I remember watching this in Australia and going to the CD shop (that’s how old I am) and desperately looking for this band ‘Muse’. Showbiz (great album but not a patch on OOS) was only available and I couldnt obviously find this track. I went back every other day for weeks until OOS was finally released in Aus. I still remember the feeling of the hearing the piano intro start for the ‘second’ time when I put the CD on. My mind was officially blown.
I remember watching this as a 15 year old kid and it blowing my mind. Literally one of the most important things I’ve seen on TV in terms of shaping my love of music
I was a 17 year old doing a shift at my local pub with Top of the Pops on in the background. Despite the legalities of the situation....... I will never forget the WTF reaction of the locals to this.
This is what got me into Muse too, those were the days, going crazy in the car with the stereo up LOUD. Complete performers in every way, and for a 3 piece it's even more impressive.
1- I wasn't expecting the randomer break-dancing on stage 2 - I wasn't expecting Chris to sit on him and carry on playing... 3- I wasn't expecting Matt/Muse play a stadium date-style performance on a televised program... :D gotta love 'em.
