Great video mate. But unfortunately when i go to select the file it won't allow it. The file is the same as yours, i pasted the link in word, hit enter, saved as text file etc, TXT file with the iqy extension. I've tried saving it in different locations as i thought the "permissions" might be preventing it from selection but it didn't matter. Any ideas?
By a miracle I managed to figure it out. The only thing that was different was that it wasn't prompting me to change it to .iqy as yours does at 4:15. So even though when i looked at the file it showed the extension as .iqy, when i went to "view info" it was secretly a .txt. I changed it to iqy and it works! Thanks for the video again.

I had the same issue, the iqy file I created wasn't highlighted. If I clicked on the Get external data from HTML (An icon under the data tab for me XLS for mac) I could find the queries folder and then I could click on the file.

Got it ! You have to save it as a .txt , "MS-DOS", "CR/LF", "from left to right" when saving it under word, and then go in the folder, cmd + I on the file and then change its name to "filename.IQY".
Then if you try to open it it in excel it should work

UPD: the issue is about Excel can't understand the point but can understand the comma. How can I switch point to comma when I query the data from external source?

excel wont let me select the iqy document I created :( please help! what do I do?
In the Dialog --> right click --> Rename
The selected File to rename will be selectable.
