Never had coho salmon before since it’s illegal to keep in California. How does it compare to king salmon meat?
Coho is good but it's very, very dry. Whereas Kings are oily and moist. I prefer King but I like Coho too.

why is the guide setting the hook then passing off the rod to the client
I have seen rookies snap the rod attempting to set the hook when it hasn’t popped off the downrigger yet. Could be one reason
