Whose land are you on right now? Native Americans so when is white America handing that land back?
If Israel lays claim to land from 2000 years ago, surely North and South American indigenous people's, the first peoples of Australia and New Zealand should get their land back too. If it's a US principle that Israel should get the land they claim is theirs back, this principle must be universally applied.

@@jooj9420 And that's very important indeed. I agree. People (myself included) really need to take a deeper look from all perspectives. What we're fed by news channels is always biased (unless you purposefully get your news from from anywhere that might be remotely neutral & objective). The aim is hatred or some intellectual form of dismissal toward "the other side", and it largely succeeds.

There are a out a million Israeli settlers living in Palestine with no respect for Palestinian authority. The news calls this a war with Hamas. So, the two state solution only applied when there was a balance of power.

It's a beautiful film indeed, but you have the year wrong, when you write you worked on it in the early 60's. The year should be 1979, after the Camp David accords, when Israel gave up on Sinai in exchange for (uncomfortable) peace with Egypt. Also, the festivities shown at the start show a sign that reads: "Hurray for Tel Aviv 70". Tel Aviv was founded in 1909.
I'm writing this and sirens are sounding over the town in the North of Israel where I live and an end to this insanity seems further away than ever.

The way I see it is like this - Palestine has no economic, military, or diplomatic power, and thus change can only come from the outside, by other countries pressuring Israel, i.e in the west. Hamas just made the biggest mistake they've ever made by giving Israel justification to do ANYTHING they want, and most people internationally won't care. Lots of people just lost their sympathy for Palestinians, be it those from west bank or gaza (fatah vs. hamas). Strategically speaking, this attack was stupid BEYOND COMPREHENSION. I understand that Palestine has no power, and thus resorts to violence as it's only possible action, but this kind of violence only hurts the people of Palestine...

I think this is just going to get even worse with the internet and algorithms over time, as corporations profit from us feeling angry, and engaging more, leading to more profits. I’m not sure what you mean. These people are talking about their future dreams and peace, and it’s an old film from the 1970’s.

@@BlackSeranna The description says he made this film in 1964, but it obviously was made way after that. Also, this film has nothing to do with the Palestinians. It's an appeal to donate to the UJA-Federation. The words "Palestine" or "Palestinians" aren't even mentioned. I think he uploaded the wrong video for this description, or vice-versa.

Two beautiful peoples but share abstract cognitive dissonance. It's an uncomfortable state of mind when someone has contradictory values, attitudes, or perspectives about the same thing. It creates an atmosphere and vibe that is constant and grows exponentially. It can no longer be ignored. It also permeates the minds of outsiders who look inside Israel and have limited knowledge of the historical-to-present state. It causes people to take sides based on face value.

All the kids in this movie are now old people , maybe some dead and peace in Israel is these days farther than ahything . And the new situation is much to be blamed on Netanyahu who iresponsibly grew the tensions in the last years. Unfortunately. I am not jew but grew up in Bucharest in a jewsih neighbourhood . Studied languages and piano with jewish teachers and they where the best . Also everybody was ( how I was to discovere later ) much above the average citizen in terms of culture . My father being a doctor and also a very cultivated person was somehow fast integrated in this community and had great relations with everybody and the social life there was unique in it's ways . Unfortunately in 72 everything came to an end as 90 per cent of the families moved to Israel , as the socialist state took money from Israel for each jew going away . And we moved in a different house in a working people new neighbourhood as my parents bought one of this newly built apartments . Nightmare for me .The shock of a primitive society in which I had to adjust and survive . Fortunately there where also some german ethnics around and soon we had another micro society that was a reasonable ''survival kit ''. Guess I never really adjusted to my own country real level and ways of living due to my childhood in a different environment . Interesting . I miss the jewsih Bucharest that cathegorically had it's charm . Now that part and streets have been either demolished by Ceusescu and what;s left is in ruin . I still like to walk around on '' memory lane'' when I go there .

On day one Israel was landlocked. It was originally smaller than New Jersey, so how would Israel keep the young choosing to live there. Even now young people don't want to live their lives in a war zone. Over the last 75 years Palestine has just gotten smaller, with no U.N. involvement. It's obvious what the plan was all along. The disconnect for peace in Palestine arrived with weapons. This is a speciality of the U.S. The U.S. subsidized the fuel of hatred and still does $3.8 Billion. 💰

Ok my father was a peace keeper for the Irish fusiliers at the start of the troubles in the Palastine / Israel area . He said even at time Palastinians were lead by religious extremists and they did not want ANY non Muslim people living in that area . They got rid of so many non Muslim empires before this ever happened. And the religious leader of Palastine was very close to Hitler during the Second World War
During his time in Palastine . My dad heard " Irish , British; American infidels go home . " My father was only too happy to do so . And he also said " Europe's Jews will not get special treatment from them . If they dont like us , they definately will not like them. "

fun fact the native "palestinians" were workers from the british mandate their homes and family trees were hundreds of not more than a thousand miles away meanwhile any jew there has been there since they rediscovered their own ancient ruins when muslim rule finally lifted in the 1800s as the arab world began to nationalize allowing jews to also nationalize and return to israel with jewish families in jerusalem to haffa dating back to the kingdoms within israel today
idk how this was forgotten but even with saying "free palestine" the origins of that saying implies wiping out israel and theres no palestine state it was always syria jordan and egypt to divide israel up
