The funniest thing about fishing is that everyone in boats tries to get as close to the shore as possible and everyone on the bank tries to cast out as far as they can.
That's just where the bass are. What's actually funny is going past people bank fishing and catching a bass infront of them.

Tyler Brown I’m a bank fisherman and lemme say when I go to pressured ponds and someone is slinging a rattle trap out there and I walk up and cast probably 10 feet off the bank right in front of with a fluke and crush them it’s the funniest thing evet

Got nice 4# with big belly yesterday here in Ct. These cold nights are killing us. I'm on shoreline also. Jon will be heading to Maine next to catch that prespawn, might be 2 months from now.
We've been swaying like crazy, here, south of you in the Mid-Atlantic, Jessica and Patrick. The river levels and temps are so unstable, and even moderate sized lakes have had ridiculous +/- 7-10F swings from day to day. The bite is either totally off, or totally on fire... but getting better by the day. You're not far behind us. Hang in there. Big success is right around the corner. :-) Good luck to you both!

I live in Louisiana. In the summer I've seen water up to 92 degrees. I went to smith lake Alabama In march and water temp was 39. Coldest water I've ever fished in.

When travelling is an option again you should think about doing a trip to Papua New Guinea for black bass and monster barramundi. You won’t skim them across the top like a wet sock.

Judging by the fact that the lake is small and like 100’ low I’d say you’re fishing Mackenzie Lake in Tulia but you said you’re 4 hours away from DFW and that would put you around Abilene and Mackenzie is around Amarillo which is about a 6 hour drive. Maybe you’re at Fort Phantom Hill?

The restrictions vary by state at the current moment. Some places have directly addressed fishing, others have made fishing more difficult via other restrictions, then some are completely on lockdown at the moment. I couldn’t tell you which is where though, it may even vary by the county instead of just by the state

Boat launching is even happening, yet "Park amenities are supposed to be closed?" It sucks, but it's socially responsible to stay home. Bank fishing ISN'T Social distancing -- I was doing it wearing a surgical mask, but it just felt wrong.

It's pretty dicey. The policy is supposed to pertain to videos that are about sensitive subjects. And, you can't make this stuff up... YT's official position is:

Whatever that means. It sounds like they will pick and choose what vids are "about" COVID-19 and who can monetize. Jon's videos clearly are not about COVID-19, but I think he's just making sure not to broach a grey area and get into a spat with YT.
