The first jet was basically a Cessna Citation Jet.
I feel like the old 2006 passenger airplane is kinda like an old Boeing-707

Im not the largest plane designer in fact I’m currently working on my first large(ish) scaled lego plane, but if I may recommend using the newer shuttle piece for the nose, it’s been made in several colors. While idk how it would look accuracy, it may help with shaping, and that height problem y’all ran into.
Edit: I wrote this before I saw the redesign and while a plane with the shuttle nose would look cool, y’all’s are just so much better you guys really knocked this one outta the park

3:43 - That's a JetBlue A220. The little brother/sister of the popular A320 aircraft.
It features a 2-2 configuration instead of the standard 3-3 on the A320.
At also have a slightly pointier nose and more efficient engines (that newer A320s have)
It also only have one middle-exit instead of the two on the A320.
You might confuse it with an A319, which only has one middle exit.
But the A319, A320 and A321 (a longer version of the A320 with eights exits, four on each side) have a ball-shaped nose tip.
The A220 is more akin to a Boeing 737. Now you know.
That's JetBlue E190

@@AFOLTV You’ve managed to get a streamlined, aerodynamic feel to it. Thats extremely hard to do w/ fixed sizes of Lego. Also why most of us use the stock LEGO front end clip.
Your custom planes honestly are better than the actual LEGO brand, but I have a few suggestions that could make them a little better. I think it would be neat if you added various passenger jets, like an Airbus A321. You could also add more boarding doors, to accommodate a catering truck. Another thing you could look into is making cargo planes, with the large cargo bins that load inside of it through a large cargo hatch on the side. Finally, you could add a ground crew high loader for loading cargo bins into cargo aircraft. I know that's a lot of suggestions, but I just think these would be some neat additions to your aircraft collection.

Suggestion, on the final desgin, for the nose swp the nose pice with a 2x2 round dome piece for a better looking nose, in general but overall love the effort!

I think the plane's wings are too thin and too far at the back but its still good
We played around with a few variations, but brick built wings drove the costs up significantly (and the part count), so we opted for the plated wings... They have four layers total to make them thicker, but we are looking into more ideas for wings in the future!

Fyi, it looks like your American Airlines version just says 'America' on the side but should be 'American'
Love the builds. I think most serious builders hate the big nose pieces. Good take on alternatives.
It’s on purpose due to the trademark, Southwestern is modified too 😜

Cool design! Can you tell me what the program you use to design them? My almost 7 year old son is really interested to know what app or software that is as he would like to learn to design!

I wanna see someone make a custom Oceanic 815 plane based on the show LOST.
Have all the main characters be passengers but the only difference is that you can pull the plane apart into 3 separate sections. Cockpit, Fuselage, Tail. The same sections the plane falls apart when it crashes.
Am I morbid? Maybe. Would it be amazing and make me happy. Yes.
With the micro planes, do you do shipping to Australia and also are they pre built or does the buyer build it?
