POI will hit that big tree sometimes. Or happened to me recently. POI circling was working well round a historic building, but when it came to trees, it just didn't seem to recognize them and team into foliage. Fortunately it wicked and regained poise. I had to take manual control and look around to rescue it.
Interesting to see that you have to change altitude manually when in spotlight mode. I would have bet that the drone adjusts altitude automatically because it obviously senses that the vertical distance to the tracked subject is changing. Maybe that is another point that could be improved with a future firmware update.
Spotlight has always been a manual flight mode. I think, if you wanted the drone to adjust height, you would just use Active Track. Hopefully DJI will make Active Track flights more adjustable.
When in POI mode and the drone maintaining altitude at a certain height, is the high calculated based on the height between it and the car or sea level kind of thing. I guess what I am asking is, say you set the start height at 100ft, as you go uphill in your car does it maintain the 100ft difference?
I've never used POI going uphill. It would probably depend on hiw fast you are moving. When I tested the MA2, it would stay relatively at the same distance and height on a flatter road.
I just tried the active track for a boat and I was having a lot of trouble keeping track of the boat, it kept tracking the waves behind the boat after a few seconds for many different boats, and it was very stressful how do I fix this and what am I doing wrong??? I was using spotlight also , Someone please help and thank you so much in advance!!
It's hard to say without seeing a screen recording. Make sure all of your settings are set to Auto. Is the boat icon at the bottom of the tracking rectangle? What mode were you in, Normal or Sport. Normal mode will only track up to about 16mph. Was there a lot of wind? Was it cloudy or bright sunshine? There are a lot of factors that affect Active Track.
VERY good Thank you.

I wonder if you set it behind you, you could drive in 3rd person with a better visibility.
Mavic 3’s an aerial beast!!! Lovin’ the updates!
It keeps getting better.
Looking forward to see more aerial content with these features

Interesting addition to the Mavic 3's powerful features

Hi.
Can you record in dlog in spotlight mode?
Not sure, haven't had a chance to use the new firmware.
hello-Thak you!insane content-see u around- ✋
you should do POI with car moving. It will follow you.
I ran out of time. I've done that before with the MA2. Works great.
If the drone was stationary in spotlight mode and subject started moving, would the drone turn to keep subject center of frame?
Yes it will always keep it in center
Nice review
