Thank you for that review. Well done. Had my Badlands Fanny Pack stolen from the storage unit at the condo where we live. So I am replacing it with the Cabelas one. I think it is a good unit.
I bought mine a month ago & I love it! It looks a lot smaller in the book, than in person. This thing is a beast! You can definitely carry ALL your hunting stuff, plus! You are right, hardly any reviews on this Fanny pack & it’s simple to figure out. I bought my grandson one because he liked mine better than his backpack!

Great review of this fanny pack. Like you I'm not quite so sure of those style buckles/hooks but I'm betting they will do just fine whether the latch/clasp is open or closed once it's synched down. Pack holds everything I need for my style of hunting

I'm looking at this pack as a option for a mobile setup would I be able to strap this on to a hang on stand?
Yeah I would think you could. Or you might could also wear the pack a little low and have the stand on your back. But I don’t have experience hunting with a hang on stand, so don’t quote me on it. Taylor Philpot with Revive Outdoors on UA-cam would be a good one to ask more details about it. He uses lone wolf gear and tests a lot of mobile hunting gear.
I’d say it’s not a Fanny pack if your wearing shoulder straps it’s more of a backpack. Just my thoughts. Great review👍
