    This is by far the best video I've seen of flying a private jet! I retired as a banner tow pilot out of North Perry...never wanted to fly bigger planes, but watching them is so much fun!

    • @AccidentalAviator
      @AccidentalAviator  5 місяців тому +1

      Thank you! How long were you flying banner towers out of Perry? Did you know Jimmy Goggin? (that's going back a bit) He was a friend of our family that I had done aerobatics with many years ago. He unfortunately died picking up a banner, I think back in 2004.

      @@AccidentalAviator I flew the yellow "shitboxes" from Sept 2004 to July 2016. Never got to meet Jimmy but heard he was a great person and pilot. I was at the keys three yrs ago for the first time , it was nice but I was surprised at the damage from a previous hurricane had not been cleaned up after 3-4 yrs , a lot of deadfall in the mangroves and damaged houses and structures, but overall nice place , loved the Key deer down on key island , they are not afraid of cars or people . This jet sure is nice seems smooth and quiet. Thanks for the ride!

    Hello Captain!
    Many thanks for this awesome video.
    I flew as a private pilot for many years, and only once did I have the privilege of flying this route, Fort-Lauderdale Exec to Key West. It is really a beautiful flight, I had two good friends on-board with me, it was in a Cessna 182, and that was back in the mid 90s. I was flying VFR at the time with nothing more for nav-aid instruments than 2 VORs and one ADF, no auto-pilot!
    Subsequently after retiring from piloting, I did fly that route again using the FSX flight simulator, many times in Citations and also Lear Jets.
    So your video threw my back to many pleasant memories and awesome scenery!
    Thanks for sharing!

    Been to Key West many times. Only flown in and out of the Keys one time. That was on an American Eagle connection flight out of Miami to Marathon. That was in the mid 1990s. I haven’t been to Key West now in 20 years. It’s about a 17 hr drive from my house and I’m not as young as I used to be. I can’t handle them long drives like I used to could.
    I’ve made the drive from Hollywood down to Key West many times. Which is basically the same as the flight you took. If I remember right I took 5 to 7 hours to drive, what took you 30 minutes to fly.
