The reason the German army lost at Leningrad was because they pummelled it with artillery, and accidentally created the perfect environment for the Russians to defend it. The IDF have created exactly that same environment, and made it much harder for themselves, because, for one of the most advanced military powers on the planet, they're tactically incompetent. They rely on technology way too much, and don't have anywhere near the tactical ability or knowhow they should have, so once they get into places like Gaza, they're sitting ducks. Tanks are not of much use amongst acres of destroyed buildings, other than being a big, slow target.

The Allies were numerically superior many, many times over, not just in men, but in tanks, artillery, air power, etc. It took months and months to defeat the German garrison. Afterwards, everyone agreed that bombing the Abbey was very bad idea. The same thing occurred in Stalingrad, the city was leveled by the Germans, which greatly aided the Russian defense. The fact that the IDF, "The World's Most Moral Army," missed this speaks volumes about their leadership. IMHO, Isn't Real leadership simply wants to visit wanton death and destruction on Gaza and its civilian inhabitants, even to the extent that their own soldiers would be at a disadvantage.
