- OMG you guys! We are creating a classic look of drag. This time it's for the fellas. Thats right we are going to create an easy Drag King inspired pompadour that can be made and remixed a number of ways. Let's cover the basics and give you a little inspiration for your wig projects. Now this hair could also be used for a more butch character, or even trimmed and shaped to be very 80s also.

Loving the John waters vibe... I met him in the 80s in NYC in china town at a roof party. I so embarrassed myself. Lol. It was hilarious honestly. I told him desperate living changed my life. Back in the late 70s - early 80s, the Teddy-boy movement really tried to resurrect the greaser hair styles. Some of those pompadour-quifs were nearly victory rolls! Check it out, you may find a whole new "King" inspiration.

@@claremiller9979You're my kinda gal, Toots-- I want to be a Teddy Boy for Halloween this year! But I'll have to do the opposite of a drag queen and ADD eyebrows, because I left mine back in the 80's!
The 70's Teds were a trip, because they were like a Glam Rock version of the original late 50's/early 60's style; lots more shiny lame' and platform shoes, and just a smidge of eyeliner.
