This is my big chop natural hair journey!
I'll be doing more videos about hair care, hair growth tips, protective styles, and that later on. Today I wanted to talk about the story behind my hair. Every Black woman has a hair journey, especially if you have natural hair. For me that involved bullying in school, transitioning from permed to natural, some VERY anti-Black crimes when I was living in Russia partially because of my hair (that's where the TW comes in), and all the life that happens in-between. This is my natural hair journey :)

Whew!! That's so sad you were bullied like that.
yeaaaaa childhood was a tough time but I'd like to say that it made me hilarious
You're hair is gorgeous so sorry you were bullied you areca beautiful person you are a sweet person they missed out om an awesome beautiful person to be friend's with
thank you so much for saying this!
glad you got out of US and traveled!
me too! I didn't for a few years because of the trauma but THANK GOD for therapy
Im definitely interested jn eating for mybhair and yiure right about the climate and environment. Im from the uk, but spent three weeks in jamaica and had a good 2-3 inches growth... keeping my hair hydrated is my biggest issue because its just absorbs everything and goes back to crisp lol
My hair JUMPS in length when I'm in warmer climates. Hydration is key, and a hydrated atmosphere can be a game-changer for hair growth :) I'm temporarily back in the States right now and my hair is not happy at all
You & your hair are extremely beautiful! I’m so sorry you experienced those traumatizing experiences. Tfs.
Hola Bonita, is true about the food. Im from Panama, I went back for a month last year. Here I can’t be around dairy, over there I have milkshakes and cheese with no problems.
GIRL! The food in the States is absolute POISON and my hair isn't happy about it either. the amount of cheese that I had in Mexico with no problems was unreal hahah
@@shaynacondemy mom was freaking out, thinking we have to go to the hospital because I was having dairy. It was so crazy, also I didn’t need my anxiety medication.
Yes! I have the exact same problem. I gave up dairy in the states, because of the garbage they put in all the food here. But I'm not surprised that in other countries, the food is better quality and you can eat it with no issues.
Anyone that bullied you for your hair was just jealous. You have some of the prettiest hair I've ever seen. I decided I want to work on growing mine out. I have some biotin on the way actually🤣🤣🤣 so I appreciate the tip. If I suddenly look like a teddy bear, I'll know why
do you think you can go through your hair routine? i.e. wash day, whether you blow dry weekly, and if you avoided “regular” protective styles
I can definitely do that :) I just need to plan out my life a little but more haha
I'm a fuzzy girl too lol
I'm so sorry that all of this happened to you. 😡
I just started the video but i think being happy with your life and stress free helped to. I had to start over a few years ago for medical reasons but my coworkers hated that i had a giant head of hair. It was glorious ! 😂 i love your hair. Im working my way back.
joy and a addressing my stress levels was VERY big for me. as someone with medical issues too, i fully believe that our bodies want to heal themselves and grow so I know for a FACT that you're hair will grow back stronger and healthier than before :)
