It depends. Low seniority domestic flights don't give you much time off, but international flights do because you spend so much time in enroute flight that the company must give you more time off by law.

I have always lived in California.
The fires, the floods and droughts.
I always love my home state.
Even with talk about it isn’t the same as it was. Or “it is ruined.”
Must be talking about the big cities , California itself is still very much worth visiting.
I usually start my trips from Bakersfield, and run all the way up to Sacramento, then across to jackpot NV , then back home to Vegas .
Thanks for the awesome video Juan. Your joy of flight and aviation shows. Most of us can only dream of having the resources to afford the joys of flight like you do. I quit flying at the end of 2008 and the costs I find in aviation today have far surpassed inflation. My son is an airline pilot as well, but he is young and not into adventure flying. I really enjoyed your trip. I pray for rain and snow for all of you this winter. God Bless. Former C-172 and DA-40 driver.

Palisades Ski Area, formerly and always know as Squaw Valley to us old timers and boomers, opened this Friday Saturday and Sunday... they need a lot more snow to stay open for long...but it's a good start! Thanks for the fly along...

Palisades sounds like a good name
Officially and simply Palisades Tahoe. Nothing else. To be sure "Squaw Valley" or "Squaw" for short will remain the name everyone uses for at least another generation or two. If skiing/boarding is the topic and one says or writes "Squaw" everyone knows what that is. That won't change overnight.

Great shots of the Sierra Buttes! I stayed in Sierra City at Herrington’s a few years ago, and hiked the PCT from packer lake down to hwy 49 that time too, one of the most memorable hikes ever. Beautiful country!

As a recovering peak bagger I've only done bits and pieces of the PCT here and there.
A lot of bits and pieces but not too many in the Sierras, mostly in SoCal.

I left that place. Had a place in Mammoth and got married in Tahoe but the government has COMPLETELY ruined what was a great place to live
I miss my dad. He was a pilot and we did a lot of flying. He passed when I was in my 20s. i tried but life got in the way.

I feel your pain man! My Pop was an instructor and I flew with him a lot, but we lost him when I was young as well and never completed my ratings. ✌️
@@429thunderjet2 Small world. Sorry for your loss. Thanks for the comment. I tried right before he passed, in 83 or 84. I did my flight school first. Was starting ground school when the FAA doubled the flight time (or something like it) after a few years of new pilot deaths in the early 80s. I was told I had to do more flight hours and I was tapped. I have some of my VA bill left. I should go to a local school and ask.

"Palisades Tahoe" the crazies are incredible.
No craziness, makes perfect business sense. Now that they won against the tree huggers and have a new lift to connect their two ski areas, the name change couldn’t have been timed any better.
