Totally agree with your comment that scribing is good, just in very specific situations. For class masteries though, the necro class mastery is the only one that is somewhat useful imo. On necro tank. I feel like it lets you drop flare and still have 100% uptime deaden pain/major protection. Im using it on ulfsild contingency shield-class mastery-minor protection. Missing the 8% mitigation does sting though.

It looks interesting for plugging gaps in class toolkits so that it may no longer necessary for Vet progress groups to have to bring specific classes to create a "perfect" dungeon group. Example, Templar has no source of vulnerability. Im using Ufilds AOE with magick damage, damage dot and vulnerability for my 1 bar solo templar. Replaced barbed trap which Ive never been overly happy with, its been very nice to have in general and great to have a guarenteed source of AOE vulnerability when going into random dungeons. Was thinking about giving it major breach for an aoe breach, since fake tanks are here to stay, gonna play around but these inks are too rare.
For Templar healers, instead of ele drain, you can use radiant aura for are magsteel and then use soul burst with pull and breach. 2 spells with cost to replace one, but it aoe vs single target.
I'm not a Healer main, but it's been ages since I saw anyone use Elemental Drain. Susceptibility is the current favourite by a landslide. But you're thinking along the right lines (careful using a pull though - most Tanks will get very grumpy, and rightly so).
@NinjaPulls , I've only played for holiday events the last couple of years. I didn't know they had changed the other morph of ele drain. Still after reading your comment and looking at the skill now, a scribed skill can add those effects, too, so my original is still viable
@NinjaPulls , also after double checking the skills text, susceptibility doesn't apply minor mag steal, which was half the point of ele drain. So if people don't run ele drain anymore, then what is their minor mag steal source now?
@NinjaPulls , I actually ended up making an aoe that gives damage, chilled/concussed/burning, and brittle. I also created a burst heal that restores resources and gives minor courage. Both on my Templar.
1. Magickasteal comes from Overcharged. One or two Arcanists/Templars in the group and you won't even have to think about it. 2. The debuff isn't needed anyway. Nice to have sure, but it's about 4 years since I heard a DD ask for it. 3. Because Scribed abilities MUST have 3 effects they're inevitably expensive. So you kinda need ALL 3 to be valuable for it to be worth using. This is why Scribing is amazing in specific situations, but no more than a shiny toy in other situations. Like I said, you're theorycrafting seems to be along the right lines!
How does the Nightblade signature script interact with shield/heal focus script? It seems like it specifically is worded to proc off enemeies. But if you have a shield/heal it seemingly would only target allies, meaning outside of specific unideal situations you could never getbtye additional crit chance. On the aoe abilities I can see it checking enemy health then grantingbthe buff to your allies, though i somehow doubt thats what they did, and since there are multiple targets how does it choose which target procs the ability? I assume it only would proc once and doesn't scale the resourve return based on targets. I've seen very little talked about outside of suggestions based on tooltips. I would test it myself, and have tried, but i dont know anyone that plays the game to test the effects on group members.
You missed a good combination with nightblade, if your able to slot ruffian ability to proc every time you throw your knife you’ll get 16% additional dps without needing to stun, knockdown, etc. an enemy. Along you can add minor berserk.
These numbers don't add up. You mean 15% from the Ruffian passive? That applies to any DW ability - nothing to do with Scribing - and is useless against bosses anyway. Also, you should already have Minor Berserk most of the time. Apologies if I misunderstood your comment.

Ahh hang on - you're talking about the Wayfarer's Mastery script. I thought you were talking about the DW 'Ruffian' passive in its original form. Now your comment makes more sense! Still, sadly we can't combine this with Class Mastery since they're BOTH Signature Scripts and we can only choose one. That's why I don't mention ANY Signatures besides Class Mastery in this vid. As for boss immunity, all I meant was that bosses cannot be stunned, immobilized or silenced, so the original Ruffian passive does nothing against them. Not an issue with Scribing! Hope that clears things up.

Yes, Nightblade is quite strong in PvP at the moment (though Sorcerer is a far bigger problem), but keep in mind that Nightblade is also weak in PvE right now. That’s the problem ZOS are trying to solve, and the reason they are tinkering with the class.

Being able to give classes what they are missing like pulls, speed, and debuffs are interesting. I wish they did not punish experimentation by making ink so scarce. 4000 possibilities but maybe 4 actualities until they become more abundant.
Agreed! They did fix the issue where Ink wasn’t dropping from bosses, and I’ve definitely noticed a few more drops since then. Hopefully it’s enough to solve what you’re describing.
I have a more controversial take. The new system is there to create a form of class hybridization. The sorc and the necro benefit so much from this. Same with dragonknight healers or nightblade tanks. Its there to bridge the gaps.
Oh yeah I don’t think that’s controversial at all. I definitely think Class Mastery and the class sets from Infinite Archive are extra tools the devs intend to use to tweak balance. I just don’t think they’ve taken that step yet - hopefully we’ll see more evidence of this soon.
Yeah the necro one feels a bit weird to me, I was thinking of using it after trash pulls as you described, but as you said, 10 seconds is quite short. And it would mean taking off one of my aoe damage abilities to get a buff *after* the pull for the next pull. Didn't think about it in archive, but that could be a lot of fun, I love necro and archive so that's a good combo :D
The problem is that it doesn't apply to allies currently, I use it as a tank because it can be useful I think, especially with necrotic potency but it isn't working with heal or damage shield focus script
I don’t think it will ever apply to allies. That seems contrary to how Class Mastery is designed. But you’re 100% right that this is a downgrade compared to other Signature Scripts.
@@NinjaPulls I don't think so personnally, it can be a great way to add unique buffs to the classes. Like, the more the DK is surrounded, the more weapon and spell damage it gives. It just needs some rebalancements.
Yeah it’s less interesting than the others for sure. On the other hand it’s SUPER simple (which is kinda on-brand for this class) and will pretty much always be useful unlike some of the others.
It’s actually a pretty fun quest and the skills are situational, but can be pretty useful. I’m not grinding. Just visiting the vendor and do a daily every now and then and I’ve already got the majority of the scripts.

I feel the opposite. Its freaking fantastic. Fills in the gaps of weakness and enhances some of the strengths. A few of these are even meta stuff like the pull from the soul single target ability. Even better than DK chains.
You’re both right. Scribing is pretty amazing - it’s big and broad and very versatile, and it ticks off a BIG thing that’s been on the wishlist since launch. However, it’s so carefully constructed so as not to add too much power that many players feel underwhelmed by it (at least in group PvE).
There are some strong ones for pvp. But yeah most options are lacking because most of the time either the 1. Or 3. Option doesn't fit with the vision of the skill

Yep, this is pretty much what I say in every video. To those who wanted game-breaking spellcrafting, this is very meh. But players who wanted flexibility and customisation, not a new broken meta… they’re having a blast with this. I’m kinda in the middle, but very glad it wasn’t too disruptive.

Being someone who still struggles to even undestand how to play PvP reasonably well, due to how impossible it is to know what's going on with all the different build options and cosmetics that hide your equipped gear etc, I'm glad that it seems to not have too much of an impact overall (so far). But... The sheer ludicrous levels of farming necessary for this new chapter, and the rewards that come from it? Just an absolute let-down nonetheless. If you don't have several characters at decent levels this will literally take you months. And 500 ink cost for some colours? The fuck. The only positive this has made for me is that it's had me running around all over the world doing dailies, which I actually enjoyed. Got me to experience content that I otherwise never would have bothered to tap into. Anyways... Peace out!

Yeah you're not the first to say this, but I'm surprised by the reaction. Class Signatures are all quite low-key (for balance) but Arcanist is arguably the best one! It's always valuable and unconditional, unlike many of the others which are highly situational. On paper it may seem a bit mundane and simplistic, but that's Arcanist in a nutshell.

Brother you have no idea how powerful the dk one truly is when put into the correct build in PvP
warden one is also really good for pvp if you use hrothgar, charm acts as a reverse fear so it procs stun which procs hrothgar

I’d still encourage checking it out - the story is interesting and the skills are fun. There’s just no need to grind anything.

PVP’rs have to wait years on end for ANYTHING. It’s always backpacking off of pve.
