The location that this movie is set in just screams sweden, many scenes from this movie are direct copies from places in sweden so being a huge miyazaki fan, i couldn't ask for anything better.

Miyazaki is a fan of Hansa architecture apparently and i havle felt the same. Most of the buildings remind me of Northern Europe. However, not a single mention of ethnic or religious differences one could see 😉

WOW!!!!! I first heard this song as 'L1002_03.MID' from a demo disk for the Roland SCC-1 Sound Canvas ISA card back in 1993. I had just assumed it was made by Roland Corp. for the demo disk. It was always my favorite and sounded fantastic on that hardware. That said, this orchestral version is fabulous!!!
I looked that up and its pretty cool to be hearing the song in midi too. God bless!
