In this video I pass through Romford to check out the Sports Direct Store where they now also sell C.P Company, I wanted to see how it was sold in the store and what else was happening in there, Do you think C.P Company brand is being ruined by selling in a budget sports retailer ?
Let me know your thoughts and enjoy.

Ashley owns flannels too, juat different sign above the door
Is that why they sell snide moncler 😂
I remember back in like 2006/2007 sports direct had YSL polo tops and other stuff for like £40/50 them same shirts today are like £400
Yes mate!!!!
Yep still got a couple ts and polos from 10+ years ago.
@@TheOgapatapata glad people still remember! I use to wear them for school Not many people knew about YSL back then. Even back then I said to myself I should snap all of them up, wish I did now… I swear they had deals to it was like 2 for £60 or 3 for £90? One or the other but yeah good times!
They were selling them for about £10 in there back in 2006
Double-check the price tags at the till. I picked up a CP goggle hoodie at USC attached to a SD store. It said £250 on the CP price tag, but the smaller USC sale price sticker for £175 had fallen off! Same price as Flannels, but they didn't have my size. The only thing you miss out on is a posh bag to carry it home in...
Cp company will never be ruined , you only find the basic stuff in sports direct , jumpers, hoodies etc…
Nah. When a brand, no matter what it is, hits the lower end of the high st, it's over. Was the same when Armani got sold in JD years ago. Now it's a roadman brand.
@@RBC0405 EA7 yes. But the higher end of giorgio and emporio is still in fashion and still expensive, you don’t see peasant roadmen flexing with that type of stuff
Shame to see cp company selling in sports direct thay sell it in house of frazer and sports direct own that store keep the videos coming
Lacoste cp pretty green been in certain sports direct for a few years , my local one in Kew got big selection Hox 👍
Mike built 2 joint flannels/usc/sports sites in Leicester and they are both tearing it. The best store to shop in in Leicester hands down
owned by the same group as flannels & usc.
would it be such an issue if the usc stores were not incorporated within/alongside sports direct shops? I personally don't think it would.
if you bought the same brands (cp, boss, lacoste etc) from flannels would that make it a more pristine purchase?
also is it any different from buying cp from an outlet store like present in hackney?
if anything mike ashley has made a clever move. making the brands more accessible to the masses.
apart from the carrier bag, it's the same thing as far as I'm concerned!
bit snobbish if you ask me
I agree all owned by the same chain people shop at other places for the bag to look good if stone island was sold there I would still buy I like the brands regardless where there sold 😊
People just love image too much omg you can buy it sports direct ! Must be tacky ! 😂 when really you’re not buying it in sportdirect you’re buying it from USC
I’ve bought stuff out sports direct before t shirts for work /lounging around in etc. Got c p myself. Wouldn’t think it’d sell much for its market it’s aimed at
Been in sport directs for time at least in Glasgow
I would not be that dramatic. CP are doing very well these days, especially with the new sea island and filoscozia pieces. No one likes to see CP in sports direct but that's merely a consequence of the global world we live today and that certain brands (including CP) were badly hit by covid, war, etc. so their surplus or unsold stuff needs to go somewhere. I see no difference between Sports Direct or a cheap outlet in Hackney. I will keep buying CP. Also, the fact that CP is being sold in Sports Direct, does not mean people will buy it or that you'll start to see it more in the streets. If you want a piece, you'll get it regardless where is sold. Sports Direct main point is cheap pieces and the demographics of Sports Direct are mostly young people on a budget so I doubt people will spend 250 pounds in a hoodie anyways. This is happening in other sectors, for example within the watch industry, you can now see top Swiss brands in high street shops when this was unthinkable some time ago, is that bad? I don't think so. Do I like it? No. Do I care? No.
CP is CP ❤ top end clothing!
Mike Ashley bought some of the rights for YSL back in the day. All those YSL polos in vintage shops and ebay are literally from sports direct. Smart man.
In Swindon we have a usc shop flannels shop and a sports direct shop basically all next door to each other
Ma.Strum and Paul and Shark are the best imo
Dropppp the prices and ill be HAPPYYYYYYYY - Idc if CP falls lol if i get it cheap why not!
Still quite expensive when u deep it 💰 I got a Cp tracksuit and a cargo trousers I payed almost 6 bills in sports direct
Personally I don’t care if they sell it in sports direct same thing as buying from selfridges makes no difference 🤷♂️
People just chattin bs for no reason
mike ashley could buy LV and stick the gear on the rails… 😂
It's like when they put lacoste in JD I stopped buying it. Paul and shark have some bits online at sports direct.
They need to stop cheapening the brand
LC has always been in JD in some capacity. When JD had "Ath Leisure" it was there and that was nearly 25 years back.
Please more street tours for the summer time😎🙌
At those fairly limited discounts I can't see why someone would buy CP from there. If you're going to buy a brand like that you'd still want a more premium experience either on or offline and you can find equivalent discounts elsewhere. Still not a great look for the brand, however I'm pretty sure the deal would've been done with the Fraser Group with stockists such as Flannels in mind. Went into the Oxford St store months ago and they had a CP stand right at the entrance rather than in USC which is downstairs.
Can’t understand why they’d think it’s a good idea to sell it in there.
I would understand it if it was cheaper than flannels but it’s exactly the same prices. They must be selling it though as it’s in loads of SD’s now. If they were selling high end pieces at cheap prices we would all be lining up in there
Ironic if you walk round the corner there is a flannels in Romford. So covering both markets. Good business strategy in a place that doesn't have to be in london. PS I live 3 miles from romford and it's nice to be able to shop locally for decant clobber. As u know from ur recent u tube from 1st choice closing down
Romford is in London.
Next your see Palm Angels in ASDA 🙄
The end of CP IMHO it matters where they sell the brand
already been seeing it die off anyway, hasn't got the same power as something like Stone Island
Stone island will be next give it 5yrs
@@flizzy4645 yeah I agree, people are going off designer and everything is going baggy again
@@flizzy4645not really mate, moncler owning them is having the opposite effect.
Stones fell of too quality gone downhill and prices are stupid now
This is the same in Birmingham mate for a while now
Brand is done, Romeo done.
Even the local homeless man is rockin a SI😂 romeo done!!
Ashley owns Flannels House of Fraser USC etc it doesn't lessen the brand if anything the brand ruined itself when they started putting the lens and watch viewer on everything you can think of that watch viewer used to be limited to high-end limited edition Mille Miglias it was never on entry-level jackets now it's everywhere.
And you come to romford that's where I got my last cp sweatshirt
The lens should have just stayed on the Mille miglia 100%
@@miamiglia Exactly they've made the Mille Miglia not as desirable as it once was I still love CP but it's not as good as it used to be now and again they do drop some special pieces but the majority is just the same old designs season after season.
The end for cp
They all owned by the same chain people shop at other places for the bag to look good and they dont sell the hard to find pieces or rare or limited edition if stone island was sold there I would still buy I like the brands regardless where there sold 😊
Paul and Shark is a seriously underrated brand, quite expensive, but they still make their clothes over in Italy and not Chinese Sweatshops, always see it in Leeds, i think its better than Stoney and CP tbf
Ten C is the best of them all imo but the prices are mad. Even sillier than these Moncler owned SI prices 😂 jacket and a decent liner you’re looking at 1500+ but the quality is incredible.
It was, but P&S is old hat now. It was dying off around 2004. It was everywhere in the mid 00's.
Least in that sports direct the lens are on the tops in mine in Bristol the tops don’t have the lens till you buy the item
What’s the issue you still get the badge if you buy the item lol
Yea I see this in sports direct the other day lmao
They even managed to make cp company look cheap presentation is key I can't stand that shop tbh always smells
yeah they got a distinct smell can't get anywhere else lol
you need to so sone investment tips.. like to here what areas you think are worth investing…
Not here in the Netherland yet…..
The badges are taken out incase they got stolen
Yh now it looks like Nike not sure why they put it in sports direct
Here's a big shock - sports direct own (four marketing) who have the UK distribution rights for Stone Island, CP company and various other premium brands. So expect them to land in their lower tier sports direct stores (as the cost of living crisis continues in the economy and people struggle)
It's also known, Stone Island and CP company appeals to those in poor areas - because it is seen as a way to rise above other males in your area. Which is one of the reasons why parallel trading is tolerated by the brand alongside reducing cost of production etc (but that is another story)
CP is dead. Has been for years but appearing in SD is final nail in the coffin.
Been sold in there for years
SD is a bullet proof business price for everyone budget.
it got ruined the minute they put that "look at me" black disk on the clobber
There was always the argument if CP was the same as Stone Island…. It’s finally answered 😢
USC best high street shop . Big brand names at a discount.
You find Sports Direct in more countries in the world than any of the brands and in thise places they are regarded as high quality and tend to have inflated prices...Sometimes they are jnow as Sports vision also...anyways whi care about brands if it looks good and is made decently.
Hearing this will stop me buying any more CP to be honest
I got a cp company google jacket
Desperately CP 😅
CP Company is ruined now
Jackets lens on sleeve is the only thing good about it
It’s ruined slightly by all the chavs wearing them but will always get that with top end brands unfortunately
Cant blane SD for there strategies here, a brand is a brand, who's selling it is irrelevant to me & most shoppers, the price is everything now we can literally price check while were in the que.
I just say, i dont need a bag thanks, and crack on 😂
Next will be stone island followed by Moncler. Another Italian designer brand sold on the cheap ruining the image and overall desirability of the brand.
This is what happens when 1 idiot owns several shops. U cant sell CP in sports direct
Ashley ruined USC (Stuff in there used 2 b neatly arranged + half decent) he comes in & the place became like an indoor market & most of the stuff was shite! 😂
You won’t find high ticket bits in there. Let’s be honest no real CP collector/fan wants a hoody with a mini watch viewer lense on their bicep 😂
C.P putting out some serious bits still u just won’t find them there. I’d say even most Flannels stores have pretty dead stuff. Their online is a different story mind.
Only people I ever see in cp company now is the youth at football, goggles on everything ruined it years ago 🤷♂️
People here talking as if cp is some sort of haute couture... its not.... its overpriced chav clobber.....
Love me some overshirts and what not, but the whole massimo osti craze is just bollocks
Perhaps in your opinion, which you are entitled to. If others feel differently, then they are entitled to feel different also. Appreciate your opinion on it. Have a good day.
Its always been a trash brand, only fools were paying big bucks for clothing with black goggles like some little kid clothes lol
Not the jackets
@@Yellaboyy one goggle or 2 dont matter still a goggle on your clothes
🤡
@@mpablo8853😂 I bet Pablo out here rocking Umbro.
other than the original mille miglia jackets the rest of Cp company stuff is lame
CP is dead …shame as it used to be quality but Ashley putting it on sports direct is the final straw for me …putting a lens on everything everywhere was bad enough but now Ashley has it , it’s only going to end badly 🙁
He buys stuff out of date out of fashion from outlet lol
That's what I said! Ruined
one word: terrible
People who buy C.P are mugs
Get back to Primark ya tramp.
Wgy gd quality
@@jamesjones3371 For the money now it's not good quality at all.
@@suprarcjpop545nothing is worth the money now just buy what you like and stop complaining.
Full on waste man brand now.
U just can’t afford it
It’s not a wasteman brand. Nike tech is and Goose
@@Yellaboyy every wasteman and his dog is wearing CP. It's 100% wasteman.
@@scottyleics So u calling Kano a wasteman
@@scottyleics U sound dumb af
Sports direct stepping up recently
Chelsea there is one in North end road lol
