Tamara Usatova - Work Song // Live On Tape

The next release of mine Work Song, originally by Nina Simone (again! 😅) is about jail, hard labor and suffering. But also unbeatable optimism, mental freedom and lightness of being.
And I can so relate. That basically describes my life (minus the jail part😅) and that’s why it has always been so close to my heart. I was supposed to sing this song in a suffering way, but an optimist in me sang it with a smile and irony, laughing in the face of fate. Might seem not appropriate but what can I do with myself? 🤦🏻‍♀️😅.
