I’m so happy at how beneficial the move to Vegas already is for Jaymes. Jaymes is killing it with the wig styling. She snatching all the wigs…and restyling them for money.
Yes, sometimes, you do have to be in the right location to get opportunities... I guess it's not always convenient for queens to send their wigs, or request to have wigs sent over, across the country.

I teach cosmetology and you might be surprised to know that we no longer teach roller sets! There is a whole generation of students who have no idea how to do what you are doing in this video.
At my school in the boonies we still teach roller sets lol
I'm in school and we have a few ladies that come in to have their hair rolled every week. We also do alot of perms so honestly if you know how to do a perm you can do a roller set I feel like
That does not surprise me. Seems like the basics have left a lot of different vocational schools for some reason.
I’ve been teaching cosmetology for 10 years. Roller sets are definitely taught it’s not so much the finished result it’s about setting that foundation and style into the hair. Rollers, pin curls and finger waves teach dexterity.
@@wrstler911 I've been teaching for 3.5 years. We seriously teach none of that. I learned it when I was in school. It's a shame. I'm glad some schools still teach it or the art could be lost.

I have a 3 ft alien I call Buster that I dress up and keep out all year by my front door. Well for his Halloween I got him in a tutu and Halloween shirt, a set of cat ears and an orange wig ( from Walmart for $6) . I put the wig on Buster today and I thought what would Jaymes do? I then stoped dreaming because there was no way I could make a beehive with rooted hairline out of this horrible wig. But it looks smooth and cute on him and Buster is living his Halloween fantasy.
I noticed Jaymes wasn't squeaking and much as usual and I started having withdrawals but then she did it towards the end and I felt better haha

I love how playful and bouncy the hair is!
So as for the question about the roller set, the way I've been taught is we do the front perpendicular to the hairline so like how Jaymes has in on the sides but rolled opposite directions depending on where the part is. Then for the back we actually do a bricklay pattern so the curls don't line up perfectly to create dimension rather than a single solid wave. And we can roll it all back instead of the halo (that's what I call the front) too though
First off they need to have Jaymes back on all stars I’d love to see a redemption season and see who makes it. And also they need to have a wig styling challenge just saying.

Roller patterns can be done in various formations (brick lay, designer wrap, etc.) but the really important thing is the roll itself. Whether it is over directed, under directed, or sitting right on its base can make a big difference to the end result.

Diana Dors and Joan Crawford's onscreen battling in Berserk is so good. Reportedly they didn't get along off-camera either. Also Diana dies in the exact same way in that movie as she did in an episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, and it was so gruesome for its time they wouldn't air the episode on TV.
