Agree. Quality maintenance might be one of the reasons why ABBA stopped being active after 10 years. It was enjoyable and profitable while it lasted but there came a time they felt they should step aside.
Could be quite hard to maintain the vibrancy when they were well in their 40s.
Furthermore, audience acceptance of active aging was not yet that prevalent 40 years earlier.

I was a huge ABBA fan, and when they split in 1982, I cried. They swore there would never would be a reunion! I'm glad I lived long enough to see they changed their minds! Yes! I bought the new CD!
ABBA are one of three bands whose music lends itself to lavish orchestral arrangements,the other two bands being The Beatles and Queen.
A true song that brings out all of the emotions. Happy, sad , melancholy.
Until now this music of Abba Dancing Queen still popular even here in our country the Philippines. And of course Abba is my fav group I have their cassette tapes and CDs.
ABBA is also still popular in Europe 😊

I played this sing with the Sydney Symphony at a Lea Salonga concert & it just didn't work with a Orchestra but this arrangment was fabulous & really well performed by a great Orchestra. Congratulations all around.
