I guess it's hard for me to think of "Leo Vader" and "tryhard hack desperately attempting to stay relevant and feed the algorithm" in the same breath, so the idea that someone so consistently funny and competent could be struggling with imposter syndrome when he's 100% the real deal sounds alien to me.
Leo Vader has so many hallmarks of a more classic UA-cam era. Cartoony side characters, a fantastical framing device, weird tangents, things that could easily be done badly. Yet he executes them with such a genuine stride. Gags I have grew weary of in most UA-camrs, I enjoy without an ounce of irony in a Leo Vader video. Each one is extremely rewatchable, which is a rare quality. Such wonderful premises full of creativity. Questions that no one asked but now keep us up at night. I relish every upload. And if somehow Mr. Vader happens upon this comment, I hope you will continue to upload for the foreseeable future. Perhaps one day you will have bad idea for a video. I'm feeling this right now. Working on my Uni Dissertation, and I've been jumping from trying to find the perfect way to categorise all stories in human history, to innately understanding the psychology of the internet, and everything inbetween. I've felt like bullshit, overreading everything, tripping myself up in pedantic details, spiralling in big words like "metamodernism" and "gestalts" and other concepts I don't understand. I want to sum up everything I've dipped my toes into in this Bachelor's Degree but I just can't. I'm slowly accepting that I have to find something humbler I'm passionate about, work on it bit by bit, and see where I can grow from there.
