Cain is a metaphor for all evil. They can't get over ego and need wealth because they're just running on internal emotions and there's no way they can ever get better
The ancient root of the name Cain is "possession". The fact that the nomad cattle herding Abel is killed by the farmer, sedentary Cain (farming means the possession of land and a surplus of food that brings social division and casts) also represents the process of civilization as a violent process. It's more a story about the violent origin of our civilization than a soap-opera about jealousy between brothers.
I didn't know that was the meaning of the name. It is fitting, because Cain was possessed by Lilith. She had control of his life path. He was a possession.

@@batgurrl well, to be completely honest, it's a mystery that will never be solved. Nobody will ever know if any of these stories actually happened. If they did, they are in the past. So, we can't go back and see for ourselves. You just have to decide for yourself what to think. But, I can't personally disagree with what the other person said. People say nowadays that God is love. It seems to go unnoticed that Gen 4:25 says that Seth is seen as the replacement for Abel; but Gen 5:3 says Seth was born when Adam was 130 years old, and Gen 5:4 says Adam had other sons and daughters. If Adam and Eve had several sons and daughters, it would only make sense to call Seth "another child instead of Abel" if his birth was near to the time of Abel's death. This would put Abel's death near 130 years after Adam, and if they were truly being fruitful (Gen 1:28), Abel could have been over 100-130 years old at his death. In that time there could have been not only a multitude of other children, but a few generations as well. This would answer the question of where Cain's wife came from (Gen 4:17), why Cain fears being caught by others (Gen 4:14), and why Cain would build a city (Gen 4:17).
The video keeps saying, or hinting that Adam and Eve there only had 2 daughters and 3 sons. That's just not true. Genesis 5:4) And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: Genesis 5:5) And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died. A man and woman can have a LOT of "sons and daughters" if they live for 900 years.
Yeah, and then you have narratives that these daughters were only born after Seth. Cain and Abel should already be at least 20 years of age, so unless Adam is practicing family planning, we should expect children after Eve was ready to get it on after giving birth to Abel. The text also did not say if there were already other daughters after Cain was born.
Adam and Eve didn’t have daughters till after SETH was born.. Cain got booted before Seth was born.. and had a wife decide Seth was born.. and told God that people will kill him.. all BEFORE SETH WAS BORN.. So.. even with all these things the Bible says.. Christians will still think Adam and Eve were the first humans..😂😂 Everyone.. ADAM AND EVE WERENT THE FIRST HUMANS.. They were the first people God called into a covenant relationship..!! God didn't like Cains offering because it wasn't the first fruits from his grains, whereas Abel gave God his first fruits (baby unblemished animals) Cain didn't care.and that's why God said nay to his offering. When Cain was banished there were other children Adam and Eve had. Also I believe there were beings before Adam and Eve.
God cursed the ground in telling Satan that he was cursed to crawl in the dust. The ground was cursed and Cain was Satan's son. God could not accept Cain's offering no matter how good it was. And it WAS good. But God could not accept it. And it made Cain angry because he tried his best. And God took Cain aside and (paraphrasing here) said, "Why the long, sad doggy face? Don't you know that, because you are of Eve and Satan, you are always going to have a duality, a push me-pull me, aspect to your nature. And it is up to you to overcome it. (Like we are told about ourselves today.) Cain did not overcome it and murdered Abel. Abel was not of Satan. Notice how God told only Cain that he had good and evil in his blood. Cain knew who he was. When, in response to God asking the whereabouts of Abel, Cain responded, "Am I my brother's keeper?" He wasn't being flip. He was hurt and making a point in asking, "Is he really my brother?"
First fruits from his grains? I guess you never raised any grains. All grains are the first fruits as it’s harvested at once at a mature state, even the early wild varieties. Animals, you can harvest young or mature, those who harvest their own livestock will take the young so to be more edible. You didn’t feed your grain to a mature animal just to fatten them up. Like we do today.
@@sarahwaters10sw okay Sarah, Cain gave God barley grain that was damaged by insects and kept the undamaged for himself. Not only was Cain a murderer, he also was an idiot. Are you sure there wasn’t a woman involved? Jealous over a woman seems like the motivating factor in the killing of Able. I can see Cain being a simpleton based on the accounts in Exodus. The Israelites just witnessed Gods miracles and a few days later were back to making a golden calf to worship that never produced any miracles for them to see. God gave Cain a great body and physical strength but made him a simpleton just like the Israelites.

And then there's variations in Christian denominations that go back to the very beginning of christianity. The whole deal with christianity is that everyone can convert. It's open. Whereas Judaism is exclusive to people of that heritage. But, because everyone can convert, different converters worship based on their background. So you've got Greek Christians, Russian Christians, Italian Christians, etc. And they all developed different practices and wrote different things, starting from the very beginning of christianity. In his book The Annotated Bible, Issac Asimov suggested that the Cain and Able story dated back to the beginnings of agriculture and the conflict between farmers and herders. Lots of American westerns were about the conflict between cattlemen and sodbusters.
Cain and Abel, were the third and fourth human being on earth. How come, after Cain murdered Abel, he went and got married in a land called Nod, indicating that there were other human beings apart from the first four mentioned?
My theory is God turn adam into a female in looks and parts and then cain went off with that female. Cain eventually ended the life of the female and God turn adam back into and male and wipe that part of his memories. If you read Genesis word for word it clearly tells you that Adam was not the first man, Adam was MADE from something that already existed (dust). The first man and woman were created from nothing. (Genesis 1:28) "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the EARTH, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the EARTH" not the garden. After the 7th day, it only talks about thing that were placed in the garden in Genesis 2:7 the Bible says "And the LORD God formed man (Adam) of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul". In Genesis 2:8 "And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man (Adam) whom he had formed". So, what I'm trying to say is this is where the other people came from according to the Bible if you read it without applying someone else's theory it's right there in black and white.
Who is Nod? The bible says that Cain married with a woman from the territory of Nod. Who is Nod, older than Cain because he had daughters old enough to marry Cain. Who is Nod?
Where did all the other people come from to live in Cain's city? How did he get friends if his little nuclear family were the first people? I've wanted to know this ever since I was a kid.
Can't remember where I read it but the First People lived for a very long time, hundreds of years lifespan up until Noah, I believe. In that time, they had many children. It's thought that Adam and Eve had several children, including more sons. Also, Cain, Seth, Able (while he was alive) and their sisters had multiple children. Enough to populate their land over time.
Sorry but you have it wrong. The mark of Cain was indeed dark skin, but it wasn't a curse. The Mark was put on him as a means of protection. The Lord took pity on him, after he cried unto the Lord telling him that people will harm him, and the punishment was to much for him to bare. God placed the mark so that people would know who he was, but if anybody should harm him, they would get it back 10 fold.
Cain and his curse piss me off. God: For murdering the 4th ever human being you're cursed! You can't farm anymore and must live as a fugitive! Cain: Nooo, its to hard! I only killed my brother! Being a walking drought might get me killed by all the other people that shouldn't exist yet! God: Don't worry, I've also granted you a broken damage reflect buff so no one will dare touch you. Don't forget though, you're being punished to live like a fugitive! *Cain immediately takes a wife, has kids and becomes the mayor of a city of psychopaths* What a great punishment...?
Really, the most interesting thing about the story of Cain and Abel should be the fact that it shows that Jehovah is completely incompetent and impotent in his judgment and punishment. Jehovah's punishment of Cain involves him being a "wanderer". However, five verses later, Cain creates the first city. How can you be a "wanderer" with a city? Was the city on wheels or something? Genesis 4:12 when thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth. Genesis 4:17 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. Another interesting factoid regarding the Cain and Abel story is that Abel was supposedly raising and killing animals at a time when Jehovah had not yet given humans the permission to eat meat. In Genesis 2:16 Jehovah tells mankind he can eat plants. Jehovah doesn't tell humans that they can eat meat until Genesis 9:4 when he tells Noah that it is OK. So, how the heck did Abel decide to kill and roast an animal as a sacrifice when the idea of eating meat wasn't even an option for people? Also, why the heck would someone be a herdsman when you couldn't eat meat? Was he raising sheep just for wool? What was he eating? Did Abel have to get all his food from Cain? Genesis 2:16 And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: Genesis 9:4 Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; as the green herb have I given you all
Looking at actual science, 6000 years ago all people had eyes of shades of brown. Then there was a mutation. This individual had the first blue eyes. I think that in a region where face covering was an evolution of dress in response to the local environment...this makes more sense as the Mark of Cain. The Bible says that the mark could not be hidden and that Cain's children would also bear the mark. Green eyes are also a result of this genetic mutation. Please note, I am not being prejudiced against blue eyes. I have blue eyes myself. I love stunning eyes of any color.
~ To make it short & tweet: Herbivores & Carnivores have always been adversaries. Cain the first-born was primarily a farmer, thus a herbivore. Abel the second-born was a hunter, thus a carnivore. As in all previous evolutionary history they were adversaries. ~ Because Eve was the original sinner, she carried the sin of disobedience, so Cain as the first-born carried this original sin. After Cain killed Abel, Seth the third-born was born, but he was an omnivore, so his lineage of ancestors is still with us. Jesus was a direct descendant of Seth. ~ Omnivores are more adapted for survival than herbivores alone or carnivores alone.
If you think that story is disturbing wait until you hear about Adam & Steve, Eve & the snake. It was the original Aristocrats and that is why the text was hidden.
An old TV movie I saw once actually suggested this very thing. I wondered where they got it in the movie. The movie actually showed Cain taking back some of his harvest from his offering. I didn't remember that in Genesis.
Keep in mind the context of the Bible, particularly the old testament. This is the story according to the Hebrews. There are several stories from other cultures that pre=date this Hebrew book. If to take the Bible literally man has only been on the Earth for 6000 years. We know this to be totally untrue. However, this may be how long the Jewish people have been on earth. They did not know what the whole world was. They had no concept of what we know as the Americas, Australia, or probably much of southern Africa or the northern most parts of Europe. So, the world, to them is what we know as the middle east, north africa, and southern Europe. Also, people need to become more familiar with the gnostic texts.

First off, in order to understand both Abel and Cain offerings; both their occupation and the nature of which Cain was conceived has to be understood first. Cain was a product of an illicit/forbidden/unholy union that wasn't approved by God in the first place. Moreover, the offering wasn't accepted by God because the attitude/behavior(spirit)of Cain reflected that of his father the Serpent who was also envious; an apparent unpleasant quality trait. Cain symbolize the "fruit" that originated from the forbidden tree of knowledge that symbolize the Serpent that tricked and seduced Eve in the Garden of Eden.
If the composition of the Bible was edited in the order of actual historical events, the anecdotes before the appearance of Abraham's anecdote are not Jewish history or the history of the Canaan region. In particular, if it is before Noah's great flood, it would correspond to the early Sumerian civilization or the previous Ubaid culture period. It is visible. In other words, it is a narrative of the process of change from the Neolithic Age to the Bronze Age. This would have been a process from a hunter-gatherer period to early pastoralism and then to agriculture. Among Mesopotamia, some densely populated areas in the Fertile Crescent region of Euphrates, Tigris, and Duganssa urbanized, developed agriculture, became wealthy, and developed military systems to defend against external invasions or annex surrounding territories. On the other hand, the residents of areas that were far from the two rivers of Mesopotamia and could not enjoy the benefits of the rivers were unable to lead a settled life and settled agriculture, so they led a nomadic life and believed in primitive shaman religion because it was difficult to live a stable life. Primitive nomadic life was not able to secure sufficient products and was highly dependent on the plunder economy, leading to frequent plunder of neighboring agricultural countries. Among the looted items, not only food materials but also the plunder of brides for the propagation of the tribe was an important task. Before an important plunder war, a ancestral rite is held for success. If the plunder is successful, the ancestral rite's prayer has been answered, and if the plunder fails, the ancestral rite's prayer has not been answered. In Sumerian mythology, there is a myth that two brother gods, the god of agriculture and the god of herding, proposed to the goddess of beauty, and the goddess of beauty accepted the marriage proposal of the god of herding instead of the god of agriculture. In other words, the nomadic tribe plundered the brides of the agricultural tribe and took them as their wives, which means that the Goddess of Beauty accepted the shepherd's ancestral rites rather than the farmers' ancestral rites. However, we can infer a situation in which the powerful soldiers of an agricultural people with powerful military power retaliated against the nomadic people and ended ethnic cleansing.
What is the source for these stories and theories? None of were there so how is it that a source exists that is able to detail events of that time? For example, how do we know about Eve's dream of Cain, and how Cain consumed Abel's blood? What's the source? This was thousands or even millions of years ago.
Also: In some gnostic mythologies Cain was corrupted because he tilled/cultivated from the soil; this was a sin because this was, something God did to create Adam, Cain's father (Adam was created/brought up from dust/earth). Thus this "action of blasphemy" corrupted Cain; it also echoed the Divine Counsel's warning that Man would become like them . When Cain had seen Abel's animal sacrifices pleased God, Cain killed Abel in rage and incidentally acted as a vindictive form of accidental sacrifice. When Abel's blood touched the soil, this elevated the blasphemy completing the cut-off of humanity from God; as man had been returned to the soil from whence he came. From that point forward God could take no more direct control over the fate of humankind. In the following mythology, all other "God" interventions are attempts at influence rather than direct control, and where re-written to give more agency to God and less to humankind in order to create a religious order meant to sway God's attempts to persist in intervention by engaging in obedience. In this version of Biblical history, humankind and God aren't on equal ground in regards to powers, but they are in regards to choice making; humankind having the ability to disobey.
In a Roman catholic school i went too. I learned that Adam told Caine n Able " too not marry outside the TRIBE. WOW CHAPTER 1. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IT CHANGED. OF COURSE THAT WAS BACK IN 1970
It was multiply and replenish the earth. That was the first commandment given to Adam and Eve. Then the next commandment was to not eat the fruit from the tree of fruit and knowledge. I believe and have always known that the serpent was Satan. And I always knew that Cain was Satans child. Able was Adams.
The Bible clearly describes why Cain killed Abel. Genesis 4:7 God tells Cain that he has to stop sinning to be accepted as Abel was. Hebrews 11:4 and 1John 3: 11&12 clearly declare that Cain was wicked and Abel was righteous. Righteousness and unrighteousness is clearly the difference between the two.

Do you have a video or any commentary that may tie Cain to the first genetic Sapien? Since his gift to God/the natural harmony was one that he could easily replicate in his fields, it wouldn't be technically a sacrifice. Abel on the other hand, if still embodying characteristics of Erectus sustain connection to the natural ecosystem would give a proper sacrifice, the animal in his flock that would disrupt the ecosystem. The part that is fascinating is that, if this is correct, then the first real sapien used his consciousness to murder, and we have been relenting that tragedy ever since. But it is through crisis that we can truly grow.Thoughts?
Regarding why Cain's offering was rejected, I'd say it was because he only offered the sweetest part of himself--the fruit and flowers. Abel offered all of himself, including the messy part that could kill if he didn't submit it to God. By denying his potential to murder, the urge to murder overwhelmed Cain from his blind side.
The speaker completely dismisses the fact that God never commanded, asked or required sacrifices to be made from Cain, if you want to know why Abel's sacrifice was accepted above Cane's sacrifice figure out why did Cain get the thought to offer a sacrifice to God from the beginning. You notice in Torah levitical sacrifices are of oil, wheat, incense etc as well as many fruits of the ground much like the dyes of the priestly robes are required and highly more required than blood or Animals. The oil that is produced from the fruits of the ground anoint the priests head before giving gifts for forgiveness of sins and peace offering.

The answer is so simple. Just look outside the bible to older sources. It's about hunter-gatherer vs. agriculture. This was a profound change in human culture that reverberated for millennia in myths and legends. And here we have the same again. Abel offers meat, Cain offers crops. He is rejected. The echo of of that long ago change and conflict. The second part is just psychology. When rejected by a parent, what does a child do? It rejects in return, mostly subconscious. The act of Cain slaying Abel is the expression of the rejection of this misguided God. Lets be clear, God created Cain. God made amends by giving Cain a mark that would protect him, making him impervious. He also blessed him with a long life and many sons and daughters. He made him the founder of a city. Shielded by God. There was no punishment except for the exile. On the contrary. God watched over him. Why? Well perhaps it has to do with the 'unnatural' agriculture being vital for mankind and God made a mistake by initially rejecting it. Though the Jewish God never seemed to quite get over his hunger for blood, the Christian God most certainly did. Blood sacrifice was deemed unclean and replaced by plant based offerings, giving of sweet aroma instead of the smell of burnt meat. Cain is akin to a Prometheus.
if people didn't know this then they've been taught by the wrong people. i attended a church that has taught this. be very careful who you allow to plant in your garden.
This is the error you get when you don't believe the Bible... turning to illegitimate sources for answers. The Blood sacrifice was a picture of the coming Messiah (God's firstborn Son Jesus) who would take away the sins of the world. Abel was showing his faith in Christ, while Cain was coming to God his own way in unbelief. Cain could have easily bought a lamb from his brother and brought the correct sacrifice. God even warns Abel in genesis 4:6-7 "And the Lord said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
This is all very true, but one BIG thing GOD taught me from reading this story in the Old Testament was that no matter what sin you commit, GOD will STILL love you and forgive you for it
I like to add the way Islam teaches us the story. It is said that Adam and eve produced many children during their 1000 year lifespan. Cain and Able were the first son, but they also had twin sisters each. A boy and a girl was born in morning, and another boy and girl would born in evening to Eve, each day. Thus continued for centuries. This is how Adam produced many children and the start of human civilization on earth. Caine murdered Able out of hatred, jealousy and envy. Caine had non-attractive look, was stern, had vicious personality. On the other hand, Able was kind, obedient and handsome. Caine represent the evil side of human, and Able the kind, sincere and obedient human. God created both. Nothing happen without the plan of God. Peace !
true. ELOHIM (the gods in plural or sons of God) made men in their image. That's why it says "and God said let us make man in our image". They may have mated. I'm unsure. Then El Elyon, The Most High God, formed Adam from dirt and breathed air into him. Adam was to be separated. That was the line of the Hebrews. Samael knowing this, wanted to anger El Elyon, so he perpetrated and penetrated the Garden of Eden getting to Eve. He promised that he would raise his kindgom to the Heavens.....Kingdom is sometimes known as nation or bloodline. He needed a bloodline here, so Cain was his seed.
Christians get upset with me because they have the dogmatic thinking that Adam and Eve were the very first man and women, not the begining of the line of Jesus. I remind them that the Bible is the history of Jesus Christ our savior, not the history of the world. If you reread genesis from that perspective, on the Bible and Genesis makes all the more sense.
It says "Eve is the mother of all mankind" so no other human growth before no body know because they don't tell you when and how many children born before Cain and Abel only 103 years old when Seth is born. That's a lot of children born if only 1 per birth and if you multiply any of those births ( perfect made so possibility of several children at times. That's a lot of children in a hundred years. Giving some people are ready to reproduce early let's just go to 15 years old and start that family generation it would not take long for the world to build large area for them to live and call them city . I know some people who grew up in a city with only 120 people so a city isn't always like New York or Dubai.
There is also the idea that Adam and Eve were the first two people given a soul by God, but were not the first humans. Therefore there were plenty of humans for Cain and Seth to marry and procreate with, without being incestuous.
This was a legend that taught the Jews to be nomadic...if you were tiller of the fields (Cain), then you had to stay in one place...If you tended live stock, then you could travel (Abel)...Because the early days of the Jews had them being nomadic, there had to be justification for this...so the story was created to give reason why they had to constantly move...
Did he mention that during slavery times christians were saying the curse of cain made cain black so that they can justify owning slaves? lol edit: Oh you did. GG. this is why black people arent mormons.
That's a good question. None of us were there so how is it that a source exists that is able to detail events of that time? For example, how do we know about Eve's dream of Cain, and how Cain consumed Abel's blood? What's the source? This was thousands or even millions of years ago.
If you study the history of Judaism you find certain sacrifices for certain purposes. The first sacrifice had to be a sin sacrifice before any other sacrifice could be accepted. Sin sacrifice was always a meat and blood sacrifice. I believe this is why Cains' sacrifice was not accepted. You must first be forgiven before being heard for additional sacrifices🌹

@dyrtyharry6789
Yeah…the Bible says some really stupid things all throughout it.
Nope actual person
The ancient root of the name Cain is "possession". The fact that the nomad cattle herding Abel is killed by the farmer, sedentary Cain (farming means the possession of land and a surplus of food that brings social division and casts) also represents the process of civilization as a violent process. It's more a story about the violent origin of our civilization than a soap-opera about jealousy between brothers.
Thanks for this on the board.
It's poetry describing how animals hit a growth wall and selfishly attack the outside world since they can't fight to grow
I didn't know that was the meaning of the name. It is fitting, because Cain was possessed by Lilith. She had control of his life path. He was a possession.

Genesis 5:4) And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters:
Genesis 5:5) And all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years: and he died.
Christians will still think Adam and Eve were the first humans..😂😂

And then there's variations in Christian denominations that go back to the very beginning of christianity. The whole deal with christianity is that everyone can convert. It's open. Whereas Judaism is exclusive to people of that heritage. But, because everyone can convert, different converters worship based on their background. Funny yet unique observation 😂😂😂
They were the first people, not the only people.
Cain had a wife and cain children where the other people.
The reason why am here
I always wondered about this “murder” that was committed before “the law”or the “10 commandments”.

Sorry but you have it wrong. The mark of Cain was indeed dark skin, but it wasn't a curse. The Mark was put on him as a means of protection. *Cain immediately takes a wife, has kids and becomes the mayor of a city of psychopaths*
What a great punishment...?
I love a good fable.
Genesis 4:12
when thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.
Genesis 4:17
And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.
Genesis 2:16
And Jehovah God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Looking at actual science, 6000 years ago all people had eyes of shades of brown. Then there was a mutation. This individual had the first blue eyes.
I think that in a region where face covering was an evolution of dress in response to the local environment...this makes more sense as the Mark of Cain. The Bible says that the mark could not be hidden and that Cain's children would also bear the mark. Green eyes are also a result of this genetic mutation.
Please note, I am not being prejudiced against blue eyes. I have blue eyes myself. I love stunning eyes of any color.
That would make sense

~ To make it short & tweet:
Herbivores & Carnivores have always been adversaries.
Actually there are 2 creation stories. Adam and Eve were not the first 2 people on earth.
What's the other creation story?
Start reading Genesis chapter 1 verse 26 that will explain it for you.
An old TV movie I saw once actually suggested this very thing. I wondered where they got it in the movie. The movie actually showed Cain taking back some of his harvest from his offering. I didn't remember that in Genesis.
That exact scene is in "The Bible: In The Beginning" directed by John Huston. Cain is played by Richard Harris.
I think that time runs different for us then it does for God (we know it took millions of years to make all this, yet it's written as 7days) so Adam and eve could've been in the garden populating for generations before the fall 🤷🏾♀️
No because when Adam and eve ate the fruit they on notice themselves for the first time as man and woman

Yes Abel was mentioned in Enoch 1, Jude actually says Enoch was a prophet and Christ also quoted the book of Enoch, and he only quoted scripture. So it is canonical (Enoch was mentioned in other places too)
What is Enoch?
Canon was only decided by government. Who knows who actually wrote These gospels? Some of them could be collections of various stories that different people told from different cultures. Some of them could be completely made up by a specific priest or nun who felt like writing things that were occurring to them and that they decided must be the word of God. And then you've got all kinds of different Christian denominations and abrahamic variations, muslims, jews, and christians, all with their own different Gospels. Who's to say what is Canon and what isn't? Sorry, I don't mean to be disrespectful. I just find it really fascinating but I do dislike how it's so looked down upon to embrace doubt. I think doubt is healthy, I think doubt is just an aspect of intelligence. Personal opinion

In the book of jasher it says that Kane was killed by his grandson or greatgrandson Lamech by accident with either a bow or arrow or spear. I also heard cain made a stone house and it fell on him and ended him abel died by being hit by a stone and so did cain
How long did Cain hit his brother? As long as he's Abel.
And people say that evolution is too unbelievable, whilst this account makes perfect sense!
The truth of matter that once tribe wanted to do Farming and the other raising animals or being Nomads! Or Hunter and Gatherers.
Maybe they both were supposed to be hunters and Cain disobeyed and became a gatherer instead.
The mark of cain was a birth mark which was place on cain. Placed on Right arm.
At last someone who knows the word, and not made up stuff
How was it a birth mark if it was given to him after killing his brother?
Cain called a birth mark after receiving it to cover the fact it was the mark of cain. Cain would tell anyone it was a birthmark I reckon.

GOD CREATED MAN N WOMAN IN THEIR IMAGE " WHY HAS GOD'S WORDS BEEN CHANGED? THEY WERE TOLD TOO GO FORTH AND MULTIPLY AND COVET THE EARTH. CHAPTER 2 THE CREATION OF ADAM.
Wow smart! was trying to figure it out for a white thanks a lot :)

Then you ought to read Michael Goodwin's Cain the Unknown Soldier novel. Interesting take on the biblical Cain while also being a great action drama read.
@@jadapandy Thank you! That sounds interesting enough for me to place on my procrastination list. In turn, I recommend Mr. Wagner's "sword & sorcery / sci-fi" creative license on "Kane". (Seems the unnamed curse in the bible tale turned out to be immortality and, he creates chaos wherever he shows and he has an interesting "mark"). Also tales of action and brains.
Where in the book does it say that?

It's true that Cain brought forth an offering from the ground.
And that ground was Cursed
It's interesting and without mistake that Cain is not mentioned in Adams genealogy. But Seth is, Abel is, etc.

Cain killed abel through rage of his sarfices being refused and he did not know that if would end abel
Cool opinion bro
Peace !
I was taught that God made man(gentiles) then God made HIS people beginning with Adam...man was already well established before Adam and Eve
Where did you learn this from?
Never heard that before
No that is false doctrine say Jesus is lord and God so you can be born again
That's a lie God made everyone from adam and eve

Killing for religion is something I don't understand
All you need to understand is that religion was created by men. Enough said.
You get to meet new people ...and have the authority of god to kill them...
History is complicated but if there’s anything that history taught us it’s that killing for religion is a common thing
