Always amazes me seeing that many worms in each handful!! Obviously you're doing everything the worms like.
I must admit that I was also quite surprised :)
I'm thinking only 1% of worms left in the castings. I know I have more and eggs in mine, because my son said the flower pot I put a tomato in is full of worms now. LOL! Eh, he got free castings, and a free worm population. :D
I'm thinking you have 10, 000 worms! Am I close?
In the beginning of the video you can see the small green table near the bottom of the spreadsheet document that tallies up the estimated worm population of all my active bins. At the present time, the estimate is actually somewhere in the vicinity of 40k :)
Definitely a lot of worms... I'm gonna say 1800 for each bucket.
👍🏻
So do you like the yellow buckets for breeding ? What is your reasoning for doing the buckets again?
Ever since I started observing a 'visitor' to one of my bins while it was resting on the floor, I have stopped keeping bus bins down there... limiting me on the amount of shelf space I have left. With the buckets I feel like I can have them on the floor without such concerns.
As for whether I like the buckets for breeding... I'm not sure. I don't think they are optimal for that due to the limited surface area they provide. And with the somewhat crowded conditions I've created I'm suspecting that I might not get a great deal of breeding :)
Yeah I think trays are better for video purposes it’s visual
3 = 400
4 = 600
5= 800
The last bucket was almost half the tray lol
👍🏻
Not very good at this
I would guess 1000 worms each bucket maybe more. That was amazing amount of wornys
👍🏻
