- Ahoy Team, this week you join me on the breakwall battling it out with the most UNDERRATED sportfish of all time, the Rock Blackfish or Luderick! After a quick bait collecting mission early in the morning, I headed out with my float fishing set up to see if I couldn't lock horns with a couple, thankfully they were ready and waiting completely undeterred by the wind and rain!

Nothing screams professional fisherman more than a pair of light blue Bermuda shorts😉😂. This fishing looks similar to where we fish at home, north coast of Northern Ireland. Only it’s generally raining here

Finally got in the salt myself, was a sporty day. Poseidon said he'll let us out, but we were going to pay for it. Sore knees, back, neck, and enough bruises to trigger an abuse investigation later....I got one decent 8lb Ling Cod. And 2 Dungeness crab. Wasn't the most productive day on the salt, but I am VERY happy to have just made it out. And Ling just makes it sweeter!
Those Black Bream about like our Red Tail Surf Perch. Wee bit bigger, but close enough. Looks like a great feed!

I’ve done it on fly a few times now, it is pretty epic! Harder to do in the wind though and when they’re sitting deep in a hole 🍻🍻

Glad you said something, I thought I was the only one irritated. Might be the same sort that would do the same thing to a boater pulling in nice ones. Just wrong.
They asked, and Sam said it was ok, it didn't stop Sam catching any fish, so what's the problem ?
Yeah I agree. I don't think them being there was an issue but the way they pulled up would have set me off. Literally feet away from his set up. I respect that they asked to fish there but have some decency and steer clear of the fishing area.

@@SammyHitzkeFishing I have been run up on a bunch of times by both googans and professional charter captains it’s low either way but hey when you can’t find the fish on your own. I have had words with guys a few times even had a guy call my work and try to get me fired over words after this type of thing. Still working still fishing still catching.
