I'm in between should I purchase the upgrade or not. There's really no major difference graphically and the other game mode doesn't interest me at the moment. I honestly feel like it's a cash grab and a lot of these games are becoming that, especially remakes or remastered. Idk. Yeah it's only $10 but this remastered doesn't sit well with me...
$10 upgrade, I’ll be doing that. Bought the game when it first launched and instantly loved it more than the first. The controls and combat are just leagues ahead, and the story somehow got more depressing. Love this series, I always look forward to see how much more sad it can get, just like the Game of Thrones franchise
I just paid the 10 for ps5 remastered ..I beat this game when it came out on launch ..looking forward playing it again ..I think it’s worth the 10 ..awesome game ..
I was initially going to replay the game last year, but when I heard rumors of the remaster, I decided to hold off. I'm glad I did, the AU$20 upgrade seems a bargain for the additional content offered and work that's gone into upgrading the game.

Exactly. I’ve already completed the game twice on ps5 and I will be playing it again. I’m really looking forward to the no return mode and the lost levels. I loved the part one full remaster on fidelity mode.
A small but very noticeable difference between this game vs others is you can see your reflection in mirrors on this game. It's not that big of a deal but it is pretty cool.
I love The last of us one and two so much. Really my favorite games of the PS4 and still on the PS5 i guess. Love the story and the games so much that i was really disappointed in the series on HBO. They started good, but had some weird changes in it, way to less infected and missed a lot of stuff from the games. I have pre ordered the complete physical version for the PS5 even though i own the PS4 one. Usually i never rebuy games but this is an exception :)
I'm looking forward to it. It's a good deal and I'm excited to try it out again. Haven't played it since around it released. Gonna try the play it on survivor or grounded mode this time and perhaps go for the platinum. I'm also looking forward to try out the rougelike mode.

I did not play any game on PS5 yet that is as good looking as this game was on PS4 Pro. Even the recently released Alan Wake does not look this good. Every time I see “The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered” on UA-cam, I can’t help but wonder why they call it “remastered.” The only real upgrade is the resolution to 4K, and the PS4 version still looks amazing. When “Death Stranding” came out for PS5, it was called “The Director’s Cut,” and the same goes for “Ghost of Tsushima.” TLOU Part 2 isn’t really remastered; it’s more like a Director’s Cut. Do you see what I mean? According to Digital Foundry, the performance of the remastered version is exactly the same as the PS4 version patched for PS5.

Sorry but yes you will have to re-buy the game digitally. If you own the disc version its required that you insert the disc into the PS5 every time you play.

The characters, gambit challenges and encounter types are the main "permanent unlocks" in No Return. There is no weapons or skills that carry over or anything like that. Here is everything you can customise with the custom runs: encounter types, gambits, dead drops, work benches, trading posts, timers, enemy types, boss encounters, the amount of active mods during encounters and mod types. It became soapbox on which people could espouse their politics, so now there are hardcore fans that will say it is the greatest game ever, or people saying it is woke garbage. In my experience people tend to not like it when their favorite characters die, and that usually comes with negative reception. Joel was a beloved character, so I am leaning toward the side that the game generally wasnt well loved, thanks to him being killed. Im guessing that how well the remaster does will be a clear indication of that, especially so since people already know clearly what happened in the game by now. If the remaster does poorly, then people really didnt like the game, if it does well, then it was well received. Although the activist who want to promote the message will probably buy multiple copies just to confirm their bias, so I think that will probably create a biased result especially since the opposite side cant counterbalance that in anyway. What are they gonna do, not buy the game more?
I went into TLOU2 believing the " Sheep " all bleeting together about the " Woke " storyline and daddy Joel dying... Thankfully I played it at launch and was completely blown away. Nothing is woke. The writing is truly outstanding. And to me Joel dying brutally didn't surprise me at all. He had it coming. Jarring at first playing as his killer but once you find out what she's about and why she killed him you're routing for her. A remarkable game.

Vengeance killing is never justified, nor is it ever the path a hero takes. It is always the path a villain takes. What if that person they were hanging was black, would you still root for it? That is exactly what happened to Joel, a group of people got together and lynched him, and you rooted for it... His selfishness ( understandable as it was. Against his best wishes he got close to Elle. Daughter vibes he tried desperately to avoid given what happened to his daughter. ) Going back for Elle and killing the top surgeon and only guy who could find a cure. Abby's dad too. A nice guy who loved his daughter. Led to there being no cure... because he couldn't face the dreadful heartache again...a terrible dilemma he had. But he chose wrong...and Elle told him that. Elle throughout TLOU2 was even worse...at one point killing a heavily pregnant woman... The brutal Elle Vs Abby fight at the end I was siding for Abby...I couldn't believe what I was thinking but there are no good people in TLOU2. All are killers. It's a game aswell so there's nothing wrong with me...or you. Think about that and the philosophy running through TLOU2...those who seek vengeance dig two graves. I rest my case.

We know that to be evil regardless of the reasons for the lynching, because lynchings are not just, nor is any type of vengeance. Alan wake 2 looked amazing. Almost as good as Last of us 2. But graphically, Demons souls remake takes the cake. Best looking game on PS5

It’s worth a 10 dollar upgrade but unless you’ve never played the original on ps5 then no. You can play it at 60 fps 1440p on the ps5 right now.
It already runs at 60fps. If you ignore all the cut scenes its a great game and beautiful graphics/gameplay.
The no return mode is challenging and fun and addicting
