Good video listing the gear ya take. I tend to pack heavy and "be prepared" but its a tough balancing act so the pack don't get too heavy. while I love the technology the phone and ONx provides, I still always stick the compass in the bag. And like ya said....every person is different. For the late season hunts, i always like to have my stove (pocket rocket with a pot) with me. Coffee or Ramen on a cold day just hits the spot.

Randy's videos are always great! I pretty much run all the same stuff. The crazy creek chair is great for a pad. It has a back rest!

As always, good stuff. Great idea to carry a tourniquet, but you might not be able to get to it in time if it's buried in a bag in your pack, still in the original wrapping. Personally, I keep my tourniquet on the left shoulder strap of my pack with a couple of pieces of duct tape. Worst case scenario, femoral artery severed, you're going to have 2 mins max to get the tourniquet on and cinched down.

100%. In case of an arterial bleed, you want your tourniquet accessible by both arms and pre staged for rapid deployment. The time it takes to pull it out from the bottom of your pack could be the difference between life and death.

I keep a Cat 5 on my chest holster secured by rubber bands. Worst case scenario I can grab it and break the rubber bands. I keep a 2nd in my med kit.

Heated mittens have saved me from frostbite in Alaska 5 times in the last 3 years. I use em as an emergency warmup, along with a Milwaukee heated jacket.

I've got a battery bank that has a solar panel on one side that allows it to recharge when out in the field. It works great

Another great video. I cannot believe you don’t have a roll of Butter Rum Lifesavers! Not even a backup roll of Wintergreen Lifesavers. How cold you be successful without them? Man up!

Great stuff Randy, just was wondering what type of cap do you have on your pick up? I always say if it doesn’t fit your pack, it will fit your pick up.

Wipes freeze & don’t burn. Makes them useless in the backcountry
