Hey Justin! Awesome review. Was on the fence between this and the Gametoys Cloud. I would love to see your review on the GameToys FFVII line with Cloud, Sephiroth and the Hardy Daytona!
I have 2 issues with this. Obviously, the legs (boots to be exact) and the missing strand of hair on the center of the forhead (it was theree in promo pics). Apart from that, this appears to be a solid piece and I'm looking forward to receive it.
they improved the hair from the prototype images which is now closer to the video game! agree 100% proportions are spot on, face is on point, got mines in 2day :)
Can't go wrong with VTS toys. Not sure if anyone mentioned it before but VTS and Equaz studio are actually shadow companies of Damtoys, and as a military figure collector I can vouch for quality. Only thing that bites me is Damtoys prices are the higher end of 1/6 companies which translates over to VTS. For an unliscensed figure it really shouldn't cost this much. BTW have u seen the recently announced cloud by VTS with the sword sets?
Tidus is one of my favorite video game characters, and sadly the Play Arts Kai version (which isn't that spectacular imo) is the only one you can get, and the price on it is way high. If this company did a Tidus figure I'd pre-order it in a heartbeat.

I just bought Cloud Advent Children and Zack both collectors edition of these ones. It is still great as I do collect any Cloud Strife items. Waiting to obtain both the GameToys fenrir and daytona soon 😀 I'm missing this edition, hoping I can find a source where I can buy.
Hi Justin! I'm very late to commenting on this figure because I've been on the fence for so long. After seeing the latest Gametoys video of their Cloud I would say they've done an amazing job. The face on that particular figure is very nice. However, I do really like the beefy body on VTS' Cloud. It makes it look higher quality. I'm also really digging the tailoring of the clothing. All in all, for me, the only thing I like more with the Gametoys version is the face. I don't want to downplay it, it's a huge deal. Theirs do look more accurate but there's so many good things going with the VTS version and that base just sets everything over the top. I don't know, I just might pull the trigger on this one. What do you think?

@@JustinsCollection I would of got the one from The Mandalorian but I just didn't like the white color scheme of the speeder bike, so I figured Hot Toys would eventually do a variant of what they had in return of the jedi and I was right.
I'm still waiting for the GAMETOYS Cloud with his bike, which I feel looks more accurate than this one... hopefully. They also have Sephiroth, which hopefully will look great as well
I've seen people mod the boots to make him shorter. Cloud is only 5'9 so it's too bad they didn't modify the boots in the first place. The game toys looks more accurate to me and I'm saying that as a fan of vts
Cloud isn’t a real person, to get the proportions right they had to scale him up slightly. Also that height measurement could very well be without boots, nobody’s height is measured with shoes on
@@JustinsCollection if you check one sixth Republic someone named Fisher Steven fixed the height issue by modifying the shoes. Looks way better and more accurate. I'm going to get one now🙂 I'm sure gametoys will get this right too.
After the superior gametoys with proper height and more gave accurate proportions, I'm surprised vts didn't fix the issues on the AC Cloud they recently released.
Hey! Hoping you can help me as i can't find any else-where. I just received this figure and Some how the peg in his hand has snapped and now he's hand-less, I'd use one of the replacements but the broken peg has pushed all the way into the joint. I stripped it down to the Metal and saw it was impossible to get out, the entire arm is basically useless now. My question is do you know if the arms fully detach, so i could perhaps put another on instead? Pretty sad that It broke on Day 1 and desperately trying to find a fix. Thank you for any help!
There's nothing wrong with the length of his legs I have long legs. I'm 6'2 and not five seven but in 1997 I'm sure they weren't very worried about making the notes in a little booklet that came with the game match to scale with the little polygon models exactly they just drew some art, coded some models into the game, and wrote a little backstory in a booklet. If they remeasured him to scale with a real person he probably would be about my height.
..nice figure! Just bothered on his hair..I feel like it's a wig just put in top of his head..the upper part of the hair is thick..the face is okay though,not accurate, but not bad either..
I bet this review doesn't hold up anymore upon the released of Gametoys Cloud. All the game accurate and proper height scaling comments sure sounds stupid now. pretty simple, it does not scale if it does not follow the proper values of a 1/6 scale figuee. Height is height. 5'8" is 5'8" not 5'8" is 6'3" when it comes to a 1/6 scale figure.

He's right when you measure your height you don't include the height of your shoes I've had to go to the doctor's office right after work and he made me take my thick ass work boots off before taking my height.

Pass the play arts kai, gametoys looks more accurate, the face and hair doesnt really look like cloud except for the outfit. Accessories looks great though, also dont mind the size as long as hes in scale with his other ff7 companions if they make it.
Love the review but man This in my own opinion but this figure looks bad the worst for me is the head sculpt it’s looks nothing like the in game model the face looks so round but if fans are happy well that all it matters in the end

The headsculpt and hair doesnt look like cloud at all :S it's a shame bcause the base and the body/outfit it's really well done... But the head looks like Barbie's Ken doing a cosplay of Cloud

I cut a solid inch off the thighs and ankles and repainted the eyes because they were wonky on mine. It’s a great figure once you fix the issues.
