    Hi Jeremy, could you explain why you left the metallic map empty? Those dirts and grunges on the surface should affect the reflectance values of those areas as they are not metallic.

      Very good point. Yes you can subtract some of the metallic values from the metallic map using the scratches. For this example I chose to keep the materials fully metallic and then paint dirt on with a non-metallic layer in Substance Painter. But, removing some metallic value from where the scratches are would make it more accurate.

    scratch_damage has a Color Mode setting that can save you a Grayscale Conversion node.
