I can't get enough of this yawa! My late dad by then was having a wooden Sanyo radio and the truth is nobody else in our village was having such a good radio and I could listen to this kind of music in the highest volume! I tell you memories are made of this!
Old is gold. This song is not just a song but wisdom galore with sweet tuned rhythm. It reminds me the cool lunch time in early 1990's played in kbc radio station when Leonard Mbotela is in the studio. The songs like sasa ni lunch time tufunge magazine.' Those are sweet memories. Still fresh and will be listened from generations to generations.
Funny thing am born 2000 but I know kila wimbo rhumba adi za madilu zote ata zenye wanaimba na lugha ingine I find myself singing every song.... My friend do love, at me nikisema my favorite songs ni rhumba adi I used to cry but nikajua kila mtu na maisha yake na I live the life I want nikaacha stress... These songs have made me be, so mature than ata wakubwa wangu adi I do act as the first born

just love this song,it reminds me when i was still very young,my mind was still very fresh and i could cram every single word in the song and up to date i sing it as if i was one of the composers, long live zilizopendwa
Those who grew in the 80s enjoyed fine music. Frm Luambo Makiadi to Less Wanyika. Let it be remembered its same time Brenda Fassie and Chakachaka were killing it. I am lucky to have enjoyed ths with my buddies in Shauri moja Nairobi
I actually visited Nyayo stadium when it was newly opened ,all kenyan musicians were called to show case.. Moreno of orch moja one,Sigalame song, vundumuna, kenya blue stars of Magrate safari, Misiani of shirati jazz and even Kamaru..what a night is was.
Bwana Mboya, true, such stories also applies to some men. These are women that spread news to destroy good relationships. Especially the kindness the gentleman gave her the lift to turn to becoming something bad or a big issue.
vukoni ..i think you got the meaning of the song..its the MAN who gave the WOMAN the lift ,then the woman went round spreading rumors that the man wants her...the man did the courtesy of giving her the lift, she even went ahead and gave him her numbers...WANAWAKE WENGINE JAMANI...VITUKO HAMKOSI
Memories: used to sneak out at night see them play. Was too young to enter, so we viewed thru the windows. Very exciting momens. This when they played at the Shade Hotel. henrykiema
True bro. It was a prophecy. This song was released around 93/94. Mobiles came to Kenya around 98 whe the prefix was only 072. Not 0722 and to load you had to buy units at extelcom house. And the gadget itself was like a G3
Obviously these were numbers of landlines. Then the commonest numbers were office numbers, however, the rich also had telephones in their homes. This is a nice piece from the Wanyikas, thanks for uploading.
