Fun watching you grow into a tech superstar. Right before my very eyes!
I lovr your content
Thank you so much for the review, Betty! We're really impressed you got back to your typing speed so fast! 🏎
oh thank you for your feedback!

I'm so glad you reviewed this. I've been a Dygma Raise owner for almost 2 years! Funny enough, this is also my first mechanical keyboard 😂 I love it and currently have Kailh box pinks on mine. I tend to agree with you that I don't want ortholinear or columnar since I didn't have much of a learning curve for this. Since this is currently my only board (though I have ordered 2 1800 layouts), I can say it's held up really well for daily usage. I often keep a planner/notebook in between the keyboard (unless I have my coffee, tea, or snacks there 😁😁). Though I love the thumb clusters, just beware of thumb pain and injuries that I ended up getting in the thumb joint. When I remapped the keys to other things and didn't use some of the thumb clusters, the pain went away. Other than that, the Raise is wonderful.
Won me a dygma raise on eBay for $200 brand new! Split keyboard wasn't ideal for eBay seller so I scored a deal! Black on black with tenting kit and enchantment kit! I already ordered some Kailh Box Jades and custom keycaps to make it my own! Super stoked 💯🤙🏽
Aloha
Looks great actually. Reminds me of the split, ergonomic keyboard Microsoft bought out in the days of WINDOWS 95.... loved that keyboard. Those were the days lol.
True 🥹
They still have a version of that keyboard, it's what I type on every day for work. Trying to learn a new layout (ISRT) on the Moonlander, but the Microsoft Ergonomic (split-ish) is what I'm using currently.
i've had that...this keyboard for a bit over a year. damn do i love this thing. wrist pain and shoulder pain went away. I thought it would help with the wrist pain, the shoulder pain i wasn't expecting. i'm not sure if it's cause i can open up more with this thing or what. honestly, i'm just glad my right shoulder hasn't hurt me in a long time.
on a side note, one of the stranger moments of using this keyboard is getting an email from Luis their CEO asking me how i was liking it. I've never had a company ask me if i was still using their product and if i still liked it.
I know i sound like a shill, but i don't care. i've had nothing but good experiences with the keyboard and the company, so i'll support and promote them whenever possible, in hopes someone who might be having some kind of RSI issues can find something that helps them.\
Been running a Digma Raise (30% tenting) for a few months now. Love it. The first few days, I felt like I had to re-learn how to type. It was pretty bad, but I improved quickly. The first week or so, my wrist hurt, but that cleared out as well. I think the tenting was responsible for that, being a new typing position. I also tweaked the layers daily for the first few weeks, until it was perfect for me.
You should try out the beta Bazecore software, the mapping is much easier and the UI is nicer too.
Agree that if it had arrow keys it would be better. I wish it was a 75%.
I have been using this keyboard for about a year now and I enthusiastically endorse it. It has helped to improve my posture and reduce back/shoulder/neck pain. Layers take some time to get used to and customized optimally but it is totally worth it. Once you get used to layers, it is hard to go back.
I've had my Raise for a few years now and the split feature has been a life saver for my neck and shoulders. No more cramping my shoulders in to type, I can set the splits exactly where my shoulders align naturally. I hate the software, never did get it to work for me but the board works beautifully out of the box. I've done no mods, got the Speed Coppers, love how it feels and can type forever without pain. It WAS the magic pill for my neck and should pain btw lol
Love this video, especially the ergonomic part with tips. I’ve been thinking about buying a split design for a while now. But as a designer, I use the mouse with shortcuts spread on both sides of the keyboard. Remapping shortcuts in all apps I use isn’t an option (I don’t think it’s worth relearning them). So a split that easily comes together as one piece would be helpful. Thanks for the review!
Glad it was helpful!
That was a good review! I've been considering buying a split keyboard for several months now, but i haven't been able to find any that really suit my tastes/needs. This one could've been a good candidate, but the price is a bit high and the lack of physical arrow keys (I use them all the time for work) is a bit of a dealbreaker for me. But otherwise, i would've gladly bought this one~
I have 2 raise keyboards. This keyboard even without arrow keys is great. Just slap them on another layer on the home row and good to go. I find using any other keyboard is pointless. It's super easy to setup macros and super keys for bettering any workflow.
Glad to see this on the channel finally 😊 Been loving mine since 2019 😁
Great to hear!
Pro : When gaming I can split the keyboard and move the WASD side farther to the left instead of not getting my hand far enough to the left or moving hte entire keyboard; I can also keep the WASD side angled instead of just flat or only angled at the rear.
Con : I think I can make do with moving a whole 65% keyboard to the left instead of spending $349
Lol I was thinking the same thing
I mean there is those left hand only keyboards. I could have one of that and another keyboard in the tray or something.. but yeah I would say that a 65% can do the job
@@mauinisikawa1808 Plus the Redragon one has a wireless version, so if your typing keyboard has a USB-A port it'll make for less cable clutter without worrying about signal integrity, and for half the money of a wired Razer.
As much as one more thing is more clutter, something like a Royal Kludge with USB ports olus the Redragon left handed gaming keyboard will be under $150. Less than half the price of this keyboard that can split in half.
Hi Betty! Been watching your videos for a couple weeks now since I started getting into keyboards and your channel has been very informative and entertaining, I was wondering what your views are on artisan keycaps and if you plan on making a video about your favorite ones! Keep up the good content! 👍
Ooh, I wanted to see more split keyboarr content! You should try out the dactyl manuform, its a wacky curved split columnar keyboard thats open source!
nice build!!! the switches sound so good!!!
Thanks!!
A "nightmare with all the cables"? You mean like the two cables: USB + TRRS?
Don't even need TRRS, it's just 2 USB C that connects into the 'brain" the neuron, the two split halves don't connect to each other, and if you only use one half (gaming) it's just one USBC 🤙🏽
TTC Gold pinks are awesome imo. I also love split keyboards.
I've always been super curious to try something like this out. Someday! It seems nice.
If people started with an ergonomic keyboard, I doubt they'd ever consider using a regular one. But since ergonomic keyboards are so expensive and there's a learing curve to switching over, they simply aren't for everyone.
I use the Corne Keyboard and I would say that probably Sigma Rise will be so much easier to learn because it's basically a 60% staggered layout just splited , you do not need to get used to ortholinear or columnar arrangement that usually is common on split keyboard space
I'm on a UHK at the moment, but ordered a Dygma Defy. Can't wait until it arrives... My UHK has some quirks where the LED's will hang and I can't use any cable longer than 10cm between the two halves. The Dygma Defy is wireless and ortho. My first Ortho, so I hope I'll get used to it.
@Betty, we do wait you for the Dygma Defy...
Love these videos
thanks!

OH MY GAWSH NEW SWITCH AND CLICK VIDEO DROPPED
First time potential purchaser here. Perhaps do a video on all the terms. ANSI / ISO types of switch compatibility, keyboard types. All those things we need to know when we're on sites looking to buy a kit... thanks.
So I got this for my wife per your recommendation in another comment section for one of your other videos. She loves it. I’ve signed up for their Defy kickstarter for myself. Can’t wait to check it out.
It’s so clean, i love it, but I would never be able to use a split keyboard or/and spacebar. I type differently lol
yeah me too
great video but I must ask you Betty... will you continue to use the Raise?
I am glad you reviewed this one. great video and points made about this keyboard.
This keyboard is my daily work keyboard, and I backed the defy to step up my ergonomic journey. price is honestly fair if you look at features vs other similar split keyboards in the market.
I got the impression (unstated by Betty) that the keyboard was only sent for a review, and she has to send it back.
I’m guessing she also simply has a preference for more keys, regardless of how nice it was otherwise, so she’s not replacing whatever her preferred keyboard is at the moment with this.
Let’s face it: keyboard preferences are very individual and don’t always have pure logic involved.
never stops to entertain us
with dual modifiers you can easily set back arrows at the bottom right
nice vid ceep it up
I did a custom keyboard for the first time last week. All the lubing etc. and I have to say, I absolutely hate doing it. It’s the most tedious annoying time waste I’ve ever come across and I’m never doing it again. I think it’s great that people do this for a living and enjoy it, so I can just buy one that someone else customized. Bit pricey to have someone else do it, but it’s worth it if you “need” one.
The layout looks simple to use!!!
Yay upload
Looks super cool. U are a huge inspiration to me. One day I hope that I can do the same things that you do.
thank you!
I tend to mix right and left hand keys usually T & U. This would help me fix it.
Nice, their Defy will be even more amazing!
What about the Glove 80 and Advantage 360 though? I gravitated to the Glove myself.
Oh, removed the ortholinear, I meant columnar.
Hi @Switch and Click why can’t I find the black cherry pie switches on a Chinese online shop, I don’t know what’s the name but can u teach me how to find that switch?
Is the Y-split basically a USB hub? I’m looking for something similar that’s small profile to join my main board and numpad with ONE cable going back to computer, all other split systems seem to use TRRS
I use a split keyboard, its nice since it puts my hand close to a functional reach position with the wrist slightly supinated. I passed the nbcot and was surprised of the amount of keeboard questions lol
Love it
Betty I got some switches to make my hyper x alloy origins 60 better but I can’t take out the original switches. what do I do.
"Don't split your keyboard, split your hands."
-Someone i guess
traeger-esque keyboard
*donna meagle has left the chat*
What was the board on your desk while you were showing off the split? Looked really nice.
Sorry this is off topic but i was wondering if i can lube my stabilizers with calcium grease bc i dont have any other grease at hand. Is it going to ruin anything?
What in the split!
Hey s&c can you mod a Evo Core Nemesis Keyboard? I have one but I upgraded it to a Onn mechanical keyboard.
Are you going to try the Keyboardio Model 100 when it comes out? I'm really curious to see your thoughts once the Kickstarter backers receive their units!
Could you compare this to a ducky x varmillo keyboard?
I love my ducky x varmillo but need more room to spread out and I’m thinking of getting a dygma
Nice Keyboard
Ergo/Ortho keyboards always seem so appealing when I think about ways to improve my posture while typing. I have an annoying tendency to shift my keyboard to one side of my desk and type with my shoulders titled to the left side of my body. I have to make a conscious effort to put my keyboard directly in front of me in order to align my shoulders properly. Once I do this, I feel a little bit better, but it might be time for me to invest some money into a quality office chair.
The community really needs to come up with a better term than tenting cause before there were angled split keyboards tenting meant something different...
I daily the Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard. If you can gets your hands on one and mod one I'd be interested
when do you think the kbd67 lite r4 will be in stock?
i have a question what would happen if my mechanical gaming keyboard with blue switches ran out of keystrokes or if i go over it?
Nice vid
wow split keyboard
cool keyboard
Thanks for the great review!!! As keyboard reviewer, which one is more comfortable between split keyboard or Alice keyboard? Appreciate if you can give me your thought. Thanks
The old switch and click :)
Staggered and ergonomic are opposites to me
It's such an obvious improvement that I'm surprised Ortho isn't main stream.
You'd think gaming companies atleast would sell lined up WASD as a feature.
We've also made a columnar keyboard. It's called the Defy. This one is great to start getting used to a split design, extra thumbkeys, layers, tenting...
@@DygmaLab it’s also ideal for those of us who have to frequently switch keyboards. I work at a hospital and am only using my main about 30% of the time. Constantly switching between staggered and ortho would be tough. Anyway, glad you offer both 🙂
what's staggered mean
@@jackalexande like a traditional keyboard that uses a typewriter key layout
Ortho means grid-like key layout
Columnar stagger means the stagger is vertical, supposedly to match finger length, usually paired with an ortholinear layout because a regular (horizontal) stagger would get in the way of vertical stagger
yoo new vid after a bit of time
That definetly looks new
I would've thought that ortho would have helped typing speed, but maybe you need a splayed ortho, or maybe our muscle memory from years/decades of traditional stagger is just too much to overcome. There's probably a lot of personal difference to it, too, as I have seen people say the opposite.
Nice videos and is the keyboard good? (I'm using redragon rn)
Please please please make a video on budget king keyboard.
so neat i wish i had a mechanical keyboard :b
Hey. I have question... can i use switches with normal keyboards? I would be happy if u answer. Thanks🙂
Nice video
Thanks
Nice job team

can you make a video with the new GMMK 2 please :)
Can’t wait for the next video allready 😄😁🤨😃😀😄😁
love that!
@@SwitchandClickOfficial Wawu I never thought u would reply 😃😀😄😁
Not exactly a ergo person but it's cool that ergo keyboards are evolving.
going back to a design made for typewriter is not evolving
It’s definitely a good time to be looking for alternative keyboards. Gamers and coders are breaking their hands, and know how to design, build, and ship hardware. Lots of creative options coming from that.
Very unrelated, but can you review and mod the GameStop keyboard (Atrix sniper)?
You should do using one hand keyboard for 24 hrs 😂
can u also review Moonlander?
This keyboard. Shouldn't that be "these keyboards"? I do like the fact that they connect together. Love the channel, subscribed some time ago.
Nice vid 👌
Could you try build a 60% keyboard but it’s budget friendly?
Carpel tunnel scared rn
Can u make a video with the biggest computer pls?
Hey switch, I really enjoy your videos and it would be great if we can buy the keyboards you upgrade, I don’t have a good one because I’m always in a 40-30 budget because I’m not old enough to get a job, so it would be awesome if you sold the keyboards you upgrade(:
U used the split keyboard I have STOP USING MY STUFF AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Its not more "natural", its more what you're used to. You've spent most of your life on a staggered layout. Its comfortable, its home... Its still ergonomically and logically crap.
That is exactly what I though when she said that. It's "normal" just because it's ingrained into us. But just because it is doesn't mean it's good.
@@AlphaSphere Aye, its to be expected that it feels weird at first and of course someone won't be even close to comfortable with it after only 24 hours. It can take a couple of weeks of consistent use to get used to it. And a fair while longer to be able to switch back and forth between staggered and ortholinear without getting tripped up by the differences. But the switch is WELL worth it for anyone with related injuries or looking to prevent them, or even just someone who wants to be comfortable whilst typing.
Day 21: Review the Redragon k617 Fizz it's a 60% Hotswap keyboard it is just 36$ in my country it comes in white and grey, and white and pink it is a really good keyboard for its price.
Wait why do you think it's better than the ortho split kb?
Seeing that someone made this splits my brain in half ( just joking ) and
And?
To be fair your brain is in half, left and right
AND WHAT?!!!
