The P2000 is the only modern HK pistol I haven’t fired and it’s for the exact reason you mentioned in the video. Can’t ever find one anywhere. Maybe one of these days.
I picked up my p2000 new in 9mm about three months ago. Truly enjoy shooting it, I did install trijicon hd sights. This will be my cc/edc. Replacing m&p shield 9mm. I really like the da/sa.
I switched to an HK P2000 as my daily carry, in part to its lineage with the USP. It’s accurate and feels like a natural extension of my hand. First HK was about 2 years ago, not I have 5 different models. It’s addictive.
The P2000 is an outstanding pistol. I added GT-5000 grip tape, which I prefer even over Talon grip tape. I also added 17 round magazines with X Grip spacers, converting it to "full capacity" when needed. The magazine paddle should be replaced with the widely available and inexpensive larger version. For some reason, the P2000 never received the praise it deserved, but I bought mine recently (2022) and preferred it over the P30. For CCW I prefer it's heavier tripper pull but that can be addressed with an 11 pound spring.
I have the SK and greatly appreciate the simplified manual of arms. No confusing safety, simple out of the way decocker thumb tab next to the hammer. In DA mode carry is intrinsically safer.
Second this, I regret selling my p30 years ago, but i'm glad i came across the p2000 for a good price. I think its a better shooter overall than the p30 with a few tweaks. Alot of ppl talk shit about HK but theres definitely something different, kinda magical about them lol
P2000 9mm is a great pistol. Mine is a lightened LEM using a few parts from HK parts and the skill of a local gun smith. I like it enough that I am tempted to get another. Never see the P2000 in the store, true, only P30 and VP9. The p30 and 45c are also fantastic.
All the p2000s I've seen have been in the used gun section or at bass pro where I saw one that was new. I bought mine used and have never had any issues with it. I think its a better cc gun than a p30 because its smaller, but its not a uncomfortable sub compact like the p2000/p30 sk model.
I have a total of 4-P2000s. One is a 9x19. 3 are 40s. One of those 40s is now a 357 Sig. That is my EDC. It is about a perfect EDC. It is easy to control and small enough to conceal.
My local gun store had all the HK pistols, including the p2000. I think the p2000 in LEM v2, is better than all of them. Coming out in late 2001, as a USP improvement, it was on the scene only about four years, before the p30 came out. I think it would have been more popular if it had a chance to do so.
Yep, I use mine with a p30 17 round mag with an x spacer grip. Also have it milled (from wright armory) for a holosun 508t. Tlr7a fits great on it. Put the hk 45c extended mag release on it. Changed from da/sa to 4.1 LEM with the short reset kit. 10 lb hammer spring, slim slide releases, and suppressor height cowitness sights. I absolutely love this gun
@@Brianbo4 thanks for info, I know HK just updated their magazines now the original flush fit mags on the P2000sk hold 12 instead of 10 and the 13 round magazines that fits flush on the full size p2000 hold 15 instead of 13 now. Something they should have done a long time ago. I own a LTT p2000sk LEM 👌
@@Brianbo4I got my p2000 from a store locally it was a used trade in. I have no idea how many rounds it had through it before I got it but I put about 1,300 rounds through mine since March. I'm thinking about doing the gray guns short reset kit. It's a great gun I love it.
I bought a P2000SK as my first pistol. It's also one of the few HK guns I can buy on the California handgun roster (since they took off the USPC...the bastards). It fit my hand like a glove vs. The Glock 26, and the Glock (while a solid shooter) was too chunky for my hand, & too ugly for me to get lol. The P2000SK is peak 90s/early 2000s HK pistol aesthetics. They ruined the look with the P30 by adding those front serrations, imo. It's different shooting a DA/SA in a world of striker pistols, but I quite like it. Would definitely get a P2000 to compliment It's subcompact brother but I'd like to try out the DA/SA vs. the LEM version before committing to any one
@@TheArkansasGunGuy Yeah man, I was gonna move to Washington state, but after seeing what's going down there, never thought I'd say this, but maybe staying in California is actually better. My "CA-compliant" Ruger PCC with it's threaded barrel would be illegal in WA.
I carried a P2000 with the LEM trigger for several years and it is absolutely the worst trigger ever created. I bought one with a normal DA/SA from PSA this year and it is so much better.
PSA has them right now 10/16/23 for $499! Just got one.
Yep, bought one this morning from there, can’t beat that price w/ free shipping and HK rebate 👍
Have a p2000 in both .40 and 9mm. Favorite pistol of all time.
I think it is the best HK pistol in the HK line. My only complaint is the small little nubs it has for the magazine release. Hard to use.
Carried one in the border patrol. I liked it so much I bought one after I left BP but got it in 9mm. I am a big fan of the LEM trigger.

Same!! I’m looking!! Thanks for watching my channel!

Well done. My go to- P2k V3. It just works...

I’m obsessed with finding one now!! THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!
Just bought a P2000 as my first Handgun
You have chosen wisely, my son.
I have the p2k v3. The DA pull is a little heavy but after breaking it in Ive ended up liking the weight.
I have one , 9mm I love it, I have a VP9 and the P2000. The trigger is phenomenal it carries well, well made, i will have it forever

I got a p2000/p2000sk on this last drop H&K did for Ca. The sales were too good to pass up. Lookin forward for the VP9s to finally drop.
Ive only ever seen one P2000 for sale, and I bought it. I see P2000sk's occasionally, but the only full P2000 I've ever seen in person is my own.
I FINALLY saw one today - used - bit first one in three years I recall seeing. Thanks so much for watching!!!

It’s crazy how the P2000 is always overlooked. Eventually I’m going to pick up one for my collection. Thank you for watching!!

That Vickers Guide H&K Book Volume One tho. Hope you got our signed copy.
Absolutely the signed version. Signed by the HK legend James Williamson and that other guy! (:
Honored you stopped by

You say, the subcompact (sk) are uncomfortable? Or was that a typo?

Palmetto State Armery has them on clearance right now.
Dude - the price on that 40SW is crazy!!! Wow. THANK YOU for sharing (and watching)
I saw that and jumped on it. Wasn’t really looking for a 40S&W but I couldn’t pass on it for $500. I hope its not a disappointment 😂
Can the p2000 take p30/VP9 magazines? I feel like I see conflicting information on HK magazine compatibility lol

I own 8 lol
I disagree about the LEM trigger...I think it's horrible....much prefer da/sa.
I also prefer it. I hear it’s brilliant I just didn’t shoot it very well. Thank you so much for watching!
