happy on your birthday!! You are treasured always!!❤🎉
So glad you’re back in the OC!!! I was at DTD yesterday and guess I’ll miss my chance AGAIN to meet you. 😢Maybe someday! Have a great time at D23. I’d probably have a meltdown to see all my fav vloggers in one place!!! Huge hugs!!
Delta does the hub and spoke model. So depending on your origin and destination, you likely need to fly through one of their hubs to build your itinerary.
Happy Birthday, a day early!!! Most airlines run hub and spoke. Delta hubs are LAX SLC SEA MSP DET JFK ATL. Most came from mergers and the two that they had they closed in CVG, Cincinnati and DFW. Several cities server more routes than just to hubs.
🎉Happy birthday for tomorrow Adam, don't know if you'll be posting or having a well deserved day off? That one day a year 😂 Either way congrat's you did it Fit by 50 You are looking great a noticable difference to your former self! Well done & many, many happy returns. 😎👍🎉🎊🎖️
That was a really close layover. Glad you made it. My anxiety would have been sky-high. There seemed to be a lot of private small planes there at John Wayne Airport.
If your blister gets worse, or, doesn't heal in time, it's a little gross, but, you can sanitize a sewing needle, and pop the blister, ointment, and a band-aid. It helps A TON. I had to do that back on a Disneyland trip when I wore some bad shoes. I was surprised how much it helped. Good Luck! o7
do NOT do this!!! Infection risk is extremely high. Try to protect the blister and if it gets bigger, seek assistance from an urgent care walk in center.
🎈🎈🎈Happy Birthday Adam!! I hope you have have a very special birthday today August 10TH!! I also wish you many more wonderful birthdays to come!! I know it’s a special birthday for you but I won’t post your age, for security reasons. This was the only way that I could post a birthday greeting to you. Enjoy your special day Adam!!🥳🎉🤗 from me and my cat 😽❤️!!
Idk how to send u a message until you post toady 8/10 just wanted to say happy b day. We share abday so it's easy for me to remember! I hope you lost all your weight, I glanced at a party from last year and I can see a big difference! When I lost my 200lbs it looked like I had lost it starting at head then chest then etc. I'm happy for u. So happy 🎂 day friend can't wait to see what u do to celebrate! What a day for d23! I'm going to work and i guess u are too! lol XOXO
I am a Flight Attendant and the last 3 days of flying were extremely stressful due to being filled with delays due to Hurricane Debby, and delays due to the Air and Water show, which caused insane delays at O’hare airport. I am spending one day in bed just to decompress and rest.
Delta's hubs are Atlanta, Detroit, Seattle, Minneapolis, Salt Lake and NYC(JFK) you'll find the most nonstops from the hubs, outside of that expect to connect. Also if you want Global Entry apply now it's a couple month wait for an interview right now.
I hate when the connecting flight is that close on time. We just had one like that from Morocco connecting in Madrid to Dallas. We thought we would miss it because the plane leaving Morocco got delayed about 45 minutes. We made it, but its so frustrating to think you might miss it.
Hub & Spoke design A the W... Delta and most other airlines use the same concept. 😎🤔... BTW, Band Aid makes a blister specific bandage. They are wonderful.
If you ask for an indoor taxi when you exit your plane they will drive you thru the terminal to your loading area/gate. Tell them you have a bad foot and they’ll get you there in no time ;D
Delta doesn't fly directly because OC has the shorted runway because the residents of Newport complained that the planes were too loud. So I don't think large planes can land on that runway. You should look up the history of John Wayne Airport. It's pretty interesting.
In regards to Planes, Trains and Automobiles the other terminal did not exist. That is the place. Across the highway is the lot where the rental car scene took place.
You might not be aware of this, but you could request the flight attendant to request the pilot to radio to the next flight that you're arriving and expecting to 'board' your next flight following arrival. They will try to accomodate you!! Only a suggestion.
D23 !! Cant wait! Adam, have you ever seen the movie called the stuff? it's about this pink ooze that flows up out of the ground and people start eating it because apparently it tastes like yogurt. Then of course horror ensues
I’d be in full on panic mode with that kinda connection time. Anything less than an hour makes me leery..especially with all the flight delays these days.
The card you got from the second flight A220 was the same as the first flight although the first plane was the 300 model & second flight was the 100 model & your card is for the 300.
Your friend seems like a great guy. Who is he? A neighbor? Also why is it called D23? Seems like it would be D24 if it has anything to do with the year.
You made that flight with time to spare. There were still people boarding the plane. I once had to run from the ticket counter straight to the plane. Right after I got on, they shut the door. I would of been stuck in Newark for who knows how long.
Adam, you keep saying "direct flight" and I think you may mean "nonstop" flight. A direct flight can have multiple stops, but there is no plane change involved. A nonstop flight is just that - it doesn't stop along the way.
my mother had to make that kind of connection when she visited my aunt dotty a while back and she had a full bladder at the time (glad she made the flight. This was pre 9/11 btw)
I flew Delta once a few years ago from Boston to Sioux Falls, SD via Atlanta and back the same way. Every leg of every flight was late. It was the middle of the summer and no weather related delays. They just were perpetually running late. Kind of like me trying to get to work every morning.
I go out of my way to avoid short connections. I never book a flight that has a layover of less than an hour. Also, I think the connecting flight issue isn't so much about which airline you take but the airports you are flying out of/into. For example, LAX has way, way more nonstop flights than SNA (John Wayne) does.
Adam I signed up for TSA precheck and CLEAR at MCO. Was so easy and I think you get global entry also. Took 5 minutes to get through security with CLEAR and the regular line was over an hour.
I been to stl before it was twa hub and this airport has some abandoned areas that twa used there’s a UA-cam video on here that has the abandoned gates area. I hate 35m layovers i can’t do them I made a 1h and 4m layover in dfw and I only can do long layovers

That movie never gets old.
Get the extra wide, waterproof bandaids to put on your heel to cover the blister.
I did not know about the Delta cards… they look neat and fun to collect! I’ll keep my eyes out when I travel so I can start collecting them 👍

As long as you didn’t have batteries to change you should’ve been alright. Home alone 2 reference
I can hear "Run Run Rudolph" during your airport race 😂

57 fwy only goes to the 22 orange crush connector. The fwy you saw flying in was the 55 fwy. ☺️👍🏼😁😄

Adam The Woo and the Quest for the furthest Gate. 😂
should be a indie sequel
The airplane cards are so cool! I had no idea they did that!
having grown up in Irvine, when I see your Orange County videos, I miss home. then, I see you in traffic and remember why I moved. 🙂

I think the reason for more connecting flights is fuel costs.
A long flight needs more fuel then a shorter flight
D23 !! Cant wait! Adam, have you ever seen the movie called the stuff? it's about this pink ooze that flows up out of the ground and people start eating it because apparently it tastes like yogurt. Then of course horror ensues
Yep I have The Stuff on Blu Ray , ha
I’d be in full on panic mode with that kinda connection time. Anything less than an hour makes me leery..especially with all the flight delays these days.

that tiny plane is the only direct flight they have
Hey you flew past my house at 31:47 😆 I’m off the 55 at Chapman 🧡🍊
Such a shame and dishonor that Disney decided to bury the memory of James Basketts in the song of the south
I didn’t know California had wild parrots that’s so cool
Flip flops on flights is nasty. Just my opinion. Have fun in Cali.
What’s the difference in that and people taking their shoes off on the plane like Del Griffith ?
Ahh man you were literally 15 mins away from the worlds tallest ketchup bottle, and the best gooey butter cake
Welcome back to to OC!
Oh damn I always thought that airport shot was ohare and I could never figure out where??? lol now I know….thanks.😊
You guys at least get them one hour at them for next time that’s rough. I’m glad you made it.
Adam, you keep saying "direct flight" and I think you may mean "nonstop" flight. A direct flight can have multiple stops, but there is no plane change involved. A nonstop flight is just that - it doesn't stop along the way.
Adam the Phew! Dang, that stressed me out! Glad you made it!
You get precheck included if you do global entry.
my mother had to make that kind of connection when she visited my aunt dotty a while back and she had a full bladder at the time (glad she made the flight. This was pre 9/11 btw)
Happy belated 🥳 !
Well Adam, as I am watching you. Wouldn't make it myself. Cause of the crutches I use, been on them for over 40 years.
There’s US surf open in Huntington Beach, drop by and check out the scene.
Delta is my go to for traveling from Orlando to LAX (Disneyland), but there's not many direct flights among other major cities.
I flew Delta once a few years ago from Boston to Sioux Falls, SD via Atlanta and back the same way. Every leg of every flight was late. It was the middle of the summer and no weather related delays. They just were perpetually running late. Kind of like me trying to get to work every morning.
I’ve had great luck with delta . My only issue is not enough direct flights

I go sockness with Crocs because I can't get traction, my foot starts to slide in the sock.
I was getting anxiety watching you try to make it to that plane on time 😂
Happy birthday Adam 🎂🎉
The upside of being fit at 50... making quick layover changes XD
Crocs do sell the ones with the fuzzy liners in them. They are very comfortable and warm. No socks needed with those. 😎👍🐊
Happy Birthday 🎉
Could of edited out the sandal shot post TSA screening. Not a good look on the big screen. Get some KT tape for future heel blister prevention.
You, planes and weather LOL
I fly southwest out of STL. A lot more direct flight options.
