I love working and making jewelry with my fairy and matrix opal. I wish more ppl would research it cause everyone I show buys it lol great video and work❤️
There are so many variations of opal and it gets confusing for some if they don't know or understand the varieties. Thank you for watching and your feedback.
Really nice! I’ve avoided cutting matrix in the past. Didn’t want to mess about with strong acids. I’ll have to look around for some honey matrix. Compared to solid opal, is honey matrix much less expensive, in general?
honey matrix from andamooka sells from 7.00 per gram upwards it often is not treated as it more often than not is stunning with out treatment, the honey coloured overall body tone is very appealing to some customers
@@joekalmar1085 I’m definitely one those people who like honey matrix, apparently. Haha. Will be looking around for some at reasonable price. Really appreciate the info. Cheers.
Thanks for the feedback. If you are looking for some honey matrix, we have a sizeable piece available on our ebay page. May be of interest to you.www.ebay.com.au/itm/144809586897
Can't see the problem. Checked your video and thought it was quite informative. Cutting was good. I understand the polish would be a challenge with conglomerate material. Well done, keep the videos coming. 🙂
Pity it cracked, lovely stone all the same. After crystal matrix is my favourite stone. I have to sugar treat then bake to treat, not found sulfuric acid anywhere in Tassie. Might have to order on line. Thanks for sharing.
I had the pleasure of owning a treated matrix for a short time. It was the type of stone you wanted to keep looking at. The title of the video is "Andamooka Matrix Kaleidoscope" The colour and pattern are accurate. Regarding acid, as car batteries traditionally contain sulphuric acid, a car battery supplier might be a option but it wont be in the ideal concentrated form of 97%. It will just take a bit longer to carbonise. I have stopped treating matrix because sulphuric acid is highly carcinogenic.
The following link is for a treated matrix I sold to a friend 15 years ago. Absolutely beautiful. ua-cam.com/video/gpbMNd_Jhpw/v-deo.html Love that pattern.
So precious. I like it a lot. Your video looks bright and the colors are great..thanks!
Thank you for your feedback. Andamooka matrix is an underrated for of opal. I am glad you can appreciate it.
