Nice flying. Did you utilize a flap the elevator mix? If so what was the mix?
This Manufacturer is not responsible for the problems that arise in its models. I launched a super electric Ferrari Viper with a 105 mm turbine a few days ago, the turbine stopped due to a failure in the ESC (Variator) and they say that I take care of the damages. Incredible the little seriousness !!!
I agree! I would steer clear of HSD. Mostly, it's the US distributor that has some serious issues. I am leaving this video up because it is a good flying model but it's not worth dealing with the distributor. I was sent the model for review by the factory. Both they & the US distributor never return even my phone calls.The best large EPO EDF models are made by AEROFOAM.
I just recently purchased a had Cessna 182. Nice looking plane and flies great as well.after four flights coming in for a landing and the whole elevator blows apart so of course the plane crashes. Got ahold of hsdjets in Texas and explained what happened. They said too bad and even went as far as calling me stupid and said I know nothing about plastic foam or building a plane. Blocked my calls and messages.great customer service huh. Andrew Davis is a liar and this place needs shut down
Unfortunately you are correct! I could write a novel regarding the problems with that Texas distributor. I would steer clear of that distributor.

My new HSD has plugs for 2 2000 2 cell lipo batteries. I have two new lipos at 20 C. I do not use retracts and only fly 3 minutes- would the 2 c batteries be sufficient. Thanks, and thanks for posting your videos. I have 3 L 39's and 3 MB 339 from Carrie at Banana Hobby.

Because of your help and videos, I believe I am ready to go with an AF black and red MB 339 Turbine ready. I am given a choice between a 60 SW 60 B or a SW 80 B swiwin turbine. Which one do you suggest - knowing I am not a fast or very expert pilot. I have an expert who will help me in the setup and flight. Banana Hobby sells the jet and the engine, and it looks as if that is all I need. Thanks for all your help.
@@eldestguy That's a great plane! I don't fly any turbine models, so I cant advise you on which to get... I pretty happy with the electric models:)

Repeated question, will the 2 cell 2000 mah work on 20c or would you go higher on the c ration?
20c is more than enough for receiver power. I use 3s on my AEROFOAM models but I don't know if yours accepts 3s?
HSD uses 2 cells and Aerofoam uses 3 cells, Thanks for your response and for all your great videos, I use them often for assembly and before my maidens, I wish I were as go as you!

I would, but I sold off all my HSD stuff & have switched to AEROFOAM for my 105mm jets. The SV is a good plane, just set it up with normal travel on all surfaces with a high, medium & low travel so you can adjust in-flight.
G’day Rich, just finished assembling my 12S SV, all I get when I plug in my 12S pack is a voice from the ESC saying “no signal”; I have checked everything out and this appears to be an ESC fault. Has anyone else experienced this and is there a fix other than replacing the ESC?
Any idea on the top speed of this jet?
Not bad, but for $1000-1500 would I buy more interesting plane than this. Or 2 new Freewing MiGs-29 which come now in october...
I would like to see Freewing make a big 12s plane. Anyway, it's not so expensive for the size. It is 1/3 the cost of any other 12s plane that I have. And only paid about $200 more for the Viper than the Mig.
I totally agree. Not sure why anyone would want this over the Mig or Eflite SU 30

@@daniellyons6178 I have a Viper and also Freewing A-10 (which is similar size/power to what the Mig will be). It is like any bigger vs. smaller comparison - the smaller plane is more convenient, but a bigger plane can be a bit of an adventure. For sure a twin 6s 80mm is closer to the mainstream market. I like the Viper OK, but everybody has their limit on expense and hassle. I look at guys flying a 1/4 scale turbine and think....OK, nice video, but not for me.
@@markdavis7397 This Viper is only 1.6m / 63in long! It's not a big plane.
