For us and i really want to be manga artist but then i searched in google it says that it is forbidden to create character that resemble the creation of allah is it really ok tho? Although my intention was to inspire youth to read my manga and inspire them to not give up and to lessen there sadness from some depression which will prevent more suicidal thoughts and make them think positive

I miss my fajr because I suffer from serious mental health issues and I’m on medication which is very sedating. For me to stay well mentally I need to get adequate sleep. I spoke with an Imam once regarding this issue and he said “sleep, when you wake up pray” I used to be ashamed of my health issues, not anymore as this is out of my control. Thanks to Mufti Menk I have found #DrTKHarris and his books are helping me in ways other books have not!

You need to take joy in the natural environment, walk with friends to beautiful places, find joy in sunsets and sunrises, cherish time with loved ones, enjoy the nearness of your spouse and share the vulnerable side of yourself. You know you need no higher power to tell you this. Learn to love yourself and your own frailness. Be unique, take pride in yourself. Learn a hobby, learn a new language, travel if it is safe, write a book, write memoirs, look after someone, visit someone, laugh with children. Bless your own one life on this earth. There is no need for addictive behavior because you will be too busy living.
My addiction currently is listening to Mufti Menk. I have an exam coming. I will listen to him all day after that Insha Allah.

Dear *mufti menk,* Assalamualaikum. I loved this video so much, I cant describe it to you, the ending was incredible. JazakAllahu khair for the excellent reminder!
*I have a request, please mufti read.*
Im in second year of highscool alhamdulillah and you know how teenagers are. I somehow convinced my friends to leave kpop and got them out of music. Because music is an addiction, and Quran will never stay in your heart if you listen to music. And, it will also drive you away from the remembrance and the dhikr of Allah. I mean, I see them, in every word I say whenever I'm chatting with them or text them, a word in the middle they'll take it and say, this is a song name or a singer's name and sometimes even start talking about it! What I want to bring out is, they remember so well, each and every line of lyrics of hundreds of songs, of different kpop groups, and obviously when you keep remembering so much in your mind it will come through your lips (pretty sure they memorized all the lyrics). Your mind won't be occupied with Allah's dhikr but the songs. And also, recently I heard one of the songs even chose musa a.s to include in their lyrics! The thing I want to say is, music is haram. And no matter how much different excuse you bring out you can never mix haram and halal.
It's an addiction just like smoking cigarettes.
Mufti, can you please make a video on getting out of the addiction of all these kpop groups and how to do so and also explaining the affects, not saying effects- I'm saying affects of music. And inspire us to get out of music and get into the Quran. Please mufti.
And surprises me when people are burning the Quran, calling us terrorists, and the kpop singers dont even know us! And we go crazy after them and call ourselves 'fans' of these 'idols' or bias.
Please mufti make an inspirational video on getting out of these kpops and how music is affecting and how to focus on Quran instead of music. JazakAllahu khair mufti I hope you read.

i was into kpop,kdrama,games (mstar game kind of like sims + music game with kpop songs etc.) i was terribly addicted! BUT slowly quit thanks to Allah when my big sis had her baby! i had to help her take care of the baby and babysitting and in the end i didn't had time to play anymore and i got bored and tired of the game and songs and finally quit Alhamdullilah now i don't even see the use of musics or movies! Also some of my friends died and i realised that i was wasting my time and wondered if i had enough deeds to be spared in the grave and on jugement day! then i started to look into my religion more and discovered i was making plenty of mistakes in my worshipping of Allah! So in the end Alhamdullilah i'm no more addicted to these!!! So i recommend you to find another occupation that you like very and slowly and surely Insh'ALLAH you'll be free from these time wasters! and question yourself more often if you have enough deeds to enter paradise and the things you should do or change before it gets too late! Ask Allah for help He always answers!!! Surat 12 part of Hayat 61

I don't agree with you. There is tons of music who are not vulgar, you just have to choose what you listen to ( not Nicky Minaj, cardi b or wathever). And it's not an addiction. I listen to music time to time, not everyday. Also, music is a part of every culture, you can not just forbid it!
And if you're talking about music, what about games, phone, friends...?
I'll say, you can do both. There is a time for Allah, a time for family, friends, study, and having fun ( halal ofc). The difficulty is having time for Allah before everything else, because Satan is always trying to fool us.

but atleast you will agree that Quran will not stay in your heart when you have music right? specially when you want to become a hafiz/hafiza. there are times those who have Quran in there heart cannot tolerate music. and also, i wasnt talking about vulgur songs, but songs in general. and what i mentioned was the case of my friends, they think and talk and fangirl about songs all day.

Much needed topic for today, Jazak'Allah for this! There are all kinds of addictions. One prevalent today is the very screen we're looking at now, the gadgets. Are we using it moderately? Are we spending more time on it than with our parents, spouse, kids, family, community, self improvement?
Are we viewing halaal materials?
Are we using and sharing it for good?
Are we mindful that once it's been posted, it is never truly erased and will stay on others mind.
And last but not least, we need to question certain types of pictures taken (and for sisters all photos of ourselves) and whom is it being shared with, where is it being posted?
Are we lowering our gaze and doing our bit to help opposite gender to lower their gaze also?
Are we pressuring others to take images?
Are we *breaking people's trust* and *sharing their photos around publicly* with non-mahram, especially worse around eid and wedding seasons?
Much needed reminder for myself first.
May Allah protect us from all this and make us stronger and confident in faith, to keep us firm on the straight path, aameen.

In occident parents put young babies watching TV so they don't disturb.
With smartphones or tablets since 2 or 3 years they play with that.
With 5 years they watch anything
Parents are guilty of that..
And they let their children to do
what they want.
May be there are muslims who has adicction because their bad situation (wars and poverty)
But a muslim person has very high moral levels.
It is not like occident and the new technology destroyed their lives.

I'm addicted to energy drinks, for the last 2 years I tried to stop my addiction but some how i went back to it. It annoys me coz my behaviour without caffeine is something and i can't control it. Inshallah Allah helps me and my Muslim brothers and sisters to stop their addictions

I did extremely well with avoiding my addictions for months and I was very content and happy. but I feel them slowly coming back to me I’m trying to stop but it’s so much difficult now. I’m scared of letting them destroy my relationship with allah.
Try doing salah or reading quran at that time you want to go back

May Allah protect us from people with no knowledge about music and games who will preach entire mediums are haram. To many people Music and Video games are extremely helpful to their mental state and encourage deeper thinking. Music comes from emotion and engaging with the emotion other people express only brings us closer to other creations of Allah, you have to listen to the music yourself to decide whether it is harmful or not, the same way you can decide whether a book is harmful or not based on what it is about. There are many roads that lead to Allah, let us not close all the roads except the one that has helped us personally come closer to Allah simply because of a lack of understanding of certain Mediums and how they affect people.
