It was actually a good friend of mine who wrote this song. His name is Jamsesy Gouldie and the man to then go on and sing it on the first Platoon record was Michael Campbell. Although the man who is singing it here is Roly Daniels. He was actually born in Jabalpur, India. Then moved to Southern Ireland and grew up in Dublin. He is a fantastic artist and done an outstanding rendition to our song!
